Oh lord, the metronome is the bane of my existence, I practice every day with one for my jazz stuff. Rock's not really my thing anymore hence the awful playing but I know full well the value of a good metronome. Hell I've got an iPod app with it just in case I forget my good old Korg.

Dammit, if only i actually owned a double bass, i could enchant your ears so they bleed with my Capuzzi concerto or make you shoot yourself with joy at my expert playing of partita III.

if you didn't catch on yet, they are hard songs and my playing them can drive you to suicide.

Oh, I know. Believe me I know.
I've got one of the classic wooden counterweight ones.

You should post some of your jazz stuff!

Yea, it's my first post. I've been signed up here for a while, but I really didn't have anything to contribute.....until now. So, I guess I'm going to be a little more active here...maybe, kind of, sort of. But, I was glad to have this opportunity!
Excellent news! I'm really happy that I've given a new member something to contribute to the site, that makes me feel really good.

You want to know another reason I like romantic-era?
I get to use the damper pedal.
I'll record something soon, I got it figured out, just need to find something to play and wait until my family is all gone.
You sir have a good point, the pedal DOES make a heap of difference, although it would mush the Prelude together. I can't wait to hear your stuff!

So I got bored and decided it was about time to terrify a few of you. As such, here is my (poorly recorded) rendition of the Rainbow Song [http://www.musicuploader.org/uploaded.php?file=9298401256381270.mp3]. I'll be hooking my electric violin up some time soon to record something with more talent demonstrated.
I didn't even know you played an instrument Lab. Cool!

I love how I knew the genre before the video started because of your guitar :p Not a huge fan but you are an incredible player. I've developed my shredding to use immense speed-picking instead of mostly 'hammer-on's and 'pull-off's. But you pull it off really well (pun intended).

Eyes on Me from Final Fantasy VIII. I love this song, it's such a beautiful piano piece and love song. It really made the romance between Squall and Rinoa complete.

Cheers, that's actually all picked except for the diminished descending run, the rest is all alternate picked.

It's such a nice guitar though.

Cheers, any feedback welcome.
Nice, I quite liked that, just wish the solo went for longer!

Thanks, I could always learn the other solo in that song....

Hehe, actually I'm planning on doing White Walls next, should be a fun one.

I've been meaning to do this one for a little while!
Eruption... that was a Van Halen song right? Whoever originally played it you've done a fantastic job with it! All the guitar on this thread, makes my poor old piano seem obsolete...

I really like the idea and I would like to post a video, but I have a problem. Does anyone know how to multi-layer a video? I was planning on doing a cover of a song and have like four of me on camera at once. Is there anyway to do that?

Meh, does it have to be audio? =(

http://www.myspace.com/ironyofapathy a link to my old bands' myspace page, there's only one recording left on there, though, and it's basically a home recorded demo, but at least it something. I'm the drummer.

Lo, and behold what I have found on YouTube!
My school's jazz band! (I play piano, obviously.)

My improv's a lot better now. It kind of sucked back then.

I googled it to try and help you out and got very confused very quickly. So I'm sorry, but I'm not sure.

Dude, I have a video of me jamming last night with Victor Fucking Wooten, and I'll post that as soon as my buddy sends it to me.
D'whaat? How did that amazing situation come about? I'm all ears.

OT: I haven't a shred of musical talent, but I may cobble something together on the guitar.
