I use "dildos" as an adjective now, which I got from Metalocalypse. I also use "batman" as an adjective, but as a good one, which I got from Venture Brothers.

Iv always used "retarded" instead of "gay". If Im summing a situation up with one word, its usually "************".

I just say, "Holy Zeus!". To mock my religious friends of course, but I got into the habit of saying it all the time.

I usually try to replace the word "gay" with "lame", particularly after a story my friend told me.

He said how he was at work one day and he let slip the phrase "that's gay" while a homosexual man was walking behind him. He called him out saying "That's not gay, that's lame. I'm gay."

So he started saying "that's lame", to which I made a joke at his expense every time he says that. I have a physical handicap that makes it difficult for me to walk, so any time he says "that's lame", I say "That's not lame, that's gay. I'm lame."

Would anyone here ever say something like "that's so Black" or "That's so Jewish"?
Some of my friends say "that's so Jewish" quite a bit. So yes, some people here would.

I've actually trained myself not to use 'gay' like that anymore. I usually just say, "That's dumb," "Shit," or "BLUBLUGYUH."
Same, I very rarely use it anymore.

Mind you, everything's being replaced by 'fuck' now. All other swear words are for fucking fucks.

I had a discussion about this with a friend recently. I'm personally of the opinion that it doesn't really matter, and that the context is everything, though, I very rarely use the phrase.

Also, does anyone else think it's odd that the meaning of the word 'gay' has been completely inverted? After all, it originally meant "gleeful" and "happy", and now in modern slang it's used to voice ones frustration.

I say, that's gay. And I reserve the right to do so. The problem isnt the word, it's the expression. At any iteration throughout history, the expression that denigrates something is also an expression that's bound to offend a small subset of the population. And that's just gay.

I hate it when people use the term "Gay" as a derrogatory. Not because it's offensive, but because it makes absolutely no sense.

That, and it reminds me of Eli Roth (a terrible, useless waste of a human being and an even worse film creator).

I use gay from time to time, also if I go to gamestop and sell a used game I come out saying "Man, I just got jewed again, why do I keep coming here?"

Its not that i'm prejudice its just that those words mean other things, kinda like Accept and Except, they're so close to the same that people get them mixed up but really they mean two entirely different things.

I've managed to work it out of my vocabulary, at least using it as derogatory. Now it's just, "That's Bullshit."

That's so gamer with more games than friends.
What I never understood about that overly PC poster was how they could overlook that all gamers WILL have more games than friends, the average person has, what, 20 friends? Compared to potentially hundreds of games?

And I don't think I use 'gay' or 'fag' as a substitute for something like 'FUUCK' but I notice a lot of people use it as their default swear word.

I usually say "Son of a..." and let it trail off so I don't offend someone by saying *****.

I find people get more upset when I say "Thats retarded" than when I say "Thats gay."

Oddly enough I have a buddy that uses "******" as his go-to curse, its almost got us shot a couple times. He's somewhat racist but whatever. Personally I hate everyone in equal amounts.

Never quite understood why people get all butthurt when you say it like that. I AM gay and I use gay, faggotry, buttf**k all in negative connotations on a regular basis.

People need to stop taking every chance they can to have something to complain about, imo.

I'm guilty of this from time to time, which I find strange because the word "gay" used to mean precisely the opposite. I wish that I didn't say it, because I think there is no need for it but it's a reflex. I think it started by saying it to make fun of people who actually mean it and it stuck.

I also say a lot of other things that I wish I didn't say, mainly "Oh my god!" and "Jesus Christ!". I'm not religious, those terms are meaningless to me and potentially offensive to others. There is no need for it and I should really stop, but they're so common that it becomes infectious.

I have a friend who says the "n" word in almost every sentence when playing video games. He is absolutely not racist in any way, shape or form. I still have no idea why he does it and cringe every time he does.

I think we all say things we don't mean.

I tend to use "Lame!" around polite company. It's really the epitome of "I'm disgruntled because something un-avoidable is hampering my ability to finish my tasks"
When in not so polite company I tend to use "This is fucking bullS**T!"
Either way, my point gets across without ever using "That's gay"
Are you picking up what I am putting down?
