"Oi! Let's move!" Severin yelled, his arm limp at his side. Sev and his men whistled, causing their horses to charge to their sides. They mounted up, and pursued the small band of retreaters. Into a forest the cavalry headed off and found the villagers, separate from the other, more oddly-formed members of the group. The others weren't in sight in the black forest, so attention was diverted, regardless, Severin kept a mental tab.

"There wasn't much food on that voyage, was there boys?" Severin roared, dismounting from his horse, sauntering over to the largest of the villagers, a monolith of a man. Well, compared to the other villagers at least. The villager gripped his sword and shield tighter, waiting for the Vikings to act.

"NO THERE WASN'T CAPTAIN SANGUINE!" The Vikings roared back, dismounting from their horses and snarling at their captives. Severin laughed heartily and brought his hand to his face for a moment. He ran his fingers over his hard features, then began snarling himself. The entire Viking force and their Captain had grown six massive rows of sharp teeth, claws six inches long protruding outwards from the finger bones themselves, and glowing white eyes, save Sanguine's, whose glowed gold fiercely.

"Get your energy, for we ride again soon," Severin said quietly. As his last syllable tripped off his tongue, the Vikings pounced.

Dillon watched as Severin moved along as if the dart hadn't affected him
"Excalibur, we need to find the Holy Sword, with that blade we can stop Severin in this Time period, and then we can go home."
"That's great but, we don't even know where it is."
"You forget my Angelic friend," Dillon said revealing the golden disc
"I have the golden Disc I hold knowledge of the future, which means I can find the path to Excalibur."
Dillon looked at the disc it showed them in a large forest, where plants moved as if alive.
"Ok I'll fly up and try to find this forest you guys keep a lookout for Severin"
Dillon activated his wings, he winced he then flew up high it wasn't hard to find the forbidden forest.
he flew low and motioned for the heroes to follow him.

Tomoya sighed and chuckled afterwards, "You have no idea..." he said as he summoned his wings and grabbed Youmu and started to follow Dillon. "Excalibur, it might work, they said it has untold power in some of the stories I heard...and I intended that Disc to be a warning not a information carrier...maybe I forgot to delete some stuff...crap" Tomoya thought.

As Tomoya was pulling her through the air, Youmu suddenly noticed a kind of tingle on her skin. Maybe...just maybe... Slowly, she started to let go of Tomoya's hand, levitating under her own power. There is magic in this place? she thought. This must be from before it all drained away... so we've gone back in time again?

She brought herself to a stop and shook her head to nobody in particular. Doesn't matter. I haven't flown in a while...Feels nice to finally get airborne again.

Everyone in Touhou can fly. It's never fully explained. Neither are a lot of things. You get used to it after a while. Then you start making your own theories. My own take on the subject is that it's a side effect of its magical atmosphere, so this place being magical as well would allow Youmu to fly, using pretty much the same process as she would use in Gensokyo.

- Before the teleportation
Caim snarled as Doom ran off to find Wesker, and ran to the dragon, "Angelus! Angelus! It's me, Caim! You know, the fool human? Please, answer me!"
The dragon didn't seem to respond too much to Caim's pleads and continued thrashing about. That's when the portal began. Caim was still trying to reach the dragon when Dillon grabbed his arm; "I'm sorry about your dragon, friend, but we need to leave!"
Caim wasn't paying Dillon much mind, but yelled back, which of course Dillon didn't hear, "I don't care what you have to say, I need to get to Angelus! She's not feeling very smart at the moment, and I need to calm her down! ANGELUS! ANGE-"

