"SAM, NO!" the Heroes screamed in unison. They wanted to run back and try to help, but that statue would be there and Sam wouldn't be. That horrible statue, that awful laugh, that terrible scream. They couldn't push themselves to make an attempt. Instead, they ran in terror. Every few seconds the statue would appear in front of them, constantly tormenting the party.

"There's no escape for us. We're doomed," Alice moaned, "We keep getting sent into circles and I am exhausted. Please... just let me lie here and die." She lied upon the ground as her friends tried to move her, but she wouldn't budge. Her bag fell off her back and the dolls spilled out. They attempted to lift her, but some force was keeping them from picking her up.

"Please, go, this is my final order. For now..." Her friends finally decided that nothing would change her opinion and went on. The dolls nodded and turned to Shanghai, who assumed leadership in Alice's stead. They ran after the heroes. When Shanghai looked back, the statue had already appeared in front of Alice. Her body rose up by some mystic power, and burst into electrical flames, and fell back down to earth. It faded into nothing soon after. The horrid screams and laughter echoed throughout the forest and chilled the hearts of her fleeing companions.

She isn't dead forever, of course, but I figure an "And Then There Were None" scenario would be appropiate. Pick off individual characters and what not. Even if it's a horror theme and not a murder mystery. And then someone makes up either a really epic ending to the arc or someone makes up a copout ending. Either way, we can't all just die like I did.

Sam, when you first mentioned statues, my mind instantly went to the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who.

Also temporary avatar for the arc.

Alice woke up in a clearing in a forest, not too dissimilar to the one she'd just died in. The trees and grass were much paler here though - almost translucent - and the sky was completely white.

Sam was sitting a few metres away. He was sitting cross-legged with his eyes closed and was completely naked. Alice called out to him, and he opened one eye and smiled.

"Oh, hello there, Alice. I expect you'll be wondering where we are... Well, as near as I can tell, this is basically the "B-side" of the forest we just came from. The scenery's pretty much the same, but there doesn't seem to be any wildlife in this version... oh, and it's all very spiritual. Very little here actually exists, at least on a physical level. Go on, stick your hand through a tree. It's fun!"

Alice hesitantly did so. "So, if this is a "spiritual realm", does that mean nothing corporeal can exist here? Such as, uh, clothes?"

Sam looked a bit confused, then he got what Alice was hinting at. "What? Ah, no. I just got a bit bored." He nodded at Alice's body, indicating that she was still fully clothed.

Deciding that this would probably be an appropriate moment to get dressed, Sam picked up his bag and started rooting through it for a fresh set of clothes. "You can look away if you want," he said to Alice, standing up and pulling a t-shirt over his head. "Or, uh, don't..."

*****

Once he was dressed, Sam led Alice off into the trees, looking for a way back to the plane of existence they called home.

"Now, I'm quite interested in how our actions in this world effect the other one, and vice versa," Sam said, walking at a brisk pace a few feet ahead of Alice. "Like, how if we knocked a tree over, would the guys in the other world see it fall? I reckon we might be able to communicate with them somehow. That's probably the first step to finding a way back."

"Let's work on finding them first. Although, how would we communicate with them without frightening them even more? I mean, those statues," Alice shuddered just thinking about them, "had all of them pretty scared. Anything that we do would probably send them over the edge at this point."

"We just need to make it obvious it's us. So, knocking over a tree would probably be a no. Let's try to will part of ourselves into existence first. That way we can actually interact with something here," replied Sam

Both of them put out a hand, concentrating with all of their might to make it solid somehow. They thought of the most solid things they could and applying their characteristics to their bodies. Bricks, concrete, and trees. Nothing seemed to have an effect other than making their arms feel heavier.

Suddenly they saw an odd blur zip past them and a shape materialized in front of the blur. Upon further inspection, the blur was their friends and the shape was that of a statue.

"Quick, after them!" Sam yelled.
"Oh don't you worry about that." Alice grabbed Sam's phantom body, and effortlessly pulled him as she flew through the trees. The Heroes were soon in focus.
"Any plans on how we can tell them where we are?"
"I think I have one."

