I used to play alot of Resident Evil: Outbreak online with my best friend in 2006. I played right up until they shut the servers down. Metal Gear Solid 3 had some fun online too, but I digress.

For those of you familiar with Outbreak, the first level took place in a bar. You had to make your way onto the roof and out onto the street.

Well, beside one of the doorways on the second floor were a bunch of boards propped against the wall. In the staff room of the bar, not far from this door, was a nail gun. You could use this nail gun as a weapon, or to seal the doorway with the boards beside it.

So my friend and I would run up the stairs ahead of the other players and board up the door, sealing them with the zombies, and continue on alone.
Then if they managed to break down the door and survive, we would ask for items.

Has anyone ever made it to the top using this strategy? If not, then why are you complaining about it? Clearly your own ineptitude is the only thing preventing you from dealing with it.

I play on a semi-private TF2 server, and we had some jackass hacker come on the one day. He was aimbotting and no-clipping around everywhere during one of the "fun matches" we have on weekends. Needless to say the admins brought down the ban hammer on him quite quickly.

Other than that, just the usual laundry list of bullshit that seems to infect modern FPS games. There's a reason I've gone back to playing the original Rainbow 6; no quickscoping, no dolphin diving, just good tactical shooting.

I hate thoose intentional team killering douchebags. When I get into a tacticly-viable position, the kill me and think it's hilarious. They just ruin the game for me.
See that's why it's hilarious, because it's a game and people get worked up over something that you shouldn't get worked up about.
I was half joking, but seriously, stop that!

Was playing MAG. I was made the squad leader of a squad filled with people from one clan. I gave orders, we were winning, get close to the end and they kicked me.

In Everquest, exp and looting rights basically went to the single person that did the most damage to it. In the most popular zones, there were always killstealers lurking near loot dropping mob spawns ready to swoop in and try to race the group camping the mob for the loot. In the opening months of the game, on my server it was mostly my 'fellow' clerics who engaged in it (quite a few druids too). Clerics were plate wearers with mana inefficient nukes who could grab the loot and run out of the zone, killing everyone else with their massive train of mobs (I can't believe how many of their names I've forgotten).

Just one of the many reasons why WoW virtually absorbed the EQ player base, even though it was changed from individual to group after a while.

Some dickhead who, for about 2 weeks, would constantly stalk me in Red Dead Redemption's online. Any time I died in that game, it was always him with a fucking sniper rifle. I swear he didn't even bother with any in-game stuff, he just spent his time hunting me like an animal.
you know, i've never played Red Dead Redemption, but that actually sounds like fun! just hunting a player like an animal; tracking him down, following his path, then finding a nice sniper post ahead of him, and just waiting with your finger on the trigger, until BAM, you shoot the guy dead, and start all over again!

I hate people who try to excuse griefing online, in any game.

In EVE Online, I recently lost a cargo hauler full of original blueprints (yay me for not using an alt, whatever) to a bunch of fuckwits. Then they invited me to TeamSpeak, and I swear this is true, they demanded I send them naked pics of my mom, grandma etc. And they "apologized" for shooting me, claiming they were gunning for a hauler from someone else's corporation. Bearing in mind that I wasn't even in a player corporation when this happened.

I don't understand why you mention Quickscoping as if it automatically makes you a douche. It isn't even an unfair way to play given that anybody who is good at it does 10x better playing normally.

You do realize that makes you the bad one not them? Camping is a legitimate strategy and CoD shouldn't only be played by people who run and gun.

Sorry but that seriously made me laugh, he was one of those serious griefers that know the more you annoy someone the more annoyed the person becomes.

I was playing CoD 4 the other day and this one guy, on my team, comes up behind me while I am sniping and knifes me. I didn't die but it was to tell me to move. I said to him "I'm not moving, so just leave." then I get shot through the head with him behind me and the enemy gets a double kill headshot. I come back to the same area to try and snipe again and this bastard just throws a grenade at me and switches teams so the grenade changes teams (its called nade switching) and he kills me. Just for a freaking sniper position.

Healers in MMORPGs who won't heal you at the most important times, like in a fucking BOSS FIGHT!
Also people who Quick Scope and die 10 times when trying but if they can do it one freaking time, one time! You will never hear the end of it, they continuously say that they got a QS and they are so pro. They won't even mention how they are a detriment to the team.

I think you misunderstood what I meant. I'm saying that killing campers is the best way to get a rise out of players as is killing someone on a high kill streak. And you're right, they can choose to camp, run and gun or a hybrid of the two. I play the way that involves shooting my own teammates and tormenting them because they take a game too seriously.

