In Assassin's Creed when fighting "Robert de Sable". I was getting so pissed my boyfriend finally took the controller from me and turned off the console.

I try my hardest not to rage quit, especially in multi-player but I look at it this way I can either just turn my console off or I can throw my controller through my tv. I'd much rather keep my tv then save face.
God that was one annoying fight. It took me about an hour of fails before I beat that.
Remind me, which part was that? Was that in the dock area where you went to a funeral then killed your target? >_<"

I was on Left 4 Dead going for the no being healed and no friendly fire achievements. I was in single player mode, so they were all AI (yeah, I know this was a big mistake now). So I'm going through each level of No Mercy slowly and carefully, and I get to the Finale on 80 Health left, no friendly fire. First Tank comes, I molotov and run, got boomed so I couldn't see, Tank slaps me before dying. Despite still having 40 Health left, Louis decides he wants to heal me, I get annoyed but figure I'll still get friendly fire so it wasn't a waste. Hellicopter turns up, I'm running up the ramp, gunning a couple of Zombies in my way, when Louis steps infront of me and I hear "Hey, watch it!"
Ah man, I really sympathise with you there; that sounds horrible. I find it damn nigh impossible to avoid friendly fire, and I have the precision of a mouse and keyboard, so I can't imagine what it must be like with an Xbox. (I've actually never played an FPS on a console before, save for Halo, but that was about 4 or 5 years ago... So don't pick me up on the whole PC vs console argument here. I'm just assuming you get more precision with a mouse. As I said, haven't played the Xbox version, so I can't judge.)

AI characters can and will run in front of you just as you're about to shoot zombies. It always seems to happen to me if we're a couple of people short of a team and the remaining places are filled by them. Sometimes the friendly fire is actually my fault, and sometimes I'll be just crouching there shooting stuff and PEOPLE RUN IN FRONT OF ME FOR NO APPARENT REASON.

I forgot L4D in my list of ragequit experiences, actually. Playing a campaign on expert + repetitive death by tank = FFFFF. If I replay the stage for over 2 hours and we get nowhere, I just give up and take a break.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2.

Chapter 6, your all alone (for the first time in the whole game). I got to all pipes and shit and started shooting. It must have been 100 times I died before advancing. Then, there's a house full of terrorists. Normally you'd position your team strategically, but now YOU ARE ALONE. Alright then, I can take 5 or 6. Turns out it was Free Chocolate Day because the population of friggin Belgium was there. Armed. Hostile. Eating chocolate. Screw that game.

It doesn't happen often, but I experience the fury.

Final Bosses in SNK games
The tank in Metal Gear Solid
GTA 4, Act 4

I get angry, but come back a couple of hours later. The first two examples I could beat with patience, one day I might even get through GTA 4.

Yeah I think it was in a graveyard alright, archers all over the place you couldn't climb on anything or get near the target to assinate him...

Those archers pissed me the fuck off. I finally said fuck it and just ran up to where they were, then pushed them off. >_>

i rage quit COD:WaW on the burn 'em out mission on veteran. after what seemed like endless missions of germans and japanese throwing half their grenade inventory, i got stuck on this mission. then the ps3 kept on having a file read error so i had to start the mission all over again. not only did i stop playing but i sold that fucker.

The last time I played WoW was because I rage quit. But the last time I ragequit was with RE 5 online when I was with someone who just had to spam the O button whenever he was waiting for me for a team action. Even when I was right behind him.

Its a shame I dont have a usb mic for my PS3. I was there wishing there was a button for Chris to tell Sheva to shut the fuck up.

Halo 3 on mythic difficulty, (legendary, all skulls on.) I don't know why I even tried it. I only managed to get through 3 of the levels before I ultimately gave up, but 3 levels is still really good for the difficulty of it.

I tried Chrono Trigger recently.

After the 23rd form of the final boss absorbing a barely finite amount of damage, I lost patience, quit, and haven't played it since. Nothing is worth that much monotony.
You were attacking the wrong target. Never thought I'd hear someone talking about ragequitting in Chronotrigger.

I can remember two occasion's where I have rage quit.
The first was Blitzball. Now, I know the game was technically called Final Fantasy X, but that's not what I was playing. In order to get Wakka's (undoubtedly the most powerful character in the game) ultimate moves you needed to play Blitzball. I wanted to get this before I left the save point you first get the opportunity so I could get the move as early as possible. Unfortunately for me this means you have the worst players in the universe on your team (except Datto, he was awesome). You have to play through a tonne of matches until the randomly generated tournament gives you the "Attack Reels" prize for coming first. I started the tournament, got all the way to the final round and lost. And I lost 5-4 in overtime when the "random number subtractor" took about 10 off my goal keepers catch rating where I normally would've caught it. MAN did that infuriate me.

The second time was when I was playing The Force Unleashed. I had been trying to get to the end of this level for hours while playing the game on hard, had to go to dinner very soon and was getting very frustrated at just how many times I had died upon walking into that damned room. After AGES I finally got to the top of this thing on a sliver of health, walked into the room with the last bit and got shot at by a piece of scenery from a lower level and died. Between the hours of failure, inability to get to save and going to dinner with assholes I just turned the machine off and never played on hard difficulty in that game again.

I'm playing The Force Unleashed on 360. I think I'm cool enough for sith warrior mode(normal). 4 level's in, I realize I'm wrong. After dying so many times I go "FFF*HZUIDVNZLJHB*KK" and smash my controller at the floor, then I quit the game. I of course busted the controller.
