Well, Starcraft was an excellent title for me. I really enjoyed that game, and I got seriously addicted to that. Although I'm 20 years old, I'm pretty late in the gaming craze. Whenever I got a chance to play something, we'd usually rent a console. And the game I played was "Jak and Daxter, the Precursor legacy". *Sigh* so much fun that was.

Resident Evil 4. Before then, I had played games, but never really was a gamer. That was the game that transformed me.

It was either Super Mario World, A Link to the Past or Street Fighter II that got me hooked on gaming.

One of the first games to suck me in was Super Mario World for the SNES; but the games that truly "made me a gamer" were Goldeneye and Star Wars Rogue Squadron for N64. The game that sealed the deal was Halo: Combat Evolved for Xbox.

Halo: Combat Evolved. Before this, I was like... I dunno, 9, 10? ALl I had to play were the usual shitty kids games, but my dad goes out and buys Halo for himself to play, and he let me plat every once in a while.... Damn, I got hooked on gaming. The first taste of really good gaming Id ever had, and I wanted more. Turned me into an FPS lover, and eventually an all round gamer.

Essentially, this:

Well for me, the first game that ever 'blew me away' enough that I wanted to do more than just play casually and wanted to seriously get into games was still Halo: Combat evolved.
I loved the action, the cinematic story telling and the general atmosphere. Seriously, it's one of those games that I just loved and couldn't get enough of.

Halo:CE - father of the modern shooter.

While I played and loved the N64 Zelda games, what really made me a gamer was when I got Halo 2 when I was about 11.

It was the best game I had played at the time, and I still think of it as being better than Halo: CE (although CE was an excellent shooter).

Super Mario World & Pokemon Gold ... Both bought at the same time (shaatttuupppp, they looked cool and were cheap at the time!!!), given to me along with my first handheld (GameBoy FTW) that I sooner or later took apart and then put back together... Then had to get a NEW ONE!!! \^w^/

At first, Super Mario 64, but a few years later, after I had sort of lost my way with gaming, Okami rekindled my passion.

One of the Mario games on either the NES or SNES I would guess, I don't actually know. I have been playing video games since I was three years old.
