When i saw District 9, it was awesome. It was last movie me and my friends watched together before we headed off to college (we didnt all go to the same one :/) there were no annoying groups of people. Just well manered movie goers. Laughed, cheered, gasped etc etc when they were supposed too.

Best movie was either Avatar in 3D or The Dark Knight or something like that, but best time I ever had in a theater was with a group of friends.

It was an all-night movie thing, so we watched like four movies in the space of an entire night. There was three of us and like two other people in the theater, and Dragonball Evolution was so boring that we ended throwing pieices of popcorn and candy at the screen. The other people didn't mind it. Good times.

Bad movie, but good times.

Easily the best thing that's ever happened to me in a Movie Theater; was when me and my buddies were stoned as hell - and we just tokes some Salvia too! We went and saw Zombieland!

It was only 5 minutes into the movie (Before the main characters are even introduced, LMFAO) when I fell asleep - My buddies woke me up at the end of the movie.

Good Times, Good Times.

Small list with explanations:

Grindhouse: The experience was better than the sum of its parts. Plus that was a film to enjoy with a crowd, many of whom were stoned.
PotC: Black Pearl: I saw that with my family. That was an incredible movie made all the better by the fact that my dad and brother were there.
Underworld: The movie's not so good now but my friends and I loved it when we saw it.

Sitting through "What Women Want" (mediocre) with a friend that I adored. When she help my hand I had a perfect hour of feeling like everything was well in the world.

When I went to see The Spy Next Door, my friends and I were the only people in the theater so we could make fun of the movie as loud as we wanted.
Same here but I watched Sorority Row. It was pretty pants.

I was half expecting stories of sex and drugs being enjoyed under the noses of theater workers, but I guess people are more decent than I thought. Fancy that.
This one time I could smell the "scent" of a girl a row in front of me who's boyfriend was "poking around" with her.

Phew.

Good thing I didn't bring a date to that one.
There goes the decency :p That sounds like an absolutely horrible Theater experience.

D'aww! That's adorable...

Anyways, my best experience lately was going to see avatar with a few of my friends when it just came out, so none of us really knew about it that much. Frickin' awesome that was, and we made stupid jokes about it for about an hour or 2 after, and I had a ridiculously big grin on my face the entire time. That movie is like injecting sugar right into your bloodstream...

Well, it was in 3D, made the audience go "oooh" and "ahhhh" a lot and rhymes with Schmavatar.

The reclining chairs...I couldn't care less about Wolverine, I was just spending two hours sipping Pepsi in a big ol' comfy-ass chair.
There there gramps, Hope the FlashyMovingLightsAndSounds don't wake ya'.

On topic, I think I may have seen The empire strikes back (remastered) when I was 10. Either that or I imagined the whole thing. But if I did see it, It was awesome.
Avatar was pretty good, But seeing something when you are 18, and when you are 10... One just affects you more.

As I now add to the legions of people who have the same pretty much story
No question 'the Crow' because it wasn't actually that popular a movie when it came out and it was a pretty sparse theatre.... that was the first time I got to... I believe the term is '2nd base'... hooray for chauvenistic memories!
Yes, I'm aware the crow came out in like 1994 or so. I am in fact old enough for this to be completely appropriate.

Dude you are so awesome for being able to have a good time drinking a five dollar pepsi in a chair that has god knows how many bodily fluids in it after paying 10-12 bucks to see an undoubtedly horrible piece of shit movie.

I'm not being sarcastic at all, that would've ruined my day if I had done it.

Props dude.

OT: Trippin' balls at Shutter Island. I actually felt like I was losing my sanity. Maybe I actually did.

Ah, see, I did not fully express why this was my best experience:
This movie theater was new, the tickets were only £6, the drink and popcorn was only £4, so everything was crazy-ass cheap, plus this screen had only been opened for the first time 5 minutes before our viewing,so the chairs were still padded and not broken in and everything smelt fresh. There was no sticky floor, no crackly speakers, no creaky curtain reveal for the film and it has as close to a HD viewing as you can get on such a large screen. Also, because it was during time off, there were no annoying kids...

THAT is why it was awesome.
