I hate to sound cliche but I was in the Navy for 4 years and just got out and would have to say that if you don't cuss you are not respected I guess is some sense, but here is the Submarine song so you guys have some history lol =Pyundex said:Partially reminds me of:

Submarines Once, Submarines Twice
Holy Jumping Jesus Christ
We go up and we go down
We don't even fuck around
Aoogah! Aoogah!
DIVE! DIVE! DIVE!
Rat Shit Bat Shit
Dirty Old Twat
Sixty-Nine Assholes
Tied in a Knot
Cocksucker, ************
Gobble Gobble Chew
We are Submariners!
Who the fuck are you!
lol Literally that is the song. The brass wont let us sing it at parties or when they are around in public. Just when we are by ourselves lol or on a bus.
Oh we are, we truly are.NinjaDeathSlap said:If that was true, every black person who uses the N-word is racist...Susano said:Words always matter. If you're not a homophobe then you're not a homophobe, so it doesn't matter.
I like your point about the word "God". I use it as well, and usage of it somehow affirms the existence of the thing that you refer to. In that way, and that way only, I'd rather use the word "gay" than the word "God".Snotnarok said:Rarely say that anymore, because most of the time it has nothing to do with people who are gay. Unless we're talking about my cousin because he's VERY Gay and happily so. Right on man.
One thing I'm trying to sub out actually is God, because I don't believe in that stuff so I'd rather just remove it from my vocabulary entirely.
When the N-word is used it's only used in two instances: When someone is being honestly racist or when someone who is black uses it for whatever (generally) positive reason.NinjaDeathSlap said:If that was true, every black person who uses the N-word is racist...Susano said:Words always matter. Without wishing to sound patronizing to them, I'm a lot better spoken than most of my friends, and I hear them using language like that all the time. However, it doesn't bother me because their language is just an insight into how they've been brought up, and I know that underneath it all none of them are actually homophobic. For one thing, I'm bi, and I've never had any abuse from them (beyond occasional jokes, but the key word there being 'jokes')
Exactly! I love a bit of hypocrisy once in a while.Mr. Gency said:"That's gay!"Nimcha said:English is not my native language so I've never had this problem. On the other hand, since I'm gay myself it would be kinda cool to see people's reactions if I would use it as a curse word...

"How would you like it if someone called you gay."
"Oh, I'm gay so I can say it like that."
