Cortex began to wake up from his daze as the maggots finished up on his leg, it took far less time as his leg was much smaller.
He started to stir and try to get him on his feet, using his good leg for support.

As a small shrug came from Tomoya as he saw Cortex beginning to wake up. He decided to grab a bite to eat too and heard from Puse and Kurumu that they were going to a diner or something nearby. As Tomoya dragged his ass from the sandy beach, he hopped onto the Lightning cutter and went to the Cafe the others went to.

As he stopped out in front of the cafe he saw Puse's vehicle and another unknown car. He sighed as he was dying to get out of the heat. A slight jingle of the bell came from the door and Tomoya entered. He saw Puse and Kurumu sitting together with another unknown figure in a hood. Tomoya didn't care and sat on the edge of the bar as he ordered a pepsi and a burger. When is the next event and what will happen?

Caim gave a small nod of approval when he saw that Cortex had started to get up and about. Taking note of a present hunger that was starting to overtake the party; Caim held up a single finger and walked over to Angelus. From what Tomoya and Cortex could see, Caim seemed to be whispering in the dragon's ear and patting her nose. There was a nod from the dragon and she took off. About five minutes later; there was the sound of an explosion and the dragon returned with a shark in her claws.
With a smirk, Caim turned to the duo and typed,

"I take it your chefs will be able to work with that?"

However, his face fell when he saw that the two had disappeared. Upon asking the Angels where the group went; Caim scooped up Cadolbolg (with a promise to some sword training once lunch/dinner had been served), hopped aboard the dragon and flew to the cafe.

Dismounting from the dragon; Caim walked in and typed at the counter;

"I have brought a large fish for food. Could you prepare it?"

Caim waved to his allies as he waited for the servers to take him seriously.

Caim gave Puce a confused look,

"Dillon's starting to lose it..? Why am I not surprised..."

The group saw a yellow eye peek into the restaurant and heard a harsh laugh, "HA! What did I tell you? They will end the same way as the man I told you of, Puce."
Caim's face darkened, and typed,

"Inuart. His name was Inuart. And yes, he did go off the deep end because of his obsession with a woman... Do you think we will have to... [u]do something[/u] about Dillon?"

Angelus, after lapping up a bit of soup (which she found to be superb), she shared a similar confused expression as her pact partner did moments ago. Motioning Kurumu aside, and with a careful tone, she said,

"We are doing well enough. The same as usual; I think. Well, I suppose the victory has bolstered his mood; thus explaining his sudden charity."

Looking to Caim, Angelus watched as he took a deep slurp of his soup; finishing his bowl. He held up a hand, asking for seconds.
The dragon smiled, and attended to her soup as well for another moment.

"It is good to see him in this mood. It is not a common emotion I read from him especially outside of battle. It is... Relieving, to say the least."

Shave and a haircut, TWO SNIPS

The dragon nodded and took a great bite from her steak, her face taking one of euphoria for a moment. Following that, she spoke again,

"He has changed being in this group's company; that much I can tell. It has been slow, but I think it may be for the better. He still loves battle; he still enjoys the thrill of the kill... He even joined this tournament looking for a fight. But I have not asked him what he would want. We do keep a bit of privacy between us, after all. I do not read his mind and he does not read mine. The only thing that is not private are the emotions we experience."

The dragon took another bite of the steak,

"I have pondered what he might want; but given the manner Calypso presents himself, and some things I have seen, I am afraid of what would happen if those wishes were granted. He could want the return of his homeland; but that may be returned in the hell we left; and thus be moot. Or he could wish for the family he had lost to the Empire. Again, this could be twisted in a manner of ways. With the world we left behind, I do not know if Caim even wants anything from that hell-hole anymore.

Thus, this brings me to the conclusion that he only wants to win for the sake of winning; or to have the most satisfactory fight imaginable. But enough of my ramblings. What would you want, Kurumu? I know not of what you allude to, and I will admit to being curious about the thoughts of a Succubus."

Cortex walks in with a makeshift Cast on his leg from the remains of his mech.
He waddled into a seat next to the group and said "Sorry I'm late, Those Painkillers really overwhelmed me..." Before checking the menu.

The dragon took a moment to finish her steak, and then spoke to Kurumu once more; her voice softened with pity,

"Humans are burdened with those emotions. That is the price they pay for being human. Take that away, and Puce would not be himself. As his mate, you must strive to help him confront them and learn to work and understand them. Especially if he loathe to face them himself.

She paused for another moment, and said,

As for hope, you are correct. Hope, as foolish as it is, I will admit to being a good thing to have. We all need it to carry on in this death match. Best of luck to you, Succubus."

Cortex decided to have a Chicken Fillet Roll with a serving of Sausage Rolls.
"Tis a strange place to find hope, I mean, you all saw the size of that thing. That is proof that the Man in Charge has all sorts of power and wealth. He might actually be able to grant anything we want..."
He handed up his menu and finished "All it takes is a few kills..."