Post teleportation
The group fell with a solid crunch, and by some grace, the dragon with them. Caim finally decided enough was enough, jumped onto the dragon's back, and the two barreled into some nearby woods. She shook her head around, and finally Caim placed his head on her neck, and yelled "Remember me, Angelus!" With that, he forced himself into her mind, and pushed all of their shared memories together as far as he could. By this point the dragon had already took to the air, and was doing her damn best to shake Caim off. (Also, Tomoya, Dillon and Youmu are in the air). Memories fluttered in the dragon's mind, and she finally stopped moving... For a moment. The next thing Caim new, she was gracefully flying in the sky. A rumble went through Caim's mind and he heard her voice again, crackling from lack of (proper) use, "...Caim... Thank you. I have not been myself for some time, have I?"
Caim shook his head, and answered, "No, you haven't. But that's behind us. You're okay now. What we need to do now is to find out what's going on at this place. Where are we, for one?"
The dragon looked around, "Well, for one, it is certainly not our home. However, it is similar in atmosphere. Magic runs thick here, and it does my bones a load of good." There was a throaty laugh, and she began flying forward at a quicker pace, "Regardless, once we find our comrades, we can get a further grip on the reality of this situation. I do believe I smell three distinct members of our group; The angel, the false angel and the ghost girl. We'll catch up to them soon enough."

James walked out of the armory in a full set of ebony armor with the helmet under his arm. On each hip was a sword of the same stuff as his armor. It felt good to have an actual sword in his hands as opposed to a weightless sword made out of a star. Hopefully he would be able to keep all this stuff by the time he got back to his own time/dimension.

Doom Also replaced his green Cloak with a Dark red Variation and got a Black Paint Job on his armour.
"Fuck Yeah, so...James...was it? What do you offer Doom?" He asked James as they left the Castle towards Camelot.

Severin and his score of men had finished their dinner and looked to the sky, where they heard a loud roar. Overhead, a dragon, accompanied by the other party of Heroes, flew overhead. The troops were startled and unsettled, but mostly anxious at a new fight. Severin smirked and called for the small company to return to base camp.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As night fell upon the land, the Swedes were enjoying flasks of grog and sticks of mutton and other Viking-sounding grog-'n-mutton-esque food. There were centuries of them, all willing to fight for the good of their leader, of whom was in his large Battle Tent, reviewing a map of Great Britain.

"The Scots will want in on this too, eh?" Sev asked his Majors, Wrex and Garrus (just names, not the Krogan and Turian).

"Our brother Norse settled in Scotland a mere half-a-century ago. Family and blood ties remain strong, and English aggression will fuel their war effort," Garrus commented, taking a sip of mead. Wrex chuckled.

"Scots and their Lizard Mounts... a good thing our Griffins will be able to provide much-needed air support," Wrex growled through a mouthful of beef. A loud screech pierced the ether. A panting, dead piglet-clad viking ran into the tent.

"Captain, the Wyverns have arrived!" the soldier's face bore a smile that shone brightly. Severin laughed aloud and walked outside to his army. The Vikings were joined by their Griffins, Battle-Boars, Battle-Hounds, and over head the Wyverns were shooting streams and jets of flames into the twilight sky. A massive fire served as the hub of the camp, and there Severin stood, ready to make a speech to his army.

"Hear me my warriors! Soldiers from all the edges of Scandinavia! Let us join our forces, from Sweden to Normandy, UNITE! The four winds will guide us, the Heart of Norse will light the way! Tomorrow we march on England and take Excalibur, then we march on France, to usurp King Rangtion!" Seveirn boomed. One officer in particular, Zero, took particular interest in the speech, and smiled at the budding Captain.

"From Elementalist in training, to Captain of your own company, to Time Traveler, now you speak of revolution? Oh Severin, you and I are going to have a very rich history together," Zero laughed, his eyes clouding over, "and as long as if you do what I say, you'll never fail in life..."

==============================================================================================

"I've made a decision," Severin said to Frank and Drek. The three were eating crumpets aboard The Maelstrom, and the other two had just become very interested with meeting their faces to their palms.

"I've decided we're going home," Sev announced. The other two immediately became very interested in what Sev had to say. Odd, I know.

"Before we make any rash decisions, put on the monitor, let's see how Earth looks nowadays," Frank said, pressing a few buttons on his wristpad. A monitor floated towards them and flickered on an image of Earth. Hold onto your butts.

"MY NAME IS MILLARDO AND I'M STILL BITTER ABOUT FRANK AND SEV BEING COOLER THAN ME!!!" Zechs (sorry, Millardo) boomed across the human population. Humanity was a slave to the creation of edifices in their new God's name. It was bad. Real bad. Guns were everywhere. Gundams were everywhere. I don't even know what the hell a Gundam is but it was damn scary.

Frank shut off the monitor.

