Lo, and behold what I have found on YouTube!

My improv's a lot better now. It kind of sucked back then.
Yay! That is sooooo cool! (Squints to see what you look like). I love the shaky handheld camera in these videos, it just epitomises awesome. I quite liked a lot of the improv in the first video, especially the guitar bits, reminded me slightly of what Mark Knofler was like on the guitar. I couldn't hear you that much on the piano, but I got a vague idea of what was going on and you're waaaayy better than me. Those girls laughing in the start of the first video was quite amusing/distracting. I can't wait to hear some more of your stuff!

Also your school was called Central High School? That sounds like it belongs in a tv show, not real life!

I'm facing away from the audience...I could hear the piano just fine, but I have more practice. The guitarist is totally amazing. He's crazy. Yeah, those girls were singing along in the beginning.

I know...
I live on a street called Dovewood Lane. It's weird.

I've been meaning to do this one for a little while!
Now, that kind of stuff makes me wish I knew how to play guitar.
And then I remember trying...and failing it horribly X-D
Nice job!

My school's jazz band! (I play piano, obviously.)

My improv's a lot better now. It kind of sucked back then.
In that case, I'm expectantly waiting on your new stuff.
Oh, and also:
Damn you! You're trying to expand my musical horizons!
And it's woooooorking!
NOOOOOO!
My close mindedness! It's slipping away!

The first one was my favorite of the two.

I just put a deposit on a violin today, how exciting! Unfortunately because I rent and I'm poor it'll be a little while until I get it, but when I do I'll have to put something of that up on here. Until then I have a few more piano pieces to pull out yet.

This is just me playin a random bass solo at band practice.
Wait is that a bass guitar you're playing? Because if it is that's a very nice sound you're getting out of it. Forgive my lack of knowledge for anything beyond classical music.

yup, thats a bass. I took lessons for the six string guitar so i just approach bass playing as playing a six string guitar minus two strings. plus im running it through a boss DS-1 distortion pedal and a digitech RP90 guitar processor and two guitar amps.

Best part about that solo is that i did that while i was hungover. it took a lot of ibuprofin to get through that practice.

Edit: Im also using a guitar pick to play it. i cant finger pick.

Ooh ooh I finally got a vid for this topic. Not gonna show it though it's not THAT good....
Unless you so heartily ask, then you will hear the end of Eight Days a Week where we get to mess up the lyrics :D

(Gives a massive thumbs up in the USA's general direction). I'm very impressed! I didn't even know you could do that to a bass guitar, so kudos for bringing a new sound of it!

Do you get headachey whilst hungover? I'm the opposite, never have headaches but I feel really nauesous, all the time. Ibuprofen would probably make it worse for me!

I get a little headachey, my hangovers arent like a big explosion, if you will, but more like a simmering pan, i guess. what im trying to say is i dont get a bad headache but i have it all day.

I'd rather that than feeling like I'm going to throw up all of the time...

But we've wandered off track, nice work with the bass!

the only thing I have of me actually playing my guitar is just a random test I did to see the quality I get with my toneport. Both guitars are on the first take and I didn't use a metrenome, plus the tapping solo thingy was improv so it's kind of eh, but if you really want to see it I also have an intentionally shitty christian metal parody called "jesus will devour your soul" but I didn't post it on youtube and i really don't care enough to look for it, but if you want to youtube search it some random little kid has probably posted it somewhere.

Seeing if I could do a video every week. This song was kind of an after thought though, I really wasn't planning on performing it, so considering that, this came out really good! Plus, my singing actually sounds half-way decent!

Oh, I kind of need tips. I've been trying to form a band for the longest time, and nothing is really working out. The biggest trouble I have are actually finding people and commitment. I was wondering what I can do to actually get people in a band and actually have them a little more committed. I mean, I have a drummer and a bass player now so I scheduled practices and three times in a row they couldn't make it. It really sucked, especially since I was actually bringing my guitar and everyone else couldn't make it.

Well, I guess what I need help on is finding people and commitment.

My band (The Posh Monkies) and I just finished writing our first song (Your life is a ceramic badger) When we record it, I guarantee we'll put it here.

Can I just say I love how your camera screwed you over like that? It's like mine, it's a crappy phone camera which distorts the sound of my piano shockingly.

I liked the basic tune behind it, but by far the funniest bit was your drummer going weird at the end of the video haha!
