I got an A on my first paper for management class. [http://cpabyforty.blogspot.com/2010/09/pseudoscience-bullshit-it-must-be.html] (my title for it: "Pseudoscience! Bullshit! It must be MANAGEMENT!", but when I turned it in I retitled it "Your Horoscope For Today". It's about Myers-Briggs.)

Read and enjoy!

Today one of my friends thought it would be funny to throw a volleyball at my head. Luckily at the exact moment he throws it, I begin to scratch my ear. The volleyball ricochets off my arm and hits my friend smack dab in the middle of his face. Gotta love karma.

Gravity is actually flat. seriously. look it up.

also, nations dont exist but they exist because of the idea of a nation. a goverment is imposed on a fabricated nation, which actually creates the divide between different goverments, and ultimatly, creates nations.

also, goats can climb trees.

My Paladin in DDO is modeled after my girlfriend. The toon's named Lyrcene. That's from LYdia Rose ChENEy. I thought it was clever at the time. She's also a fan of Larxene from Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. Yes, some MMO players do actually have girlfriends.

In classical genetics, synteny describes the physical co-localization of genetic loci on the same chromosome within an individual or species. The concept is related to genetic linkage: Linkage between two loci is established by the observation of lower-than-expected recombination frequencies between two or more loci. In contrast, any loci on the same chromosome are by definition syntenic, even if their recombination frequency cannot be distinguished from unlinked loci by practical experiments. Thus, in theory, all linked loci are syntenic, but not all syntenic loci are necessarily linked. Similarly, in genomics, the genetic loci on a chromosome are syntenic regardless of whether this relationship can be established by experimental methods such as DNA sequencing/assembly, genome walking, physical localization or hap-mapping.

Students of genetics employ the term synteny to describe the situation in which two genetic loci have been assigned to the same chromosome but still may be separated by a large enough distance in map units that genetic linkage has not been demonstrated.

After 3 years of being unemployed, I got a job today! YEEEEEAAAAAAA!!!

It's only $0.10 above minimum wage, but it's more than I've made in the past 3 years combined, so I'll take it!

I've got a friend who's an insomniac agnostic; he stays up all night wondering whether or not there's a dog.

On another note, the claim that Obama is a Muslim or a terrorist is insane. Not that there's anything wrong with being a Muslim, but the fact remains that Obama is NOT a muslim. How do we know this:
1) Remember in 2008 about that controversy involving Obama's PASTOR, one REVEREND Wright? The news reported at that time that Obama had been attending that church for years and years.
2) You're saying to me that some hicks in Alabama could stumble across the fact that Obama is a Muslim Terrorist, while the NSA, FBI, CIA and all the world's intelligence agencies never picked up on it? Even when the Bush administration was in charge? If these Birther/Muslim claims had ANY weight to them at all, why didn't the Republican party use it during the 08 campaign?
3) Newspaper records dating back from the 60's document Obama's birth in Hawaii. Unless you're some crazed conspiracy nut who believes that the illuminati are controlling everything behind the scenes with the lizard people who planted the evidence over 49 YEARS AGO, that's compelling proof that Obama is a US citizen.

If 21% of US americans believe that some rednecks in Alabama could find out that Obama is a Kenyan Muslim, while all the intelligence services in the world couldn't find that out, then 21% of the US population has clearly been drinking far too much alcohol.
1. "reverend" Wright is a Black Liberation Theology minister, which uses Christian as well as muslim and humanist tenets as part of their belief that spirituality will free them from their bonds. They call their pastors reverends and ministers even though the MINISTER Louis Farrakhan is a member of The Nation of Islam. Not knocking their religion, but they're about as Christian as Unitarian Universalists are.
2. Who that's credible ever called him a terrorist? That's like saying every Christian is a bible-thumping bigot. Being Islamic would never in itself raise a red flag with the CIA. Also, McCain was inept and refused to do any real fighting in the campaigh, and his timidity is why most things about him were never brought up. Also if he is muslim, so what? That means absolutely nothing as long as he has the country's well-being at heart and does his job.
3. The only documents brought forth by the administration was a certificate of live birth. He refuses to show any other records. You can actually get one of those for a noncitizen child as long as theres no proof that the baby was born outside of the country. If he was born outside tthe US but was brought to the US in time to get the certificate, they'd have given it as long as he was the right age. I'm not a birther personally, but you can see how this administration's refusal to simply show it all to end the debate can raise some eyebrows. Also, rednecks from Alabama? A lot of people who Obama KNOWS that are known to the public aren't sure of his birth, having occasionally CALLED him KENYAN.
My reply is going to start a flame war, but so be it. I hate automatic assumptions.

There's a "Quote" button on the bottom right of each post. It'll automatically tag up that post for a quote and you just type your response below it. :)