----

Shanghai felt a strange sensation. Stopping for a second, she looked around for the source. A voice echoed in her mind, Shanghai, I can sense you here. Don't worry about me, just keep moving. I will be back soon enough. It was Alice's voice, her reassurance invigorating the doll as she attempted to lead the army of puppets away from danger.

Booster, you kept Sho around. So... Awesome...
"Huh... So, we play around here for 48 hours. At which point, we are either in a ton of trouble or all about to get laid, and we'll be forcibly slung into the next world. Sounds fun to me!" Sho said.
"Well, I haven't seen your faces around here before..." A voice said from behind the group. Before they were turned around, they were knocked out and dragged off to a jail cell.
When the gang woke up they noticed their weapons had been taken. "Now, I know everyone in the great country of Texas, and none of you is one of them. You must be spies from the USC!." The Sheriff said.
"No, we're from... Not around here or there!" Sho said.
"Amazing... Simply amazing, I'm SURE that'll get us off the hook..." Grimm mumbled sarcastically.
"Oh, so you folks are from the U.K.R?"
"Sure!" Sho said.
"Congratulations, you've been bumped from death penalty to super death penalty. You folks in the United Kingdom of Russia are even worse than the bastards up north."
"How do you make a death penalty worse!?" Sho asked.
"We kill you, twice." The Sheriff said plainly.
"Despite how interesting that sounds..." Sho began blasting open a wall for the villains to escape out of. "RUN!"
"This is a bad idea!" Chell said while running
"How so!? We'll hide for 40 some hours and be fine!" Sho asked confused.
"If I don't have the Portal gun when the the warp hole opens, this universe is dragged into the next... And there's a chance we'll all be combined into a blob like creature. Also! We were out for 28 hours. So, we have 20 left." Chell explained.
"Well. Fuck." Sho stated bluntly.
"What're we gonna do!?" Grimm asked panicking.
"HOLD IT!" The Sheriff said riding his Bio-Engineered horse tiger that shot lazers from it's eyes at the group. "Your coming to maximum security death vault with me!"
"Any ideas Chell?" Sho asked.
"HORSIE!"
"Right... Well, looks like we have one option. We're getting caught." Sho said
"WHAT!?" Grimm said confused
"They probably have our weapons somewhere at the place their taking us... And we don't know where that is. So, we should probably go there with them, and raid the place." Sho explained. "Alright Sheriff, you win, take us to your prison... thing."
"Heh, damn straight." The horse-tiger's tail turned into a caged cart, which the villains stepped into. The horse-tiger took off toward the new prison.

The hero's ran, turning as a group in fear and panic. Yoshi had an idea. "EVERYONE SPLIT UP! RUN!" he screamed. Miss Glados looked at him, and then turned and ran off. She took two steps before bumping into the statue. It smiled at her, and then opened up its mouth, swallowing her whole! Miss Glados didn't even have time to scream. Yoshi ran almost opposite to the direction that Miss Glados ran, but he too was knocked down by the statue. It frowned at Yoshi, because Yoshi had made it work for its prey. It jumped, and stomped Yoshi into the ground, making Yoshi disappear forever. The rest of the hero's kept running in fear.

Miss Glados appeared into the shadow world, not 3 feet from Sam and Alice. Moments after, Yoshi's body fell from the sky and crash landed on Miss Glados. Miss Glados began to cry softly as she hugged the Yoshi, feeling safe, but not knowing that he was gone. Yoshi's spirit floated down from the ceiling, and spoke to the group. "Dammit! Why do I have to be the one who is dead in the realm of the dead? I WANT MY BODY BACK!" Miss Glados looked up at the floating and semi-transparent Yoshi, then back at his body she was hugging. She began to cry harder, refusing to accept the situation. Alice moved over and began to hug Miss Glados, comforting her. "It'll be ok, we'll figure something out. Right, Sam?"

