He was a patriot and an asshole, but he was out to avenge the 30,000 soldiers who died under his command trying to capture Al-Asad.

The Heretic... thats that wierd alien thing that you play as or something isn't it?
No that's the Arbiter the Heretic was the guy you were sent to kill in the beginning who believed the prophets were a bunch of lying assholes and were using them for their own goals, which he was actually right about.

Sniper Wolf

She was a hot Russian lass with mad sniping skils. Why did MGS make me pull the trigger on someone like that?

Mine would be Bahamut in FFX-2. He's my favourite Aeon, and the music played made it, all the more sombre.

Maiden Astraea from Demon's Souls.

When you consider that you
invaded her home, and slaughtered her protector who wanted nothing more than to see her safe
you really feel like the bad guy.
You crafty ninja you.

Yeah, I'll go with Maiden Astraea since I can't think of any other time I killed a boss but didn't want to.

Kills him off even if you don't kill him
SO what's your villain you never wanted to kill?
All of the flying bosses in Shadow of the Colossus.

Paxton Fettel. Guy just kneels there. It's like, "fuck, I'm not just going to kill you, put up a fight!" Tried to shoot him in the kneecap but apparently he has archilles kneecaps that make him die. Whatever.

Saren Arterius. Pitied the guy. Too bad.

Dane Vogel. My kind of corporate arsehole. Could have got on with him I reckon... still, once betrayed me, had the power and arrogance to do it again... so shot to the teeth.

I always felt guilty when I beat up Balrog in Cavestory.
He was such a pushover, and I liked him a lot.
My feelings for him are confusing...

Yeah, have to agree with this.

The sheer fact that he was more or less the good guy in that conflict made it all the worse.

If you've ever played Prey:
I was actually really surprised at the emotional impact that game had.

Sinclair from bioshock 2 he was my only friend in that game
For killing the magic of the original I hated that game and as such I couldn't have cared less when Sinclair died by my hand. He was incredibly boring compared to Atlas. Thank christ he died.
I didn't want to hurt Dimitri in Sly Raccoon 2 (I know he didn't die). He was the ultimate pimp.

The Boss from Metal Gear Solid 3
I concur, as well as the Beauties. Hence why I did in each of them with non-lethals. Instead of watching them die, Snake just watches them . . . um . . . pass out? it's kinda creepy and akward, but hey, at least they have a chance at life right?

Aside from that the only ones I can think of are some of the Collosi. There's more than a few that aren't even concerned with you untill you start fucking with them. Especially the first one . . . he doesn't even know you're THERE untill you stab him in the leg and knock him down. I hated killing them . . . but I felt the path being taken was rightious enough that it was a worthy price to pay.
I personally don't feel like it was a worthy price to pay... they weren't really doing anything wrong. Death is a part of life and he should've just accepted it and left the damn collosi alone. I mean look how it turned out for him. It would be like an ant coming into your house and killing you because another ant was going to die. I wanted to kill all of the bosses in Metal Gear Solid until I finally beat them and it turned out that I felt like a complete dick killing them. Especially Sniper Wolf.