"That scare you too?" Drek asked his father. Sev nodded slowly, freaked the fuck out.

"I've become accustomed to space... I think we should stay," Sev said tentatively as he retreated to his quarters.

The Heroes soon reached the forbidden forest.
"OK the good news is, we're where we need to be, the bad news is, we have to walk through the forest.
"Walk, why are you wings getting tired or something?" asked Tomoya confused.
"No but there's now way to properly navigate from the air, that thick canopy means we could pass right over the sword and never know."
Dillon gently landed.
"However I'm fully aware we have a rather large draconian ally, so it's best if we stick to the larger path."
Dillon led them into the forbidden forest hoping that Severin wouldn't find them, if they did well he t'd have to hope the they could outrun him, because that dart should have knocked him out cold for an hour, and all he did was make his arm sleepy.

As the heroes walked through the forest, they came upon a large low laying branch. Sitting on it was a strange woman humming a tune. She slowly turned her head to face them.

She squinted, trying to recognize a face. "Who are you and what do you want in my forest?" she asked sternly, moving to block their path.

"Since I am being an opportunist, I offer my services until we leave or a faster way to do so comes along. In the mean time, I just hope we don't get involved in some complicated bullshit," James told Doom as they walked down the road.

Dillon rolled his eyes.
"Well lets get this over with," Dillon walked forward hand extended
"Hi I'm Dillon, we're questing for the Holy Sword Excalibur, your welcome to join us, though I warn you, there's a 99% chance I'll fall in love with you, It's happened before, and the prettier the more likely hence 99.9%."
Dillon then tried to give her a warm smile, though this women likely wouldn't care for human emotions.

Caim rolled his eyes, and gestured loosely towards Dillon with sword in hand, the dragon translating; "Keep it in your trousers, boy. We have a mission ahead of us. Dryad, lady of the forest, we seek the tool of man. A long iron stick, with a sharp point, most likely touched by human gods. It will have an aura of power behind it, hopefully, of reverence and holy power. Have you seen, felt or heard of anything with that sort of power? There is one who would bring it to use for nasty dealings, and we are attempting to find a way to prevent that. So, I ask again, have you seen such a tool?"

Dillon shook his head.
"I know where the sword is, I just need the Dryad to let me pass. Then again if she doesn't let me pass."
Dillon rolled his head around his shoulders, getting out all the stiff kinks in his neck, followed by an insane smile.
"Also I don't intend to flirt with the tree lady, Dryads have run from lovesick gods for Millennia,"
Dillon then turned to the Guardian of the wood
"Now I give you two options, either
A: allow us to pass through and you may join us in unimaginable glory or stay here and live your life as atee, doomed to get hugged by hippies.
or B: stand in defiance and be doomed to be the fuel for which i start a fire burning all your forest friends."
Dillon's eyes had turned yellow with slits his canines elongated.
"He'll do it, he's crazy" stated Tomoya.

Youmu tugged on Dillon's arm. "You know, I think there's a reason they call it the forbidden forest..." she started, then stopped, seeing the madness in his eyes. Slowly, she backed off, falling in next to the dragon. It didn't seem to notice, or care.

She left a soft mental note to Youmu "Keep close, child. I fear what this fool may do..." After that, the dragon bared her teeth and gave a low growl, "Back off, false one. This is a warder of the trees. Attempt to kill her and the whole of the forest is against us, down to the last blade of grass!" With that, Caim walked over between the dryad and Dillon, his sword readied in a defensive stance. "You seek blood as my partner does, but at least he knows when there is a time and a place for it! Think rationally before taking any such drastic actions!"

Tomoya sighed as he heard Dillon trying to romance the guardian and warned her of his craziness. He then nodded towards the Dragon and Caim, "Yeah we should think about this a bit more...and I don't think she has responded to us yet...or am I just day dreaming?" He questioned.

Youmu slightly resented being called a child, but didn't say anything, due to the fact that it was coming from a dragon. The spirit - was it? - still hadn't said anything or moved an inch since Dillon had first confronted it. Her stare was actually slightly unnerving, and Dillon's own eyes - even for the single second she'd seen them - would probably be burned into her nightmares forever.

Even so, she stood stock-still, waiting for someone to break the impasse.