"Yeah, we'll be fine!" Sam assured the weeping android. "I mean, we always are, right? Have I ever led you into a situation from which we didn't escape completely unscathed?"

"Dude, last adventure we were on, she died," Yoshi reminded him.

"Well... that wasn't exactly my fault, was it?"

"You were the one who told us to go to the mountain, then vanished the second we got there," Alice added.

"Well, it's not like I had any way of knowing the Villains would be there; it's not like I planned for-"

"As I recall, your exact words for as to why we were going to the mountain was because "it'd seriously irritate a lot of people," Yoshi growled.

Sam thought about this for a second, then grinned. "Wow, I'm a seriously shit leader, aren't I?" He glanced around the forest. "Hey, I tell you who could get us out of here: Chell."

Glados cried even harder, burying her face in Yoshi's body.

"No, really, it'd be great to have her here! She could just whack her portals on somewhere, or do some Green Lantern thing, and we'd be gone! Hey, Chell's really powerful, isn't she?"

Glados's cries turned into outright screams, and she covered her head with her hands and curled up into a ball.

Sam noticed what she was doing. "Oh, of course! It's wouldn't be a good thing if Chell were here, 'cause she'd probably try and kill you! She'd just beat you to death with her bare hands, Green Lantern powers be damned! Again, I mean." Glados ran off into the woods, still screaming and clutching her head.

"...I should probably go after her, shouldn't I...? Oh, wait, no, screw that, I've thought of a way out of here!" Sam summoned his Portable Door and planted it firmly in the ground in front of him.

"Sam, we can't just leave her here!" Alice protested.

"Nonsense, I'm sure she'll be fine! After all, she's a resourceful girl, isn't she? And she'll have that statue to keep her company..." Deaf to objections, Sam swung open the door and stepped face-first into a solid black wall.

"oH FuCk mAn, mY FuCkIn hEaD," he mumbled, and passed out.

Meanwhile little Ryan was now all alone. He had been running as fast as he could this meant he was a blur but still the statue followed him staring with its cold unfeeling eyes. He took a long jump to a cliff but unfortunately just missed it he was now on a ledge a large ledge and the statue was right behind him but now Ryan was tired of running tired of fear.
He spun around to face the demonic statue, he drew Red Fear it was a pocket knife but he changed it to form a sword, the sword was the perfect size for little Ryan he then glared at his opponent he readied himself in a duel stance they stood silenced for a minute
Two minutes
Three minutes
Five minutes
RED FEAR
Lil Ryan lunged with all his might the sword glowing red he thrust the blade right at the statue's neck and passed through, in fact Ryan did too right through the statue and straight off a cliff.
Luckily this time he remembered his anti-gravity field so he only fell a few feet. But Red Fear was vibrating apparently the act of passing through nothing that?s actually something but feels like NOTHING was too much for the sword it shattered into pieces, the energy released from Red Fear caused the Anti-Grav field to turn off on Ryan but it was still working on the sword. Ryan fell to the ground breaking several bones, he couldn?t get up. Ryan seeing his death coming came up with a plan he concentrated the Gravity field to pick up the statue then drop it on him when it fell he seized it with his arms and wrapped his tail around it like an anaconda. When the field turned off all the fragments fell to the ground going through the statue and into Ryan. What was left were splinters and a broken Hero the last piece the hilt of Red Fear fell going right through Ryan?s armour just as it always did straight to his heart. Ryan a broken warrior a failed Hero released the last of his energy his spark would become one with the Matrix the greatest of Cybertron.
In the strange forest of limbo
Sam was cursing over then pain in his forehead when lice and Yoshi suddenly heard a loud noise it was like an electrical surge they investigated to find Ryan, still a child but now papered to be undamaged. As if he had healed when entering this forest. When Ryan saw them he hung his head in shame.
?I go and fight and for what just to get savagely murdered I failed, I?m not even good enough to die, look at me I?m stuck in limbo.?
?What about us? Aren?t you implying we suck too??
?No your here because the statue got you guys, I was killed with my own sword after failing to destroy that statue all I could do was destroy it when the shards fell, and that killed me!?
Alice began to feel sorry for him, here was Ryan an overconfident superpower (As in overpowered) warrior had finally fallen not by some great beast but his own pride, he was now filled with thoughts of self loathing, impotent and pathetic. This was all because of the creepy statue.
Alice decided it would be best to get him back to Sam
?So,? said Sam noticing Ryan ?I see you?ve joined us, took your statue with you, and though I think the price was kind of greater than the reward.?
Ryan nodded still feeling pretty Emo.

