Wow, that ruins more than you would expect in my character sheet, thanks :p.

Will this rule be lifted after a certain part of the story, or will we have to be heroes all day, every day?
That is a... difficult question to answer, with the basic outline of the plot that I've already set up. I'm not looking for people to be already inclined towards being a hero or villain: I want more or less normal/neutral characters right now.

@CounterAttack: Will we be allowed to at least be involved with the gangs, especially for backstory and internal conflict? I had been hoping to have my character be involved with the Brands in the past, even carrying the mark, but torn between his current life and the pressure of his old loyalties.

Well, I'm screwed then. My plan for the character I'm rolling (Timothy Medina) was for him to be a irritable, pretentious, introverted douchecanoe, and because of that, the only option that made any real sense would be villainy. In doing so, though, I wanted to kick him down that route with a few character moments so that I could dissect the (false?) dichotomy of heroes and villains.

The more I think about it, the more I feel I may actually just want to go ahead and say I am playing Noel instead of Arnold. I have more ideas for her and I think she'd do more to compliment the other characters submitted so far.

Works for me, dude. I was planning on considering both of them equally and then choosing one or the other. =)

@CounterAttack: While we're all talking about sheets, is there anything about Adam that needs changing or doesn't fit with the city/game world?

I really liked the idea behind Arnold, but the problem with him is that he'd be too reliant on other characters to push and motivate him early on. Noel's is a woman of action and would suffer no such complications :D

Name: Christian Hansen

Age: 23

Sex: Male

Appearance: Five foot ten and quite muscular causing him to be just over two hundred founds. He is has short orange hair and a shorter beard that stretches across much of his face. His eyes are a bright green. He wears quite a bit of flannel, his usual leather jacket, and usually jeans.

Personality: Christian is a drinker, a brawler, and a joker. While it may not seem like it when you speak to him initially, he has a quite a creative mind which has been is greatest asset in the fields of learning as he has a marked incompetence when it comes to mathematics or science not at all aided by the fact that he spends little time working at things he doesn?t enjoy and prefers spending the time at whatever bar his buddies are at. He has a very incredibly short fuse.

Biography: He was born in Virginia on a dairy farm where he spent the first eighteen years of his life. Throughout middle school he passed from school to school fighting with just about anyone who looked at him funny and barely tried in the classes that did not interest him, which was most of them, but he did have his own circle of friends that had similar traits. His parents greatly disapproved of his behavior but they were loving people and used most of their money trying their best to push him through private high school so he could have a decent education. But because of this he was exposed to many incredibly wealthy children who less than accepting of the lower middle class farmer going to the same school as them. He was too appreciative of what his parents did for him to fight these kids with his fists so he tried his hardest to do better than them out of spite. He let go of his aggression and his general laziness for the people who gave birth to him and treated him so well through his childhood and he used a developing fixation on film to keep his mind off his problems at school. These traits came roaring back in the year after he graduated. He quickly developed an addiction to alcohol which his father was also afflicted with, but managed to over come. Christian hasn?t cared enough to try just yet. This exacerbated his problem with handling disagreements peacefully. After a year off he attempted to go to college just as his parents had always wanted him to do. He was quickly booted out after getting in a violent brawl at the school resulting in the severe injury of the other participant. He couldn?t bare not making it into a university, in his mind, wasting all the money that was put into his high school education so he continuously sent out application after application. But was denied again and again. Just as he was about to give up he got a letter in the mail. From Goldmar University. He had finally been accepted. Where he would be allowed to live his dream of studying cinema so he could finally be apart of the industry some day. Once there he worked with a councilor before deciding to pick up boxing to keep his less than savory habits in check. Now for the first time in his life he is happy in all aspects of his life. He has friends, has cut back the drinking severly(though it is still quite a lot) and is learning about something he has a passion for at long last. Because of this he has been keeping more or less stable but his stability is fragile. Just waiting for something to push him back into harmful drinking and pointless violence that he has fallen back into every time he has been given an excuse to no matter how flimsy.

Heres mine. Always been worse at the sheet than just playing.

Name: Arthur Roberts

Age: 19

Appearance: Arthur has short dark hair, well kept and almost never messy. He's Caucasian and slim, standing about six feet even. His eyes are a cold blue with a boring quality when he stares. Overall, he is quite clean, it's rare to find him out of sorts or unkempt. Most often, he wears plain long sleeved shirts and jeans in muted colors. Other than that, he wears glasses, giving him an intelligent air, but also adding to his condescending appearance when he looks down on people.

Personality: Frequently stressed, frequently nervous, and frequently angry. A quiet artist dedicated to his work. Arthur is a musician who spends much of his time working on his craft. What free time he does have is dedicated to reading, playing games and listening to music. Arthur has few friends because of his strong work ethic and chilly personality. He has trouble dealing with things when they go off course, but refuses to let it affect him, as much as he can. Without realizing it, he's fairly rude, often looking down on people he deems beneath him.

Biography: Arthur was never really popular. From a young age, he was singled out, picked on, and bullied. He buried his feelings about that as well as he could, trying to keep the taunts of the other children from affecting him. He failed. His parents tried to cure this by signing Arthur up for as many activities as they could: soccer, basketball, hockey, baseball. Nothing came of any of it. It was only when he began taking piano lessons that the young boy discovered his passion.

