I cant count how many times I've moved in behind a wall for cover and then fired a rocket launcher at the wall, especially in the Conflict games
I've done similar things during games of Worms. Like miss-aiming and shooting myself, falling into water, etc.

In Far Cry 2 I played for a LONG time and finally got to a mission about halfways through the game in which I had to go to either the church of the main city or the bar of the first massive map. i chose to go to the bar to save my "buddies" and quicksaved before walking in. After a shootout I failed and got killed by numerous outside enemies and quickloaded right after dying.

I did this, I kid you not, 30 times.

After that I watched to the end after I died and realized that it was a "supposed to lose" fight and the game doesn't game over after you die like usual, it goes to a mandatory main story sequence way the f*** off at the edge of the map.
I thought that would happen to someone out there. Thankfully it wasn't me.

Same here. I think it's awarded randomly, I really do.

Also, I've alerted the horde in Dead Air by running through the metal detectors. (-_-)

I know I sound like a real n00bish L4D player now, but really, I'm not. I promise.

This and buying Mercenaries 2.

Also, I was completely oblivious to the artillery guns in B:BC that i was supposed to use to take out the shitload of tanks. Instead, (except for this last time I would ever play it) I just tried to drive through cursing and swearing.

Well, when your GameBoy says "Please do not turn off your GameBoy until it has finished saving" you'd better damn well believe it.

Four corrupted files later...
Haha this is my favorite one. Oh how I miss my gameboy.

I just realized another stupid thing that I did. I sold my gameboy and 12 great games to a trade in store....for about $50. I bought Guitar Hero 2 with that. Which led to Rock Band, and even more wasted money on that freaking DLC. Then my 360 broke. I'm done now. I should have never sold my gameboy.

I played Too Human. Then I gave it away. Then I wondered how anybody could like such an awful game.

Purchasing Prey, NBA 2k7 and Rainbow Six Vegas. What makes it worse, is that I bought all those games at the same time. They were all terrible wastes of money.
Vegas? That game was AWESOME.
No, it was not.

I was playing Half Life 2, and I was escaping to Ravenholm. I reached the bit at the first mine shaft with the padlocked ladder. Except I didn't know it was padlocked. So I spent half an hour (probably more) stacking crates and trying to get to the ladder. I loaded the last quicksave and saw the padlock.

I have two, and both involve helicopters.

In Battlefield: BC, there's an achievement for tagging a helicopter with an air strike. To do this you have to get out of cover, aim steadily at the chopper for a few seconds, then guide in the air strike manually while hoping the chopper doesn't move far enough to get out of your reach with the missiles tiny aiming radius. You can take damage during all of this. You cannot heal during all of this. Damn you DICE...

In Saints Row 2, getting a 4-star rating or higher spawns an attack helicopter with auto-targeting missiles that will instantly kill you on any difficulty in any vehicle other than an APC or another attack chopper. What they don't mention is that for the last few missions of the game they'll spawn choppers to attack you regardless of your wanted level. I died more times than I can count trying to dodge missiles while on a Sea-doo racing towards a yacht in the second to last mission (no checkpoints, you have to restart every time you die) before realizing that I could just hop on the Sea-doo, hop back onto the pier, and take the chopper out with a rocket (it doesn't seem to fire missiles when you're on foot) before heading off to the rest of the mission unmolested. Damn you Volition.

Though to their credit Volition did make the choppers in Red Faction: Guerilla much weaker and easier to kill. They're still a threat, especially to your allies, but one well aimed Nano Rifle shot to a wing brings them down quickly and satisfyingly.

I pulled a Leeroy Jenkins thinking I would be cool, I did the shout and everything. Sadly they looked at me like a queer. Now I'm a sniper.

I went into a domination match and had a 22 killstreak w/nuke on my killstreak and the enemy called in a care package right beside me that contained an AC130 I got 2 kills off the care package and a tactical inserter spawned behind me. I died. Why didn't I calm down a little and check my surroundings? :( no nuke for pandaman.

Does buying this count?
no, this is a stupidest thing thread, not best.
Paying $349.99 as well as $99.99 for the wireless router and $49.99 for a year for Xbox live that I barely use? No..twas very stupid. And to think my friends told me it was the best system. I'll stick with the system I've been using for nearly 4 years thank you.

yeah, buying the wireless adapter was pretty stupid =/
While very stupid, I needed it(well not really but you know) I'm way too far from my modem. And since the Wii(the system I've been using for nearly 4 years) has built in Wi-Fi, my xbox 360 has been collecting dust. Though today, I finally played it again for a little Modern Warfare 2 and all the racial slurs, the "******" insults, etc quickly reminded me why I love Nintendo's decision not to include voice chat...in some games. I'm still waiting on Baby Tea to announce the Forza 3 tournament. But At the same time, I did buy the 360 mainly for Forza Motorsport 2 and I wasn't disappointed. And I got Forza Motorsport 3 and I LOVE it. So it's not that stupid to buy it, but I did waste a lot of money on it. On attachments. I only own 6 games for it and the Wii I own over 30+ games.