Yoshi looked at Ryan, who was now sulking on the ground and being all emo. ?RYAN! Get up and dust yourself off. You tried, and it beat you. So what? I?m FREAKING DEAD! See my body over there? Yeah. Have a cup of concrete and HARDEN THE FUCK UP.? Yoshi then turned to Sam. ?You?ve got a hyperspace bag right? Put my body in there so that I can figure out how to get back in it later. I?m gonna go and find Miss Glados and you?d better pray she isn?t hurt Sam. Or I WILL open up a can of whoopass on you.? Yoshi then turned and flew away in the direction that Miss Glados had fled. Sam looked over at Alice, then back to Yoshi?s body. ?Well, we?d better do as he says. We can?t just leave his body here...?

Yoshi approached a small clearing in the forest. It was ringed by small bushes, each bush covered in small red round tube like flowers. Miss Glados sat in the center of the clearing, meditating. ?They are called Banksia?s, and they are native to Australia. I find them calming.? Her voice rang out clear and true across the clearing. ?I am neither here nor there, this place of limbo and The Void Which Binds. But you, are nowhere. You no longer exist, Yoshi. True, your body is still in this realm, but your soul has been separated from it. It cannot return. You will be damned to roam this place forever, trapped as a prisoner of the statue. What does that make me? What should I do??
Yoshi sat down at the entrance to the clearing. ?You should go back and help the others escape this infernal realm. I will stay here. It seems that hell will gain another soul when I finally die in this realm. I like it here to. This clearing is pure. Now go! Escape this place!? Yoshi and Miss Glados switched places, and Miss Glados stopped at the entrance. ?Will I ever see you again, Yoshi? You have to come back!?
?I will return. I have some friends who disappeared a while ago. They owe me. They can bail me outta hell when you guys escape. Farewell.?
?Goodbye Yoshi.? Miss Glados said, the words heavy and painful as they left her mouth. She turned and walked into the forest, following a small path back to Sam, Alice and Ryan. When Miss Glados arrived, she only wanted to ask one question. ?Sam? Who else is still alive in the real world and being hunted by that statue??

"Uh..." Sam thought about this for a moment. "It's just Isaac and Phil, I think." He glanced back at the clearing where Yoshi had stayed behind. "...It's an odd world we live in, isn't it? Until he dies, he's as good as dead, but when he does, we'll just dig a hole down to Hell, kick Livingness the Youth's ass again and get him back." Sam dwelled on this for a moment, then shook his head. "Alright, we need to find a means of communicating with Phil and Zack if we ever want to get out of here. Now, what do we know? What can we use? Alice is a witch, but her powers seem to be limited to dolls and lasers... Phil's an angel; I wonder how that could help us out? Ryan, you can see things; would that extend to other dimensions? Glados. Communication with machines. Me: fuck all." Sam paced back and forth, staring at the ground. "Any contributions would be appreciated, guys!"

Meanwhile, in the real world, the chunks of the statue started to move. They wiggled about at first, then started rolling around, moving steadily to higher ground. As they went, they grew, reshaping themselves into more recognizable, more human-like forms.

