I just cannot seem to defeat Seth in SFIV on any difficulty other than Easiest. He just spams sonic boom and then out prioratizes me with every move the moment I get close.

Jump at him: Shoryuken
Run at him: Get sucked in by his spinoglobe and super suplexed. If I avoid the spinoglobe and hit him he just Super Shoryukens me anyway, or super suplexs me.

ARRGH!

Which one? The one where he spams you with his famous line "SUBMIT!" or the "My size now equates to about half of England!"?

See, I'd have to say Demyx. Oh good God he was insufferable. Oh, and Arthrosaurus in Lost Odyssey. Oh, AND Elder Wyrm in FFXII. I'm not good with bosses towards the end of J-RPGs.

EDIT = The most memorable trial of my childhood:

Sinspawn Gui.

Had it with the Fushia gym in Pokémon Yellow. Couldn't beat the tosser's...Venomoth, I believe. Threw the game away in disgust and didn't touch it for months. A while later, I beat the guy.

Man, that was neat.
Heh, I'm heading on over to that Gym soon (yes I'm replaying Pokémon Yellow, how cool am I)

Although the most infuriating fight had to be Lorelei of the Elite Four. Her ice team raped me more times than I'd care to mention......
the first time i played the elite five four, it was one of the hardest moments in video games because i kinda rushed the lvling of my pokemon, but now when i replay it, i can kill almost everything with one pokemon

Oh totally, I was always underlevelled in the old games. Made for osme tedious battles with the Elite, slowly raising my team.....

The first phase,I.E. "Submit". His second phase was piss easy.

Sheep Dog n' Wolf for the PC. I think it is a good game, but there is a boss on one of the later levels who is nigh-on-unbeatable due to the fiddly PC direction arrow control scheme. There is no real way to finish the game unless you have a controller with yokes. Never finished that game.

Also this, for the retro gamers:

Legendary difficulty in Halo 3 and Insanity in Mass Effect 2...in both of these there's at least one point in each level or mission that's just a straight-up deadlock. A dozen enemies block your path, each of which can soak up gallons of damage. It's a common scenario that my Shepard will just be hunkered down in cover while Harbinger stands two feet away, pelting the barricade with a steady stream of rockets in case I get the idea of standing up to shoot.

Favela level on MW2 on veteran... Every time I need to reload, I'm screwed. I've reduced myself to hurling flashbangs and sprinting as far as I can. It's not working.
Do some people actually find this easy?

there were a lot of bullshit fights in ffxii, so many that i just gave up and never beat it. sephiroth in kingdom hearts 2 was very VERY hard but i still powered through and beat him. But i think the worst time ive ever had fighting a boss would be either the harrier fight, the vamp fight, or the solidus fight on extreme mode in mgs2. if you combine all the time i spent on those three, i probably spent over 6 hours trying to beat those bastards. that was the only time ive ever had to look up a video walkthrough on how to beat a boss. they humiliated me, wasted my time, and cast my soul into despair.

...goddamn you vamp...

Then I'm inclined to agree. Even on the easiest difficulty it was damn annoying getting thrown around by that damned move. Not to mention that his Heartless Guardian has a perfect block that can't be broken. At least he had a small health bar though.

I-no is easy, just when the giant spam attack happens, just do one of three things.

Giant cone - Double jump (triple jump if your chip), or fly if your eddie.
Line that curves up at the end - Crouch on the opposite side of the screen.
Curvy line that moves toward I-no - stay under the 'safe' part of the line and walk toward I-no with it.

Don't touch it. Don't attack her during the move, and its your ass if you cross her up.

Gold Justice is like 15 time harder. Its just no even cool what Justice can do in the first place. But fighting comps in a fighting game is a retarded waste of time anyway.

The final boss in Killzone 2 where you confront General Radek (I believe that's his name) on the highest difficulty.

I'm going through ME 2 on Insanity, and there's a side mission where you land, run to the end, activate a beacon, and run back with what seems like an infinite amount of Mechs that come at you. I went so slow eventually they ran out of patience with me, because if I tried to move forward at all, I'd immediately die.

"Screw it, we aren't spawning anymore mechs. It's a waste of our time."

It took me an hour to get through a basic side mission.
stole mine. so, they eventually DO go away? good to know...this was the point at which i'd stopped because i was getting too frustrated.
I don't know if they completely go away, but there are certain points where the game considers you "safe" and any dead partners respawn. At that point, you can usually move up a little bit, and repeat the process. Once I got close enough to the shuttle, I just ran. But like I said, I think the game reaches a point where it gets tired of spawning them, allowing advancement.

Well it would have been impossible if he would have had any real amount of health in that fight.Fucking super damage light/ray ball that hard to doge with his minion stuck to you.