But why do you need to get a rise out of people? These people at least play the game well and are helping your team, if you must team kill then perhaps kill someone who isn't helpful at all, like yourself. If you bought the game just to go online and team kill than that is low, real low.

Basically you're just trolling in games were you kill people playing well.

I don't really need to get a rise out of people, it's just much more enjoyable for myself. And you know what, if people have such a problem with it then they (for example) shouldn't play modes like Hardcore, they could go to Core and not get team-killed. I'm not saying they have to stop playing Hardcore, but if you choose to play Hardcore you know that you could enter a lobby where a guy is team-killing and possibly "ruin" the game for you. If you don't like the lobby you leave, plain and simple.

Besides I can't tell you how many times I've gone into a game team-killed a person and we spend the entire match bantering back and forth and killing each other. And at the end of the game there is no hard feelings. I've actually had people tell me that they way I play is much more fun that actually playing it how it's set up. That is what every person playing online should be like. If they don't like the team-killing you can leave at anytime, if they feel the need to retaliate by all means go ahead. It's all in good fun and anyone who has a problem with it takes the game too seriously.

Red Dead online is lots of fun. Sure people can and will shoot you on sight but it's tons of fun. Get it! Or if you just wanna try multiplayer (I pity you greatly) get the Undead Nightmare collection. You not only get Undead Nightmare (which is fucking fun as hell) but multiplayer and all the multiplayer DLCs as well for about 30 bucks.

OT:Complainers - was playing TF2 as a pyro and I was kicking this guy's ass who was a spy (and a terrible one at that). So he sends me a message calling me a noob and a ni**er. Yeah I'm a noob when you keep disguising as classes THAT WE DON'T HAVE!!!!

Team killers - Was playing Undead Overrun on Red Dead with two friends and some guy. The timer is almost out and it's almost sudden death time when I see that my two friends had been killed. They yell to me to watch out because the other guy got them. I look on the mini-map and see that he's on his way towards me so I grab my semi-auto shotgun and wait. Sadly my friends neglected to tell me what weapon he killed them with because his blunderbuss killed me in one blow.

Spamers - People who just use the same weapon because it's easier than using a weapon that the situation calls for. Case in point: high powered pistol spamers in Red Dead.

People with headsets that don't know when to stop talking! Geez, everytime I'm playing CoD:MW2 or even Modnation Racers, there's a Chatty Cathy somewhere in there; the only person with a headset, yelling everytime he gets killed, cursing the gods everytime they lose, narrating every single thing they do. I end up muting everyone with a headset because I don't know if they're gonna feel the need to share their life stories with everyone else in the middle of the match.

Hackers, of course. They somehow got to me and made me level up on MW2 and now I'm a powerful newbie. I'm actually angry about it.

Obstacle campers, I call them. I ran across this the most when I was playing Killzone 3 beta. We're all protecting one location so we're just keeping guard all over the place. This guy decides to root himself to a spot. Alright, I guess I'll go patrol the area. Only problem is, he's standing in the middle of the doorway and won't move or take a hint to move! I actually ended up shooting a warning bullet to the guy, but he simply brushed it off, looked at me and kept at it. So I had to "accidentally" kill him.
See, I don't mind campers. Snipers could be efficient campers. Dumb campers get me, though.

Well, one day a good friend of mine decided to get Crackdown 2, because he'd played it over at the rest of our little groups various houses and decided it'd be worth the buy. So he gets started, and someone decides that, after joining his game and noticing that he was reasonably higher level than our friend (at least level 4 in at least one of his skills), he'd take it upon himself to chase my friend around and ensure that he accomplished nothing.

Well, about an hour later the rest of us come online to play Crackdown 2, and us having had the game longer and Crackdown succeeding in bringing out the achievement whores in all of us, we were level 6 across the board and had just bought the Toybox DLC. Our friend told us about his little incident and the only thing we said back was "check your recent players list, what was his name?"

We found him and spent the next 4 hours hunting him from game to game, laughing at his inability to touch us and basically doing everything we could to get a rise out of him. Somehow it's very satisfying to hear someone scream so loudly into their mic that it just comes out as static.

I'm aware I'm a terrible person. But god holy damn if it isn't funny. Seriously, jet boots+wingsuit+ rocket launcher, grenade launcher, and cluster bombs=very hard to hit target that just carpet bombs everything.