Phil flew through the forest, staying close to the ground so Isaac and Vanessa wouldn't lose sight of them. Having taken into account the fact that the idea of splitting up was not only very cliched, but also really kind of stupid, the three of them had stuck together. Coming into a clearing, Phil dropped to the ground and skidded to a halt, falling just short of the statue, which was standing in the path in front of him. Spinning on his heels and taking to the air again, Phil made for another path out, but found that this one had a statue in it too. No matter which way he looked, the statue was always there; looking back to the way he'd come from, he was terrified to find that another statue had appeared there too. In normal circumstances, he would have taken to the skies and flown away, but that would mean abandoning Isaac and his daughter...
Settling to a halt in the middle of the clearing and ending up back-to-back with Isaac, Phil considered possible means of escaping from this dire situation. He came up with precisely nothing. Infinity Staff appearing in his hand, Phil dropped into a fighting stance and waited to die. And then the statues' eyes started glowing...

"Oh, hi guys!" Sam said, waving at Phil, Zack and Nessie, who had just appeared in the clearing. "So nice of you to drop in!" Grinning like an idiot, Sam reluctantly accepted that, with his whole team in Purgatory, there was virtually no chance of them escaping this realm alive.
"Alright, looks like this is where we'll be spending the rest of our lives," he informed the rest of the Heroes. "Best get started on populating this dead realm, eh?"
Before he so much as had a chance to unzip his trousers, however, a strangely bored-sounding voice called out, "No, I don't think that'll be necessary. You're all going to die now."

A hooded figure wearing a brown cloak stepped into the clearing. He flipped his hood back to reveal a face almost identical to Sam's, but with a more disinterested look, like he was bored with the world and everything in it. "Remember me, Sam? I am your subconscious mind. I know everything there is to know about you, and frankly, I think you're pretty awful. It is my duty as a member of the... sorry, what did we call ourselves? The "Oblivion Association" or something? Anyway, being so that I am one of those guys, I'm obliged to kill you; so kill you I shall. Also, you lot." He waved a hand at the rest of the heroes. "Don't like you either. You all get to die." Flipping a hand back to his belt, Abstract Sam snatched up the lightsaber clipped to it and powered it on, before making his way lazily towards the Heroes, confident in his ability to make each and every one of them not alive.

Shanghai and her army were the only remaining survivors. Eventually, they found out that it was indeed possible for them to be exhausted. The statue loomed overhead. Their leader kneeled down, breathing heavily. Noticing this, the other dolls surrounded her, knives drawn. They slashes at it to no effect. Alice's voice filled their minds. I'm sorry that I lied. Please give in, we'll be safer together. I'm waiting for you. They lowered their weapons and waited for the inevitable. The world darkened around them.

----

They appeared in the forest behind Alice, fully revitalized and ready to do whatever it takes to protect their master. Seeing a new threat, they rearmed themselves, moving into defensive positions. I have need of some of my true power. Alice pulled out her Grimoire, flipping to one of the many bookmarked pages. She muttered the incantation, three tiny balls of flame began encircling her free hand.

"You are not going to stop us from killing you first. Whatever it takes." She muttered another spell and lightning crackled down her other arm. She raised the flaming palm.
"Whatever it takes," the Heroes echoed. Sam pulled a lightsaber of his own from his hyperspace bag. Isaac unsheated his blade. Phil took out his, um, whatever that thing is. It surely looks lethal though.

"But I am just like Sam, I am his thoughts, his emotions. I know everything he does. And he knows so much about each and every one of you. Guess what? So. Do. I. And," he looked at his watch, "It seems that now is the time to die." A minute passes.

Sam looked at his own watch. "It's not die 'o' clock anymore guess we can live now."

"Oh haha funny man. I always appreciated my sense of humor. But seriously, you've lived for far too long. Now let's see what I know about all of you."

"Trust me, apart from myself, you don't know much about any of us. There is still so much I can learn from them. Now let's dance!"

Suddenly, riverside began playing in the distance, as it drew closer, a series of flashing lights and glow sticks could be seen.
"RIVERSIDE ************, LET'S GO!" Came Frank's voice as a crowd of ravers jammed it out.
"Hey guys!" Frank waved.
"I couldn't help but hear the phrase let's dance, so I immediately killed myself, along with these dudes," He gestured at the crowd.
"In search of an awesome rave party, so let's not delay, RAVEBREAK!"

