"I don't really see the point when we have coathangers like these hanging around." George tapped on his PAD a few times. A single klaxon droned in the room, heralding a large sentry device to drop out of the ceiling, armed with four large barrels, humming in a pleasantly ominous drone. He tapped the screen again, making it retreat back into its nacelle.
"George Ferdinand, call me George. You security detail?"

After Vince went to his safe house and picked up the last of his gear we found the ship. Several members of the crew seemed to have found their way to it first. He then fount the most secluded room available and started to set up shop.

His room only needed a bed, one chair and a table. He quickly set up his tools, guns, and poisons. Leaving a pile of clothes and weapon related items on his bed he walked around the ship looking for the best defensive areas and best areas to hide. While looking for the hiding spots on the ship Vince routinely mumbled to himself, "I am but a shadow, nothing can harm a shadow for they can never see it. I am a shadow, shadows have no emotion, they are simply darkness."

As Vince was moving through every room of the ship he was sure he would meet the other crew members. When he did he would just give them his normal introduction. "Hello the name is Vince and I am your public relations man. Whenever we have problems with people having issues with our goal I adjust their opinion so that there is no problem, one way or another.

Shanks woke up from the floor of the ship, sober, but with a splitting headache/hangover. He checked out his surroundings. So this is the ship? He thought. It was a lot bigger than he had expected it to be. But it wasn't wildly different than any ships he had flown before, so he climbed up to the gun placements. There was already a few deactivated guns already there, they were all Shipman 15 calibre machine guns. 200 rounds of explosive ammo a minute, perfect for space combat. These would do nicely. But to shanks, doing nicely isn't good enough. He knew he could easily get the firing rate up to 300. So he set out to work.

"Security detail, yes, that fits. Name's Agustin, and it is always good to prepare for anything. In fact, wouldn't it be wise to prepare at least a secret weapons stash behind all that booze?"

'You saying I'm a drunk? You know, I was in the slammer for the last ten years o' my life, and I think I could take some dirty mercenary!'
Shanks pulled out his gun. It still had the safety on, but Agustin wouldn't know that...

'I don't think you're listening, boy.' Shanks unclipped the safety and fired a warning shot into the air.
'Don't go ignoring me. It could prove deadly.'

"Yes, i think I remembering something about the coathangers being deadly or something..."

Agustin turns to Shanks.
"Any drunk with a gun could prove deadly, but not many can prove useful. I am one of the useful ones, as I trust you are, let's not kill each other just yet, alright? we have a job to do."

Vince walked into a room and saw the drunk man arguing with a man that must have been a merc. "Firing off our gun inside the ship are we?" Vince eyed the man, "well at least we know where the first battle scar is on this ship".

"What shall we call this fight?" Vince looked thoughtful for a moment, "perhaps battle of booze pass?". Vince then leaned back against the wall and watched for any sign of a threat from the drunk man.

"Nice to see you have a sense of humor, I assume you also have a name?" Vince was clearly enjoying himself, not even trying to hide his grin, "I would be Vince, I am not the pilot, I simply kill and steal." Vince then gestured in the direction of the cockpit, "If you want to know when we take off perhaps you should ask the person who pushes the on button?"

"With my luck it will be the drunk man with the gun, but I have not met anyone who claimed to be our pilot yet."

Joke stands up and gives a quick glance into his lab. He sees that everything is in order, and that the current batch of Xavier's Myst is brewing properly. He then exits the lab, locks the door, and turns on the security system for the room. He then walks out into the main commons and finds everyone getting along nicely, at least semi-nicely. Joke overhears the talk about the pilot and replies, "The drunk's not the pilot. I don't even think he could. Our pilot is the former Lieutenant Merutio Piaforte, probably a better pilot than anyone on this ship. If you were paying attention two of you at least met him at the restraunt." Turning to Shanks, Joke also says, "and put that gun away before I do something to it."

Merutio stopped the plasma welder and looked around at the sudden gunshot. Seeing nothing, he shrugged and got back to exposing the antiquated Nipponese navigation mainframe. Once a section of the rusted hull had been cut away, he pulled out a portable interface and plugged it into the I/O router. At once, an anthropomorphic frog's face appeared on the screen and began talking in Nipponese.
"Kon'nichiwa shinsetsu yūzā. Watashi wa ōku no kōfuku to sūpāfuraito-sen de hāmonī no hōpu-"
Merutio shook the screen and replied "Anglish, I speak Anglish!" The screen flickered and the frog was replaced by a similarly cartoonish cat that spoke Anglish with a Nipponese accent. "Welcome to our Juko-class happy fleighter. If this is the flirst time you have booted the mainframe, please se[sub]rect either[/sub]..." and petered off as the core lost power. All over the ship, lights went off and red emergency illumination flickered on as Merutio scrambled down the flank of the ship to connect the ship to the hangar's power supplies.

Running across the hangar, Merutio reached the circuit breaker for the ship's docking feed and switched it on. The ship whirred and lights came back on, indicating that the ship was once again operational.

Could I just point out that we have established fluff for space combat? The Arm uses EMR tunnels, not bullets.

Now that he had set up the guns, for close combat battles and boardings attempts on other ships, Shanks walked upstairs to set up the EMR tunnel. Suddenly all the lights on the ship went out and the red emergency ones turned on. 'God dammit! Don't we hire people to stop this happening?' As if on cue the lights went on again, a the steady hum in the background started up again. He started walking towards the EMR tunnel again. It was in shambles. It would take hours to fix this, if at all. But, it was his job to do so, so shanks went to work.

Close quarter combat in space is almost unheard of in space. Most stuff is done at a range of 500-700km - too far for any accuracy with bullets. The EMR tunnel concept gets around this lag by having the weapon fire efficient shockwaves at high speed, taking away compensating for distance lag and sudden movement.
Guns are for people.

OOC- NimbleJack3 I meant for when ships were boarded, eg. In an attempt to hijack them.
