Wait, so because you're Christian it means you don't think it's right to stare? I don't know if that's explicitly covered in the Bible or anything, but okay. I'm sorry, but as (mostly) an atheist I find that rather offensive.

I'm sure that wasn't your intent and I know I'm being a mite petty for bringing it up, but please don't assume that having good morals is restricted to Christians or even to religious people. You looked away because you're a good person, not cause you're Christian. I know plenty of Christians who would ogle that girl till her chest took to flame.
I guess that sweeping statement could get me in hot water, it wasn't intended.
The reason I made that statement is because if I just said I don't think it is right people would ask my morals behind it, I thought I'd just state christian and most people would get why. Again was't a poke at non christians, just covering bases in my initial discription.

I gotcha. No problems! I pretty much got that when I read it, I just thought I'd contend that point. :D

Hi all, still sort of new here I know but I had something happen too me the other day and I was wondering if anyone else shared my experience... well I already know everyone probably has, but I wanted people to share their thoughts.

So I was in summer A humanities and was having a good time (I actually like school..) and I that the girl next to me was also in my psych class, so I asked her and we laughed about the other teacher, anyways I hadn't really looked at her too much except her face and maybe a casual glance. So she was sitting next to me and the teacher is going on about mythology when suddenly she stretched her arms above her head, arms back, chest forward... I thought my eyes were going to pop out of my head, I felt like the guy from raiders of the lost ark that face melted... I kept my cool and looked away (I'm christian and don't really think it is right to stare)

The rest of the class I had complete mush brains, [http://www.thelondonpaper.com/thelondonpaper/news/london/news/researchers-talking-to-women-makes-men-thick] I was just utterly freaked out by the experience because I hadn't really had this happen before (Homeschooled) Now I have to sit next to her in class for the rest of the term (NOT COMPLAINING) but I find myself severely distracted in class at times.

Who else has this happened to? Discuss.

(PS if anyone has tips on how a tall, skinny, shy guy could go about befriending this lady, would be nice... =D)
My friend, we've all had those experiences. Though I'm not really the person to go to for dating advice, may I suggest being funny. If you can make her laugh you're in, or so I've been told.

Oh yeah, better post on topic.... Ossian, it seems that you have a problem that a lot of males have, and those who don't have this problem often come across as arrogant jerks (in my opinion!!!). The best way is to talk to her like she is a normal person and that you just want to be friends, study together or type of thing... These things never happen quickly and you need to have patience because you are dealing with something that is a mystery to those that call ourselves males. Just take it slow and she will respect you, and that is what you want if a relationship is what you are looking for!

you say that like its a bad quality, well, shyness is, but I can tell from experience, girls prefer skinny and tall. They really don't like fat.

Actually try talking to her, that might be start. Other than that, best of luck.

just train your peripheral vision. That way you can stare without it looking like you are staring. Humans have a nearly 180 degree field of vision. I have been training myself.

I bet this post makes me seem really weird...

One time I got naughty thoughts about this girl in my Spanish class. Well it wasn't even naughty thoughts I had a headache and felt all woozy but it went to naughty thoughts very quickly. But then she left the room and my headache went away and then she came back and my headache came back.

But it's only happened once, so maybe she was just overloading on pheromone production at the time.

I have a girlfriend (YAY!) so if I am in the mood for boobs, I can go get some...but even still the female body is the most seductive force in the world for men. A few choice words, some skin, and we will be eating out of the palm of your hand.

Try just talking to the girl. Act normal, don't stare, but the occasional glance is fine. If you two have that connection, you'll probably end up together soon. Congrats on not staring at her chest, by the way :p

Actually.
Demisexuals can be attracted to both sexes.
As I stated it's not about the body, it's about our emotional bond.
You're just mentally evolved that way. Us straight teenage males are usually quite hypnotized by boobs.

And because I have to ask, I suppose porn does nothing for you, then?

Heh, this story made me laugh.

Anyways man, just be confident. You said you're shy, try and tone it down a little if you could... that goes back to the confidence thing, you are obviously capable of striking up a conversation with her so just keep at it. And don't worry too much about your appearance, girls are more into a guy because of his character then appearance, well.... as long as you are totally dirt gross and ugly at least.

And the fact you have two classes with her is already a go ahead. When I was in school the best way to get a girl to meet you away from class is with the good old "we should study together sometime" method. And when you do meet, actually study, but also keep casual conversation going too when you are taking a break or something. Eventually she may just come to like you.

Female I take it? if that is the case you just possibly cannot understand. And It isn't JUST her chest that fried my optics.

If your a dude... You should be ashamed of yourself, or I should admire your gift.
Lol... I like this kid. There you go..... confidence.

QFT

They start to seem less special when you realize there is more than six billion of them on the earth.

A bit off topic, but I don't get why people say things like "breasts are over sexualized in western society. Maybe if people weren't so afraid of the human body and saw it as a natural thing, rather than a sexual thing, it wouldn't be a problem."

I'm sorry, but who doesn't want to sexualize breasts?

I mean, life would suck if every time I saw a naked girl I was like "meh, its a natural thing"

Seriously people!
We agree on something for once.
However, you have to admit that people that focus completely on sex are well...not nice...I can't think of a word to describe it.
Actually according freud we are mostly driven by sex.
"Freud is also renowned for his redefinition of sexual desire as the primary motivational energy of human life," - quote from his wikipedia page
Freud is also renowned for creating fanciful theories based solely on his own beliefs, with no possible way to verify them :)

Sorry, studying psychology, had to be said
Yup, that's what I was going to say. Didn't he also theorize that every man was in some way sexually attracted to his own mother? Ewww...

Some girls just like to flirt and preen.

I know one girl who loved thrusting her chest out. And kept bragging about her size "oh, its so hard to find size 8 dresses".

Turns out durring year 12 she was having an affair with a married man. Who then dumped her 3 years later for a younger girl (he was like 30).

Ha.