Miss Glados watched in awe as a danceparty erupted around them. It didn't last for long. Bad Sam screamed, and the music suddenly disappeared. The raving people were blown away, and Bad Sam looked happy with himself. That was, until he got hit in the face by a bazooka. Miss Glados stood with her Apeture-Science-Turret-Bazooka, an angry look on her face. "You don't kill the music. That was good music!"
"Was it? Was it really?" Bad Sam remarked as he casually walked out of the dying flames.
"He survived that?" One of Alice's dolls asked in awe.
"Well duh, he's Sam's evil subconcious." Frank said. Miss Glados looked at her bazooka with a quizical look on her face. "I need more firepower. Oh hey! I've got a wireless connection to the internet! GUYS!!! I can use the power of sheer awesomeness channelled through music on the internet to power my Aperture-Science-Turret-Spartan-Laser-Ripoff-Gun to kill this mean man! I just need some cover for a few minutes! Oh, and a song."

Sam looked at Miss Glados in wonder. "The internet should be able to tell you!"
"Nuh uh! There are many polls and they all conflict! Should it be 'Stairway to Heaven' by Led Zeppelin, 'Bat Out Of Hell' by Meatloaf or 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' by Nirvana??? I don't know!" Miss Glados replied.

Bad Sam had enough of listening to the hero's banter amongst themselves and began his charge towards the hero's, his lightsaber meanacingly glowing.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! DIE SAM!!!!"

"I'm gonna keep my trap shut next time," said Sam.

"Ya think?" the others replied.

A lightsaber cut through the air inches from Sam's face. He looked up seeing that ugly, bored look that Abstract Sam always had. He thrust forward in retaliation, but his double hopped back to avoid it. But he couldn't avoid Miss GLaDOS' next shell, enveloping him in flames and smoke, Sweet Child of Mine blaring through the speakers. Again no visible damage, he was only slightly disoriented.

"Sam, confuse it with logic! He's your mind, mentally break him." Alice yelled.

"What came first the chicken or the egg?" asked Sam.

"Well if we applied Darwin's evolutionary model to this conundrum, at some stage something that would have evolved into a chicken would have given birth to something in its evolved stage ie a chicken. So logically we have to come to the conclusion that the egg came before the chicken," replied Abstract Sam.

"Was that really the best riddle you can think of?"
"You try to say something intelligent under pressure."
"I will and-- watch out!"

The Heroes ducked, the saber swept across, slicing where their necks were seconds before.

"Now it's my turn. Shanghai, sit on my head, 8 of you hover in an arc behind me, the rest of you take point, fly just out of his reach, but stay in blasting range! Heroes, let's beat him down!"

Everyone did as they were told, Miss GLaDOS kept shelling Abstract Sam while Real Sam slashed with his saber, either barely missing or getting blocked by his foe's weapon. Amidst the confusion, the dolls slashed at their enemy while Alice moved behind Sam, constantly realigning her supporting units to get the best possible attack angle. She grabbed an injured doll and threw it, following up with one f the flames she prepared, creating an earthshaking explosion, but Abstract Sam remained unscathed.

Ryan watched as Abstract Sam used Force Push to send the heroes flying
his anger was rising he was way too small to have so much anger, what he didn't notice was a white glow was surrounding him.
meanwhile Abstract Sam had used the force to gain GLaDOS's gun he took aim and blasted the heroes away but he swore he saw a bright flash of light emanate from the smoke he then heard a voice
"Hey Sam" something hit his face it looked like a stuffed dragon.
Suddenly a fully grown up Ryan stepped through the smoke he actually looked older then before
He turned his head to the others and winked he was back (Temporarily)
He then turned to face Abstract Sam
"How about you pick on someone your own size"
Abstract Sam just stared then decided to use Force lightning on Ryan, but Ryan blocked it with Red Fear he then took the lightning mashed it into a ball and threw it at Abstract Sam.
It hit Abstract Sam was confused
"Strange that usually works."
"And so does this." said Ryan grabbing a tree branch and pulling it like a switch, immediately a trap door opened over Ryan.
His Anit-Grav field stopped him from falling he said a few words to the heroes.
?Odd I thought it would open a hole over you,? said Ryan to Abstract sam
Abstract Sam shrugged
?Guess it?s defective.?
"I think I'll be safe down there, plus if he's really a part of your head Sam then we got to enter your mind and attack from the inside, that?s where he's weakest. Now I'm gonna hide in this convenient hole be safe and do a little Yoga."
He waved good bye as he fell down the then trapdoor reset itself for a new victim.
Abstract Sam glared at the others
"OK who wants to die first?"