Cortex stared at the newcomer, something that appeared to be a large Humanoid Cat.
"Ummmm...Hello?...Someone mind filling me in here?..." He asked the group as Taokaka rubbed against Angelus.
Several Ideas formed in Cortex's mind for Elite Kitty Assassins with laser beams attached to their heads.
"Mmmm...Where is Chrysalis, Anyone?..." He asked only to be greeted with glances from everyone.
"What?..."

"Once I beat her up, chop her into a stew- then eat her right up, I am going to drag her to my village and get lots of money!! .. Nyeu.. second though, she looks really nasty. I'll just toss her into the trash instead...."

Cortex was taken off guard by this, Chrysalis was being hunted? By Whom? It must've been someone from her past for sure.
Not today, Kitty Cat...
"Oh...I was referiiinnnnggg tttoooooooo....Ray Bradbury's Chrysalis. It was a movie on last night. Sorry, I haven't seen the person...or thing in that Poster." Cortex answered after struggling to remember the name of that film.
"Sorry, just does this place have a Phone? I need to call Kagome..." He asked the group.

Potty Humour

"Hehe...Uhhh...Yeah, lets go with that..." Cortex said as he took the phone as his food came to his table.
"I'll be right back, No picking at my food." He foolishly said as it was gone before he even left the building.
Going around to the back of the building, He called Kagome's car phone and awaited an answer.
"Come on Queen...Pick up..." He said nervously as he checked behind him for any unwanted spies.

"Hello? Who is this?"[/color] She awaited for a reply.

"Queen, It's Cortex, Where are you? There is a bounty hunter here looking for you. The contract is public. Every two-bit hitman in the country is after you!" Cortex said, as a former FBI Most Wanted List Entry, He knew a thing or two about avoiding hit squads.

"But wait, Who put up the...Bounty?..." Cortex asked the hang up tone before hanging up himself.
He stood outside in silence for a moment before sighing and returning back inside.
With a disappointed look on his face, he slid back into his chair and watched as that Cat ate his order.
Picking up the menu he repeated his order to the waiter before staring at the Cat hunter with disdain.
His spirits were lifted once he thought about how painful turning her into a mindless slave would be.

As Tomoya waited for the waiter or waitress to come to him, he looked around and still saw Cortex by himself except on the phone and Puse and Kurumu talking to the unknown cat lady that was sitting next to them and eating all of their food. A soft sigh which both parties can hear flowed through the diner as the waitress noticed him.

The waitress came over, "Hello hun, here is your order." She answered in a very American way. "Thanks." Tomoya said softly as he pulled out his wallet and poured out a 10 American bill and put it on the counter which the lady got. He then preceded to drink his Pepsi and start on his burger. After not being bothered any longer, Tomoya turned to Puse, "Hey Puse I didn't notice you and Kurumu here...also Cortex is just there..." Tomoya said as he turned around to Cortex, "Hi Cortex!" He yelled out before returning to Puse and such. "I also see a lovely lady here, may I be introduced?" Tomoya said smoothly to Puse, Kurumu and the unknown lady (Tao).

To Tomoya's surprise Dillon literally appeared in a seat nearby, there wasn't a flash or anything just one moment nothing next Dillon, and he was in his normal clothes the ring was still on his finger but the costume was gone.
"Hey guys what I miss?"

"Likewise, Bounty Hunter, You have a name? a address? Any personal relations in a nearby area?" Cortex followed up, keen to get his Kitty Assassins with Laser Beams attached to their heads.
As he waited for an answer, His order soon came back up and he worked hard to ensure that this time, he was the one eating it.

Then Dillon Showed up.
"JESUS! Where the hell did you come from?!" He choked at his strange teleportation

"Well Drivers of The Rising Dawn, there is just one obstacle left between you and what your prize. I hope you can make it Dillon, I would just love a happy ending to all of this".

"The Final Event will be in New York, in your own time".

Dillon did some math counting off the seconds, including the ones he took doing this, he happened to ignore Calypso as if the man who was clearly Satan wasn't hi biggest concern right now.
"About 5 seconds ago, I was putting that unicorn in a safe spot on Zamaron so it won't be damaged until I need it again, also I went to see my kid little Riolu is doing well, it's a shame I might miss her if I don't get that wish, but that's not important right now. besides I shouldn't be using my kid to make someone feel guilty into winning a race that's something Chrysalis would have done, speaking of er have you seen that bug? I intend to squash her."
The others stared, Dillon usually would talk for long periods of time but he was a bit more, well crazier than usual, and not in the psychotic id manner though it was similar.

Cortex merely glared at Dillon after he said that.
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that..." He said with pure malice to his voice.
Then, Calypso called them over the Diner Radio, much to the confusion of everyone in it.
"Great...Time to nearly die again..." He groaned before finishing his meal and leaving to repair his Mech.
