no more dark games! BOYCOTT! Halo is great in that it takes themes that usually gets placed in dark environments and throws them into the light. If they made the game originally as a dark game I don't believe it would have ever achieved it's mass market appeal.

Indeed if anything it needs to take itself less seriously. Since the OP is unaware this has already been attempted they called it Killzone 2 and it was even more boring than Halo.

Well the problem with that idea is that it only effects the campaign while most people buy halo for the online multiplayer