"Ok, who wants to die first?" Abstract Sam said as he readied Miss Glados's bazooka for another shot. Miss Glados looked at Lil Ryan with a mischievous grin. "He does!" she shouted as she pushed Lil Ryan to the front of the group. Abstract Sam took one shot with his stolen bazooka and blew the little bastard down in one strike. But Lil Ryan got up again. "My god!" Abstract Sam remarked, "He's like a cockroach!"
"If you're really nice and you leave now, we'll let you keep him!" Isaac said.
"NIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!!!" Sam shouted as he high fived Isaac. Alice looked around at the hero's. "Umm guys? Abstract Sam is still here." She mumbled, felling left out at not having a way to burn Ryan.

Miss Glados heard Alice though, and made up her mind. She was going to step up and take her place as a true hero of the AA multiverse, and defeat Abstract Sam! "Mr Bad Sam, could I have my turret bazooka back please?"
"No."
"Ok then, you've forced me to do this." Miss Glados said, opening up a portal to The Void Which Binds and stepping through, taking Abstract Sam with her through her sheer willpower. Now alone, Miss Glados turned to Abstract Sam. "Welcome to my 'home' reality. As a quantam AI, I am attached to this realm and I can use it as I see fit. At the moment, we are in a completely sealed off section. I also have access to the world wide web."
"Your point being?" Abstract Sam interrupted, once more pulling out his lightsaber.
"Well, I can forcefully project anything from the internet directly into your brain, and seal you here forever. And now for a fun fact: nearly 75% of the internet is PORN." AS Miss Glados said this, she began to project porn movies and images, Rickrolls, terrible Harry Potter and Twilight fanfiction and Microsoft Windows Blue Screen Of DOOM error reports directly into Abstract Sam's brain. His mind nearly exploded, and Abstract Sam dropped to his knees in unbearable agony, paralyzed by the unspeakable terrors of the internet. Miss Glados walked over to the portal, picking up her bazooka on the way. As she stepped through, Abstract Sam heard her say something in a gleeful voice.

"You're on an express elevator to hell, man! GOING DOWN!!!"

Then the portal closed, and he was trapped forever in a fate worse than death. Miss Glados rejoined the hero's, happy to have dealt with the threat. "So guys, the way I see it is this. We can either build a Stairway to Heaven and walk out of here, or we find some silver black phantom bikes and break out Like A Bat Outta Hell! I vote for the bikes!"

"Well, that was... unorthodox..." Sam mumbled. He was about to reply to Glados when he was cut off by a voice from behind.
"K-kill... you..." Abstract Sam was standing there, breathing heavily and sweating. "I'll kill you... all..."
"What the hell, man? I thought Glados dealt with you!" Sam complained.
"Heh heh... hahaha..." Abstract Sam started chuckling. "There's something you've yet to realize yet, kids. None of this is real. Every one of you is trapped in a dream. And you know whose dream it is?" Abstract Sam paused for dramatic effect and swept his hair out of his eyes. "MINE." Grinning like a psychopath, Abstract Sam advanced on Glados, twirling his lightsaber in his hand. She stepped forward, holding a turret, but Abstract simply swept a hand upwards and she was knocked off her feet by a spike of rock shooting out of the ground. Alice stepped forward, into the path between Abstract and Glados, and he turned his attention to her, paralyzing her in place and knocking her aside with the back of his hand. Ryan popped his head out of his hole, and without turning away from Glados Abstract pointed at him, causing a ball of shadows to form out of nothing and drop on top of him. When at last he reached Miss Glados, Abstract smiled and pointed his lightsaber at her throat. "You seem to be quite powerful, young one. Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that your actions have no effect since technically for me this is all a dream, you'd probably be something of a threat. I'm not killing you for vengeance, though. It's really just business. I have nothing personal against you. And you know why?" A wild, frenzied look appeared in Abstract's eyes and he grinned like a demon. "'CAUSE I'M INTO THAT SORT OF THING." Cackling like a psychopath, Abstract brought his 'saber down on...
Nothing.

