From my understanding, she is aging, just very, very slowly. Does this mean she could live to be over a thousand? Or will she die at what would be a normal age, but still only have the mindset of a child and body of a toddler?

I don't think that's it.

I'm pretty sure the child aged normally for a certain period of time, then just stopped. Her body isn't growing anymore. It just preserves itself, unlike the body of a normal human which grows. So she will die once her cells stop multiplying, just like any other human.

Just because she doesn't mature doesn't necessarily mean she's not going to age, right?

I mean, we're talking as if she's frozen in time, but it must be a hormonal growth issue. I'm as hopeful for a fountain of youth as anyone, but I don't think this is it. We're just talking about someone who's "developmentally retarded" in the physical sense.

But hey, I'm not a medical science type. I could easily be wrong.

See my earlier post. Development and growth is not the same process as senescence (the gradual degradation of the body over time, often used interchangably with "aging"). This girl's growth seems to be retarded. This is probably completely unrelated to the factors that cause senescence. It's too early to tell if she's suffering from senescence yet, but it's overwhelmingly likely.

She's not growing at all and is mentally retarded, I can only imagine the hell she must go through each day.

If she has the mindset of a toddler, she's probably unaware of most her day to day life. I know when I was a toddler, the whole world was a truly amazing place. Glad no one decided to give up on me and just put me down. Yes, she could be living a nightmare, but she could also be living a truly amazing life in her own little world where everything is magical and beautiful. Only she would know for sure.

Ignorance is bliss as they say. Or hell. Either one.

she has not been diagnosed with mental retardation or a deformed body. but then again maybe you with your obvious knowledge in the medical field can prove doctors around the world wrong?

Yes, I used the incorrect scientific terms, I know. But you'll forgive me for not being a biology major. Facts are still facts (if that was a true story).

We have an individual who's brain is not able of absorbing and adapting information (proven by the fact that in 16 years of life she still has a mind of a toddler). And who's body is "frozen" on the stage of the infant(If i got it right from OP she hasnt grown at all since her birth).

Great, until you consider that her parents will die long before she ever grows up. Meaning that they have to find foster parents for a child that will likely remain a child for about 50 years, 100 years tops. So even if she does grow up, and is extremely long lived, she will likely have some pretty serious issues.
