Hey, I don't know if you've ever heard this before, but this is the prelude to the Fugue you were playing on the guitar that you posted the other day. Pardon the sound quality, I only have a mobile phone to capture these films on, and there's a few errors because I was in a rush to shoot it before I had to go to work, but otherwise enjoy!

You want to know another reason I like romantic-era?
I get to use the damper pedal.
I'll record something soon, I got it figured out, just need to find something to play and wait until my family is all gone.

Well, I'll be posting something when I get my pandora. It has usb so you won't have to deal with bad sound quality. :D

So I got bored and decided it was about time to terrify a few of you. As such, here is my (poorly recorded) rendition of the Rainbow Song [http://www.musicuploader.org/uploaded.php?file=9298401256381270.mp3]. I'll be hooking my electric violin up some time soon to record something with more talent demonstrated.

Here's a hip-hop video my friend did for me a couple years back, I gotta warn you for violent images and language, however. Here goes:

Also, I just wanted to say, we have some really talented people here! Kudos to all!

I hope this meets the grade, your piano playing was pretty nice...way to set the bar high in the first post...bastard.
Not amazing, but it's of my own composition.
That, sir, is fucking awesome.

God damnit. I tried doing a drum cover of Blink-182's Adam's Song for this thread when my camera ran out of power during the recording and didn't save the footage. I'll try again at another time. Until then, here's the original for an idea of the drums:

The last one is out of time, I'm well aware of that.
It's only a little out of time.

Also, two things:
Your "Blues Jam" songs aren't actually blues, you're playing a rock/blues combo, as opposed to a jazz/blues like I play, or a true Delta blues, like <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yd60nI4sa9A>Robert Johnson.

And during the first one and parts of the second (Blue Jam), you played on nearly every beat. That's fine, and it shows that you have a lot of ideas, but it overloads on the listener's ear. While that's the entire point in Thrash Metal and Malmsteem-style shredding, blues is intended to be pretty minimalistic. When you take time to breath and let the listener's ear process it all, you'll have a much better effect. It helps with phrasing a lot.

(And just an aside, you use more distortion than most rock/blues guitarists would.)

I'm not quite sure what you hope to gain by bashing my simple description of something, but I feel compelled to defend myself anyway.

I posted 2 videos of my guitar playing, recorded a year ago and simply for enjoyment of the people on this site, yet you felt that you couldn't let my description of them pass? I know I play rock blues, my biggest influecnes are Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, and Whitesnake for this sort of playing, I know it's heavier than straight blues. I also have several hours of me playing one note solos, Jeff Beck inspired jazz odysseys, and Delta blues lifted straight from Robert Johnson, who is one of my favourite guitarists. I just thought people would appreciate these more.

And forgive my branding you with the criticism of 'pretentious git,' but criticising my style off two videos? That's like me calling you a pretentious git from a single post, which I bet you don't find too flattering. I don't see anything you've posted, so until you do, and people have proclaimed you better, don't criticise.

Well, first off, I'm sorry I came off so critical, I was just trying to offer some advice, which I quoted nearly verbatim from my music teacher.

As for the naming, sorry again. I just have a little pet peeve with people who mislabel things, because it confuses people. (Mainly me...)

Not the best cover in the world, but I recorded it about five minutes ago, anyway.

Enjoy Technical Difficulties.

Fixed your embedding. You can quote me to get the text for it and edit it into yours. The way it is now, the brackets make it a malformed video ID.

Also, you could be my brother. Seriously.
It's a little scary.

Fair enough.

Here's our band playing For whom the bell tolls from Metallica:

I'm the one on the right with the red Metallica T-shirt. Good times.
I know I look like a homeless cookie monster, that's yet another sacrifice if you want long hair.

Alright I just finished uploading this, let me know what you think if you'd be so kind, it's a bit rough but that's okay.

...and I totally wore the awesome hoody.

What a coincidence, I was just thinking about putting up guitar videos soon. When I get a camera and a microphone I'll be sure to let you know. I'm thinking of taking something easy, like the Zelda theme, Mario theme, or Frog's theme.

It's really good, I like it. It was a little out of tempo at the beginning, though, but that might have been you using a complex meter or something. Other than that, I really felt it needed to start building a little earlier. Maybe you could try either cutting a little out of the intro, or starting to fill the space a little more at around 1:30 on in.

Well thanks, I just threw it together tonight and sometimes my mind wanders when I play so I go out of time. It's not a weird meter I was in, just bad playing on my part.

It helps a lot if you practice with a metronome. Here's a great free one you can use.