"Okay, my subconscious is starting to creep me out a little bit," Sam yelled, holding Glados in his arms and standing in the branches of a tree a few feet away from Abstract. He smiled down at him and winked. "I've got you, Sam!" Jumping down and popping Glados on the ground, Sam rolled his shoulders and beckoned Abstract to come at him. Roaring, Abstract charged at Sam and swung down with his lightsaber, but Sam raised his palm and the saber vanished. Abstract hopped back a few feet and splayed both his palms out in front of him and a volley of rocks and branches burst from the scenery and flew at Sam, who simply folded his arms and willed the missiles to vanish. And they did.
"I worked it out thanks to something Ryan said," Sam explained, striding towards his other with his hands in his pockets. "He mentioned that, since you're part of my mind, that's where you're weakest. Well, you said this is your dream, right? Thus, consequently, it's my dream. I hold more sway in here than you. All you are is a bad idea." Abstract backed away, throwing things with increasing frenzy, but they all either diverted their course in mid-air or simply vanished when they got close to Sam. "Now... vanish." Sam unsheathed his left hand and pointed it at his thoughts, and Abstract Sam simply ceased to be. With his disappearance, the world around the heroes began to melt away, fading into abstract thoughtstuff and leaving the Heroes in the mouth of the cave Ryan had led them to.

"Huh. Guess it was the right cave, after all..." Sam muttered. "Speaking of which, where's Yoshi? Shouldn't he be back too, now that that world's gone?"
"Um..." Glados was sitting cross-legged on the ground. She stood up and brushed herself off. "I think, maybe... well, Yoshi died, didn't he? So, um, maybe... maybe he had to stay there."
"Well, shit..." Sam put both his hands behind his head and stared off into the distance. "So he's trapped? Dammit... looks like he'll never get to open up a can of whoopass on me after all..." Sam closed his eyes for a few moments, then opened them and smiled. "Well, he's goddamn Yoshi, isn't he? If he wants to get out, he'll find a way. That's just what he's like." Turning back to the mouth of the team, Sam pointed down into the mouth of the cave. "Okay, gang; I've got a bag fulla corpse, a head fulla Yoshi and a soul fulla remorse for my lost ally. Let's go kick some bitches down some stairs, eh?" Leading his army, Sam strode down into the depths of the cave in search of more lookalikes to hit.

Frank whistled as he went. "So ho hooo, Sam... what lookalikes are you expecting to find down her, lookalikes of all of us?" He asked.
"Well I guess so, I mean, if I have one, you guys will." Sam explained.
"Oh good, because I was beggining to think that was my twin." Frank said, yanking a thumb at a huge, muscley creature with a ripped vault 101 suit wearing a gas mask with llama ears popping out of its head. It looked towards the heroes, and let out a roar that sounded half tank, half llama, and charged

Alice felt a burning in one arm and a tingling in the other. She looked down and grinned.

"Oh well what do you know? The spells didn't wear off. Eat this!"

The flames wrapped around the lightning bolt as it struck the llamatank directly in the facemask. It seemed to falter in its charge slightly.

Alice took advantage of the time she bought and turned to Sam.

"Now why would we have doubles? I thought he was part of that iSam crew we met at the bar. Unless you mean to tell me we all have multiple personas."

Sam looked uneasily at her, unwilling to tell her that they may all actually have a team of iSelves.
