Research wheels. Yay!

I would put the settlers between the horses and gold instead of on the hill for two reasons:
1. Gold = happiness
2. Settling really close to Geneva just feels weird to me.

That's where I'm aiming. There are two "SETTLE HERE" symbols, I want the one on the far left.

Warrior it is, then.

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542900342970509000/0FA37D376BCA8BF66C94856627E48DEACA5D7389/

As the new workers of bugger all to do right now, they'll just sit on their duffs.

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542900342970500259/96909E371B16F361A1A80F1576C395C6CEEF4B01/

The barbarians to the north of Onondaga left, but new ones appear from the south!

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542900342970511482/427A03C4533443E0151E8C1B66D08EA07F1310CD/

(Ignore the scout vs barbarian comparison, it's there because I didn't clear my mouse cache.)

Onondaga bombarded them back into the stone age.

Far away, our settlers settle in a new area and OH LAWD.

NOT FAIR, GAME. NOT FAIR.

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542900342970506212/E379E8F0EEBD4461026E819200037987FEB48987/

The arrows surprise the barbarians, so they hold back, but they're probably only biding their time.

However, in the twenty-to-one chance that Osininka survives this (what with it being guarded by a third of a scout), what should we build in it? We can build anything we've built up to now (screenshot missing).

Monument! A healthy part of any growing city's breakfast.

Also, can't those workers at home clear the trees around the deer in preparation for the camp we will eventually put there?

Or can you place camps in forests?

I think the only things that can be in forests are trading posts. D:

But?maybe?

Besides, you only need bronze working to chop down jungles, I think?

Monument it shall be... not that it'll survive...

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542900342989598534/103C191433F8F75BA6E982D6D4A375A1656F955C/

The... barbarians didn't attack us! WHAT.

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542900342989595846/49456460854757C455D1B1AD10B25A50285E22CB/

RAWR RAIN OF ARROWS.

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542900342989593866/CD5B70A7943227529EB5FE1612E75551354C1864/

Let's run through the reasoning checklist:

-None of you guys have declared your desire to burn the world to the ground.
-The Greeks are probably fairly close by. We don't want to have border tensions this early.
-He asked politely.
-We've already staked the resource motherload.
-We can expand three other directions.
-It's doubtful that we're actually going to keep this city in one piece anyways.

Fine, I'll be nice and say "OK".

Wonderful. I expect GREAT THINGS out of this friendship.

The barbarians, now...

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542900342989589613/2E78D4D5049E7EC4891FF4988CDB704ADF16DECC/

...have continued to NOT ATTACK US.

Let's give them arrows as a gift! As quickly as possible, to show our gratitude! Thank goodness arrows are designed to be give quickly!

...Oh. Looks like more barbarians have fallen over.

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542900342989586851/353B7AC7108BA8E6F7EAF03B2F0E5AF84553E585/

Scouts are going in to finish them off!

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542900342989584002/9D3070D56BAC84F0D2176E9EF0A6FE52D2E3FDD5/

WE SURVIVED! OMGWTFBBQ.

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542900342989580566/F09D0442AD39095321425F4280098694C4668944/

Plus, we now have more warriors to ship over to our new city so they have more protection than just beleaguered scouts! YAY! What should Onondaga build now?

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542900342989578579/16A76920239C1C2968375EC1125FA7EC4EE77649/

Also, new policy selection. Free worker to build a road with, plus 25% speed building improvements? Or Republic, which gives each city +1 production, +5% production when building buildings? Or a new policy tree altogether?

Also, if someone good with RNGs reads this... HOW'D WE SURVIVE THAT?

Well, you're only on Warlord difficulty. Besides, you can't just capture an empty city anymore. You have to being its health down to zero by attacking it multiple times. Those barbarians didn't stand a chance.

As for the policy, um, well?

I can't decide.

How about heads for Republic and tails for Citizenship? Coin flips always help!

Yeah, I'm used to Civ IV. That's one reason I decided to run this crazy game.

Anyways, I flipped tails. So one vote for Citizenship/Free Worker from Eumersian.

Free Worker=awesome. Workers are the backbone of any economic or scientific victory. Grab Citizenship.

Onondoga should build an Archer. Archers are immensely powerful and very useful, early on. Plus, they become Crossbowmen, which are equally useful in their era. Believe me when I say, defense becomes much simpler with a ranged unit on the field. I recommend building 2 archers and sending one over near Osinaka and keeping one near Onondoga.

I say Citizenship and free workers. We'll get The Wheel soon, that shall help greatly.

And build archers. No sense getting the tech if we weren't going to. Plus they kick ass at defending, so we can stop worrying about barbarians after we get a few.

As of now, we declare that all our subjects must be good citizens!

Archer training started. New worker found.

Let's send the worker up here.

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/542900969334185763/311F376370866CE49E469AAB308B2ED63B37EDFC/

What? But I promised to expand the other way!

Oh, SCREW YOU, ALEXANDER! SCREW YOU!

(Let's just say "very well". No need to get him even more angry at me yet.)

On the bright side, wheel is researched!

What to research now?

Looks like we need more food. I say Trapping again, I want them deer.

Also, may I ask what our workers in Onondaga are doing? Even if we don't get to decide what they do, I'm just curious.

Picking from any of the 7 turn techs, it's really hard to decide. They're all good, but I would probably rank them 1(lowest)-6(highest):

1. Sailing
2. Masonry
3. Calendar
4. Writing
5. Trapping
6. Bronze Working

(That's me voting for Bronze Working. ^^)

Nothing. Do you want them to do something?

Automate the workers. :p They know what to do, we don't need to think about them in addition to the rest of this stuff.

Trapping. We need foods.
