I noticed that a lot of people here don't plan on having kids (from my other post). I'm looking for submissions for reasons *why* you don't want kids for my blog: http://childfreeisawesome.blogspot.com/
You can list them here, or email me, I really appreciate it!

I understand you have your rights and all, but a blog against children? Really?

Here, let me tell you why I do want kids:

I would like to be partially responsible for the human race to continue. If everyone went child free, bye bye us!

I don't plan on having kids any time soon because that's a giant fuck-up for the future. Wave buh-bye to college!

On a more long-term note, because they're a massive money drain, can be annoying, all that all that. Maybe I'll change my mind. Human nature to reproduce you know; and some people say that having kids is awesome. I dunno.
Assuming I'd get any; asshole I am, and handsome I am not.

I'm 20 and for the longest time i had no interest in having a child...

...Until the first time i held my 6 month old niece. Now me and my fiance are saving up and planning to have a child when were 25-26 if we can afford it and a good home for the child.

Honestly the reason why i didn't want a child for so long was because of all the snot nosed brats i have to put up with at work. After holding my new niece i just realized that it wasn't the child's fault. The parents are just idiots. Now i look forward to being a daddy.

Yes, I am also hoping for a daughter so i can take her as a little sister for Halloween. My fiance has promised me a big daddy/little sister Halloween. Yes, i am weird.

I'm saying "no" to children until we can get our act together in a bit more of a stable way. I don't want to bring a life into a potential hellhole.

It's not against children, it's just reasons why being childfree is so great.
Face it, people who don't want children face a lot of pressure in life due to our choices.
Plus, there are TONS of child based magazines out there, but how many for those who don't want kids?

In the off chance that I ever marry, I would choose to adopt. I'd rather not bring another child into the world when there are thousands out there who need a loving family already.

My entire family is allergic to general anesthetics and has a muscle condition two genetic flaws that I have no interest in passing on. Plus the whole overpopulation thing makes me skeptical on having children of my own.

Adoption on the other hand I am completely open to. Blood relations are meaningless to me so I see no problem with raising a child that is not my own and if they are already alive the world won't be any better off if they grow up in an orphanage.

I just don't like kids...when I see how some brats act now a days, I tell myself I am glad that they're not my kid. But if I meet the right someone I might change my mind.

i think its funny that most people on this forum are 13-25 or so years.

not many people are going to have kids at those ages!
