The thing is I'd never played any Star Ocean game until I bought the one I mentioned. I'm a pretty big RPG fan so I assumed I'd like it, in face I've never played an RPG I didn't like, even if I'd never heard of it before. Yes, I had that much trouble believing they'd try to pull of such a retarded plot twist for real. I'm not even a fan of Star Ocean, but I can still see how badly that raped the series.
