The production quality on this is fantastic! It really raises the bar for all the other entries. I like a few of them, but this one blows them out of the water. I'd watch this and so would a ton of my friends, and not just the ones into this site. How is the pokemon one in the lead, are a bunch of 15 year olds voting?

I can't imagine 15 year olds would find Pokemon series jokes that funny. I mean it's relevant to me at my age because I remember watching the show when I was a kid. Is Pokemon even on anymore?

Okay. So here is the deal. I would like for you, or anyone else really, to explain to me how the production quality of this video is better than 90% of the videos in this contest? THEY NEVER LEAVE THEIR LIVING ROOM. Okay, so maybe all caps was not needed there...but I'm a firm believer there is more content in this post alone than in their entire video. Okay, I give them props. They live in Cali (so do i), they probably go to some film school here, they have the money and resources off their other online series to produce something great and they gave me two dudes sitting on a couch...content man. I want to know content. I want to know where this show would go. I would vote for episode 0 before I voted for this simply because they took the time, even on a low budget and decent acting to produce something with content.

I've sworn my soul to Pocket Monsters for being told I was an idiot for not believing that this show was from Jesus himself. But much like Dairy Queen...DQ...get it?...what might have first impressions of offering you satisfaction ends up leaving you with messy diarrhea.

EDIT: And on a side note. I'm not even sure that 15 year-old kids were alive when pokemon was released. I'm 26 and I while I can say I never watched the show, I would watch this based on the idea of pokemon being an adult style show. Without the bare boobs and penetration of course.

Cause you know a bunch of 15 year olds would TOTALLY choose the movie with a bunch of dudes in military clothes over the one w/ a hot big breasted chick.

Like it was said before, this one has a great camera, good acting on the parts of the guys on the couch (Cause gamers are sooooo much a stretch) and a hot chick. Outside of that, it doesn't bring alot to the table besides being cheaper for escapist if they give them the contract.

Okay, Mr. Lookingforloper, you clearly have quite a chip on your shoulder for one fan disagreeing with you. Talk about taking things to an extreme. So someone really liked this and you thought it was not the best, big deal, chill out. Why take it out (with a vengeance) on the creators. Wow. But, I will be happy to define what I most people in the world consider production quality, and it doesn't require multiple locations. Production quality is raised or lowered by a combination of acting skill, writing, sound quality, score, lighting, and effects - things that generally make content look more professional (and that the other entries just don't have much of in my opinion). I just checked out this creator's other series (The Crew) and I now have total faith that he would deliver a stellar series, WITH lots of locations, should he be chosen. Sometimes there's a lot to be said for not spelling everything out in the first episode, I think that was all the other guy was referring to when he mentioned Lost. Obviously a web series isn't in the same circle, it was just a reference to it making you ask questions (ie: What will Galen look like? Where will this go? Will Dorian help? What other characters will come in? - these are some of the things it made me ask). No one said it was GOD, they just liked it, and so do I. You're welcome not to, but I feel like you're childishly basing your opinion more on having your feelings hurt than on actual quality. I mentioned 15 yr olds, because I mentor a 15 yr old, and he is the only person I know who's into pokemon (or was at one point a few years ago, so he may have nostalgia feelings there). Dorian's Quest creators - "Good Job" from me. I liked The Crew, and hope you win and can show us all what adventures await.

I gave it my vote simply because of the fact that they got Anya from Buffy to be in this.

Seriously though if thats not Emma Caufield she is a damn good look alike.

She does look like Emma! Did my homework tho, the actors are: Brett Register, Craig Frank, and Paula Rhodes. Kudos to you guys! I like a couple entries in this fest, but you guys have my vote.

Good concept, probably very popular in gamer's fantasies. The story line would be more entertaining and draw the viewer in if the heroine were allowed to play the part as more self confident and not as a helpless frightened 12 year old's fantasy (although there are a few daughters of very wealthy families that this persona might fit). For a 3 minute first attempt, better than the rest I looked at.

Very nice guys! I love the idea. 2 normal gamers get caught up in a weird-ass "adventure". Hell yeah, this series could go places. I watched it immediately after we uploaded ours, and went "Oh sh**."

Great job.

Homework well done, FinalCut, that's us:) And I'm totally flattered by the Emma comparison, love her! Tejeti, back at ya, fun effects and idea, and you can tell a lot of work went into it, nicely done sir (and I like your Team Rocket idea, sure I'm not alone there).

To answer the guy(s?) musing on why we had just one location, shortE is correct, we would be adding many more (as well as some fantastic SFX, spoke to some guys today just incase we get a chance to use them), didn't really need multi locations for this segment of the story tho. We shot in LA, which is riddled with all sorts of permit laws. We would have had to pony up a lot of sweet sweet moolah to shoot outdoors here or other places (or risk getting slapped with serious fines, ouch). Our budget was $0, just pulling favors from friends with equipment and skills. Regardless, thank you all for the support as well as critiques, we appreciate them all, and your time. Fun festival!

So far, the princess has popped out of the videogame, and she's warned us that the evil ogre is not too far behind. A thought: did she just come out of this one copy of the videogame, or did she escape from the entire franchise? What if, by escaping, she rendered every other copy of the game unplayable, since now every other copy is missing the princess?

Further thoughts: what if every copy has its own princess capable of escaping? What if they all start coming out, and the world is suddenly awash with videogame princesses and angry ogres?

I think you guys have a lot of material to play with.

So just because the only person you can think of that knows about or is into pokemon is a 15 year old kid, that validates your comment that the only people voting for the "Pocket Monster" must be 15 year old kids?

And isn't the point of this to welcome in new artists to show their creations, not have current known artists bring side ideas to win?

Its already obvious, that yes, the creator can make a good series w/ his other show, but him coming back would be like Lucus or Ron Howard returning to sundance and stuff to win awards there...when they have already made it. They should be shooting for higher stars.

Yes this has great quality camera, decent acting (once again, not a hard stretch), a hot chick, and the potential to a story that as of right now leads ALOT open to the imagination. But they had the money to get the camera from previous projects, and the experience that the majority of these other people have yet to have a chance to gain. Acting included.

One of my favorites on here is the Mythbusters meets Gaming type one w/ the Zelda tricks. I feel it has more entertainment value than this or the "Pocket Monsters". Not so much for the stupid stunts but if it were to pick up, they would be able to polish it better and help educate people in a scientific way or even show to kids that why its stupid to try and recreate something they saw on GTA. Will it win? probably not because of the story potential and effort put into "Pocket Monsters" and the Polish relaxed story of DQ.

But to say that just because you didn't get into a series in the past and only person you know of is a kid, only kids must be voting is kind of a bullshit claim..but it is only just your opinion, as all of this, is just my opinion.

Either way I think the people that are in the top 5 right now atleast are all well put forth entries and hope the best of luck to them all.
