I for one think religion is amazing, to be able to believe that I will end up in a world of bliss if I adhere to certain rules in this world would be something that I wish I really do wish that I could believe but I cant it just doesn?t make sense to me :( but their is one really bad thing about religion and that is that the people "in charge" of the religious beliefs always wage war on anyone with a different belief its their choose people believe what they are able to believe and want to believe I think that everyone is to blame for religious badmouthing this encourages religious people to be outspoken anywhere not just Xbox-live e.g. in a city a Buddhist is meditating causing a passing Jewish person to tell the Buddhists that they are wrong and that karma doesn?t exist and he?s a fool. Indeed the root of our problems here is discrimination.

Considering the phrase "Oh my God" doesn't really hold the same religious meaning it once did, responding with "There is no God" would strike me as trolling.

Being a PC gamer (the most refined online community in existence) I don't encounter this problem that much. When I do it is usually from griefers or very young (12 year olds) gamers. I think this behavior stems from the fact that on the internet, no one knows who you are, therefore you are able to act without any physical consequence.

I likewise find PSN and the majority of PC gaming (except blizzard games for some reason) to have much more well behaved denizens.
More people the more retards you find.
As a great man once said "a person is smart, people are dumb."

I hate that the whole community of xbox LIVE (AKA the pinnacle of dumbassery) Always is about ten percent of a new kind of snot-nosed nerd using the internet as their iron sheild. I'd like to bring up the subject of the Anti-religion gamer. Now note how I didn't say athiest, because i don't hate them, it's the ones who fish in the verbal lakes of LIVE for ways to talk down to anyone who has a religion.

EXAMPLE:

Gamer 1: "Oh my God! These guys are really good!"

Anti-religion gamer: "theres no such thing as God you idiot."

Now I'm not sure why they do this unprevoked, but it also happens on the forums. Do they do it because they are self-conscious? Or maybe just to troll?
And I hate people like you who think that the WHOLE community are like those douchebags, me and plenty of other XBL players are damn civil and just want to have a good time.

I kid I don't hate you, but you do come off as a major douch for saying the whole community of XBL.

This is why I rarely play Xbox Live anymore unless I'm playing with friends.

For some reason Microsoft thought it would be a good idea to give everyone a headset.

morons...
So Microsoft should be like Sony and yank more money out of our wallets by forcing us to buy the headset separately?

As much as I hate the annoying mic spammers I'm grateful everyone on XBL at least has access to a mic so they are not left silent like me and my friends were on PSN.

I never had to buy a seperate headset for my PS3.
I just used the USB headset I had for my computer.

Plus, Microsofts headsets are pieces of crap. I've been through 4 headsets. And thats not counting the origional xbox's. They seem to break down for no reason at all. Except once when I accidently stepped on one... but the rest just broke when I didn't do crap.

Sony doesn't get any money when you buy a headset for the PS3, since it uses 3rd party headsets, like Bluetooth or, as I said, a usb headset.

I know not everyone is in the same postion and all that, but thats just my position on the matter.

I can only speak for myself, but yes. Yes they should. The less people have mics the less stupid is out there.

That being said, however, I have never plugged my mic into my 360 controller and have only played a game on live probably 5 times total. If I have interest in talking to friends while gaming I just call them.

This is basically me but im not a confrontational person, alas if im pissed off at something that can change, and i can and will become aggressive about my own thoughts and opinions and i do tend to bag people about religion if they get all high and mighty about it or if im already in a word war with someone.

I, personally don't see the point in religion but this is my own opinion and i think that everyone should be able to say what they want regardless if its over XBL, PSN or whatever.

People will always enjoy hiding behind a mask of anonymity, don't let it get to you. I'm a deistic christian, but I know that others will believe differently, and I respect it. It is always annoying for someone to attempt to impose their ideals on you, religious, atheistic, or otherwise.

If it's NOT Trolling (likely though), then he's an idiot who deserves Punishment *evil laugh*

I was in the checkout line of the grocery store a while back, and a total stranger walked up to me, put his hand on my shoulder, and started praying for God to heal my legs (I walk with a cane.) The people you're talking about are just as intrusive, annoying, and off-putting as that. This is coming from a man whose role models are Carl Sagan and Richard Dawkins.

No offense to the under-twenties in the room, but I blame teenage arrogance. Everyone goes through a phase where they just know they've got everything figured out, and anyone with a differing idea is a blithering moron. Most of us grow out of it.

Normally, they're prepubescent little kids trolling to make them selves feel big, I use a line that almost always shuts them up and that line is "Ha ha, is that seriously your voice?"
Gets 'em everytime...
