I enjoyed oblivion but all the single playering got old, it was best when you were leading a squad against large numbers of enemies, eg: Kvatch etc

Oblivion NEEDS WARS! imagine a huge siege on a fortress with 30+ units on each side (+ limited spawning) where you can attack it or defend it eg: by operating a catapult to damage the structure (scenery destruction) before ordering a charge into the breach or getting a bow and firing through arrow slits to whittle away the attackers or pouring boiling oil down onto the enemy and depending on who wins each war the storyline branches off differently. I know that so many units would take a lot of processing power but it would be worth it, imagine leading an army to reclaim the collapsing province of Tamriel, IT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!

1.The ability to ride more than just a horse. Imagine going into battle on a dragon or a troll
2.People have said this but to be able to be evil. The thieves and assasins guilds were fun but we ned more options than that

That sounds good enough to be a game on its own

Firstly, more than 4 types of dungeon.
More/better voice actors.
More choice.
Better graphics.
More variety in locations.
Stat system was alright, but more variety would be good.

I'd love to see more variation in weapons, both from a skill(s) sense and an actual weapon type.
How they could categorise melee weapons into bladed or blunt is beyond me.
Some form of online/lan co-op would be great, if it could be implemented well.

Just more variety in general. Including voice actors.

Uterfrykte (I am NOT checking if that's spelt right) Matron is just an invisible generic (albeit harder) troll! Lazy!

What I didn't like in Oblivion was all the damn load screens. They were kinda fast, but there were so many. Hopefully when we're all playing the PlayboxWii540 in a few years consoles and PC's will be strong enough that we can just walk into buildings and locations without a load screen (A la GTA4).

Also, More memorable characters. The only really great character was Sheogorath in the expansion. More NPC's like him would be fun, as well as more voice actors, no/low amounts dialouge sharing.

I'd like to find some happy middle-ground between Morrowind and Oblivion. Bring back skills like Short Blade and Unarmored, the number of skills in Oblivion is just patronizing.

Oh, and set it in Valenwood.
Seconded.

Wouldn't mind the removal of Fast Travel, if they'd put in Mark/Recall again, and other conventional fast-travel alternatives re-appear (think Silt Striders)

Furthermore, the game would need more environmental variety. Compared to Morrowind's 'dark' world with many different landscapes, Oblivion was just a fairy tale bloomfest.

I know this isn't SUCH a big deal but
If my character goes around the world becomes the leader of each and every single guild and then saves the world from impending doom i would like NPCs to act a TINY bit differently. Maybe be less hesitant to attack me if i was weilding a massive ebony hammer which turns people into piles of dust. But no instead they want to talk about mud crabs.

Also when i got a statue in Oblivion can we get it somewhere were everyone can see it not in the northern side of a town noone ever goes to. I mean c'mon..

Oh! And also a more interesting combat system which isn't just whacking them with a sword until they suddenly fall down because of a sudden heart attack maybe something like in Dark Messiah: Might and magic that was a sweet ass combat system.

One thing i noticed was that when i was playing Morrowind, the Marksman skill wasn't just set to bows, but it was also used in throwing knives & stars, and also crossbows. This sort of thing would be a great addition to a new TES game, so long as they get the physics right. i hated in Morrowind how i would shoot directly at a Cliff Racer, and my arrow would skew off at a random angle as if it had hit something.

Bring back levitation, or at least the jump spell, coz i loved using a really powerful one i made to fly around the map.

Possibly some kind of new race, like i said earlier, or the ability to play as a Daedra. know this wouldn't make much sense, but maybe if you summoned one you could control it for a while.

Bring back werewolves, but only if the NPCs don't try to kill you if they see you transform. or something like that.

Make the jumping more realistic. on both Morrowind and Oblivion, whenever you jump in third person mode, your person just sort of squats down and goes up in the air.

Lastly, maybe NPC relationships, like in Fable where you could go up to someone and just give them stuff, then propose. Maybe even just friends who live in your house and help you out at times.

Dragons. It's generic fantasy but dammit I want to see a real dragon in TES. M'qiad talks about them, Akatosh is a dragon god and there's statues of Dragons scattered around the games so I know they exist.
They're all extinct, Jim.

Sorry.

Oblivion, IMO, was the worst of the series, and there's good reason for it. It was terribly linear, incredibly repetitive in just about every aspect, from the guilds, to the NPCs, to the multitude of stupid gates you had to close right down to the dungeons themselves that were all the damn same.

The armor, weapons and spells were uninspired, the Horse travel/combat was infuriating (they should take a lesson from the Mount & Blade devs). And for a TES game, it was small. Not as tiny as Morrowind, but no where near the size of Daggerfall.

So, here's my wish list, and I'll mostly avoid saying 'more of everything'.

Fast travel is fine as long as you've been there before. Travel between larger cities possible via boats/siltstriders (or something fitting of the area).

Much more varied and randomized dungeons spread out over a substantially larger land mass. I'll go so far as to say randomized terrain is OK as long as it's populated with "things".

A main story line that doesn't start until much further into the game. Like a dozen hours or so.

Better spell crafting.

No level scaling!!!!

Better Horse combat (again, see Mount & Blade)

Far more character classes/specializations.

No stupid mini games.

And finally, make it somewhat challenging. Oblivion was childishly easy. If Daggerfall was chess, Morrowind was checkers. That makes Oblivion 'Knivesy-Spoonsy'. There was no challenge at all. And once you opened up those stupid gates, it just made things even more frustrating.

I pretty much wanted to avoid the main quest because it was so damn short. And even then it took little time to finish all the guild quests.

I hated it when if you killed someone in there home then a guard would suddenly appear and know what you have done and try to kill you. On the next one they should only go after you if thay see you do it

Methinks most of these will go into their (hopefully) next "M'aic the Liar" FAQ. Oh, how fun he was/is.
