Pyro.

S/He Can't complain or anything if something goes wrong.
Although they also couldn't say "DUCK" or "BEHIND YOU"

I'd still take the pyro though. Me like fire.
I'd assume s/he'd shoot first and ask questions (or warn people) later.

If your are inbetween the enemy and the Pyro and s/he has to protect you this could cause a problem.

Although it could easily be solved with a kick to your nuts.

Ya I am gonna change my answer to engineer. Then I can just sit in a corner with a nice friendly not nut kicking turret in front of me.

I would choose the spy, as anyone trying to harm me would discover that their spine had been severed.

Probably the Scout, his scattergun is stupid powerful up close. He's also funny.
I would give him $5 extra an hour if he said "BONK!" every 15 minutes.
I would pay my spy an extra £500 if he killed your scout in a way that would make Park Chan-Wook throw up.

The engineer is noted for his defensive specialties, not to mention I just like him, so... the engineer.

I would go with the Sniper, he would take out my would be assassin first. Then we could work together to convince his father that he isn't a crazed gunman.

Pyro. Pyro's kick ass, and even if he fails, I would have fun before I died.

The Announcer. Who's going to come within 20 feet of somebody shouting "STALEMATE!"
Her yelling "YOU FAILED" would probably an even bigger deterrent.
"He's nearing the checkpoint!" as he crosses the street
The assassin is about to lock pick your door and he hears her say "YOU FAILED!"
Assassin thinks "Well if I already failed at getting the door opened so yeah..." He'll probably be a bit more persistent but that is still a morale killer. And that would definitely give you ample time to load your weapon when the alert is brought up early.

The Heavy would make a mighty intimidating bouncer. His hands are bigger than his head and that would be scary enough.

Spy. He can look as intimidating as he wants, or be invisible, depending on the situation at hand. He can keep you amused with his countless flawless impressions, and he can give you some free cigarettes.

First medic, I need no bodyguard when i can take bullets.
Then spy, he makes all problems banish and must be an awesome person to have in a party.
