OT: Feminism needs to be in there somewhere. Maybe it's just me but it seems like we get a lot less feminism threads than we used to. I remember days when there were like 4 feminism threads on the front page of Off Topic, one as pointless and fruitless as the next.

I CTRL + F myself (that sounds dirty) in threads like this all the time. Good ego boosting!

The way of the search bar [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.255024-The-Escapist-Forums-History] seems lost on this forum. I remember when people actually told people on a very regular basis to use the search bar and there were actual grammar nazis around. That died off around 08-09 to a large degree. So yeah for more real info just checkout that thread it has a lot there and or hunt down users mentioned/talking in that thread for more info.

Also there used to be a lot more I'm leaving the Escapist cause reason posts ages ago. That and people used to have this thing about bitching about J/WRPGS(moreso the J kind) and Halo 3. Then MW 2, etc.

I think 2009 should include arguments over anime and jrpgs, we don't have much written for that year and arguments over how much people loved and hated it was like ponies before ponies. I don't know what to call it, someone else think of something.

Also every year should be marked with people complaining about how much better the community was the previous year.

Edit: Oh, I just remembered, 2009 was also the era of "use the search bar asshole", People got very angry about repeat threads those days. We don't even have a search bar any more.

Well then I guess I still haven't completely learned the new lay out, still I've seen much less yelling about repeat threads, unless it's a super overused topic like feminism. Used to be any time a topic was posted twice in one week, people got a bit hostile. I think it was part of the pre yahtzee escapists expecting a higher standard of posts.