He spent years training as a pianist, always pushing himself harder. People were distant to him, and his main source of enjoyment came from perfecting his craft. By the time high school rolled around, Arthur was the school's best musician, and a better pianist than some of the instructors. His skill gained him some small fame and attention from various classmates, which he tried to avoid as much as he could. After being so long an outcast, the attention of others was unwelcome to the young man.

A few years later, he enrolled in Goldmar University, majoring in Accounting and Music. The better part of his education was paid for in scholarships, principally his music scholarship, but some of it was covered by a few academic scholarships he picked up. Little about his life changed until the winter of 2012 when he first began to notice things about himself, changes he could never have imagined possible...

Alright, here is my sheet for the RP

Name: Ryan Grayson

Age: 23

Sex: Male

Appearance: Ryan is a normal-looking guy with short, croppy, brown hair, and gray eyes. He stands at 6'0' and weighs 180lbs. Ryan doesn't have the most muscular build, but he does have a more toned body than most. For clothing, you can see Ryan wearing plain t-shirts or futball jerseys of Manchester United, as well as a pair of blue jean pants, or sweatshorts, depending on the weather. When it gets cold, Ryan will wear a hoodie with a small Manchester United emblem right above his heart, and a red scarf. Footwear wise, Ryan wears sneakers all the time.

Personality: Ryan is an outgoing guy. He likes talking to people and keep conversations going, but he sometimes doesn't know when to close his mouth, which will get people annoyed with him sometimes. Ryan will also pop a joke every now and then to lighten the mood up when needed. He also has the talent of knowing what to say and when to say it, which leads to him being a good person to console with. If Ryan sees you down on your luck, he will do what he can to pull you back up. Even though he is outgoing, he does prefer to have one-on-one conversations as opposed to larger groups. He believes more sincere words and actions come from the less number of people around. When Ryan begins to get his blood pumping through playing sports or doing manual labor, he will start to act a tad crazy and begin to hop up and down and try to get more people to participate. One thing that Ryan does go overboard with is challenges. If someone challenges Ryan, or vice-versa, he takes it to the extreme with trying his damndest at whatever the challenge is, no matter how mundane or unusual. This tends to have people get upset with him, due to Ryan taking the fun out of the competition at times. Overall, Ryan is a cool guy that helps his friends out and has a determined and crazy side to him.

Biography: Ryan was born to a couple in Manchester, England. He spent his early years playing pee-wee soccer and attending grade-school. His parents treated him fine, but did require him to have good grades throughout middle-school. Thanks to his parents, he became quite good at time-management. While in middle-school, his parents thought it would be be a good idea for Ryan to learn some self-defense, at least to give him a way to fight back if in trouble, so they enrolled him into karate class. Even though he studied for years, he is by no means a master, he has just enough skills to get him by. Growing up in Manchester and playing soccer, it became quite apparent which team he went for, and so with his free time, he would go watch the home games and see if he could pick up any techniques from the pros. In the off season, Ryan would play the occasional video game, but with the sudden rise of computer technology, Ryan found a new interest. When his parents bought a computer, he wanted to know everything about it, from software to hardware. So after he felt he learned just enough karate, he dis-enrolled from the class and began surfing the web on doing research on computer science and technology.

During high-school, however, Ryan had little time for this due to the higher demand from soccer and academics. This may have seemed like a negative at the time, but Ryan did become one of the top players on his varsity team, and made great grades. One interesting story in high school was that on a winter day, he and a fellow classmate, got into an argument over who was better, Manchester United or Liverpool. A small fight ensued with neither side winning. Instead, Ryan's soccer coach pulled them apart, and came up with a compromise, whoever wins a 1-vs-1 game of soccer can proclaim their own team as the best. Somewhat surprised that they weren't sent to the principal's office, the two readily agreed, after giving each other the evil eye of course. They played for a little over an hour, and after a grueling match, Ryan ultimately came out on top. To keep the coach happy, the two kids shook hands, but give each other a fake smile, hard handshakes, and evil glares. Other than that, Ryan's high school life was pretty great, with no major problems or setbacks.

The news of people with strange powers and abilities began to surface during his latter time in high school. Ryan didn't pay too much attention to it, believing that it was all a hoax; some kids playing with camera effects. However, more reports started streaming in and Ryan wanted to know what was up, so he did some research, but sadly didn't find too much; just that no one knew where the powers came from, and that these "superheroes and Supervillians" could become a problem with the police and populace. However, due to graduation, and plans for the future, Ryan couldn't dwindle on these new phenomenons.

With great grades and good talent as a soccer player, Ryan finding a college wasn't the problem, but where the college was located became the question. Ryan felt as if he lived in England for long enough, and figured going state-side would change the scenery and give him a fresh start. So he started applying to colleges and universities across the pond, and the first letter back was from Goldmar University. Due to his grades and soccer skills, Ryan landed a good scholarship. Although it wouldn't pay for everything, it meant that money wasn't going to be as big of an issue. His parents payed for the ticket, helped him pack his bags, and wished him good luck. As he started settling in, he learned that the states seemed to be having more issues with these superheroes and villians. As fate would have it, Silverhallow had its own group of special humans. Ryan became intrigued by these beings, but didn't really feel like it warranted going out and accidently finding trouble. Nevertheless, Ryan found that with new land and possibilities, Ryan could now focus on his interest of computer technology. Ryan now lives on-campus, mostly rides his bike to wherever he needs to go, majors in Computer Science, and plays on the universities soccer team.

Notes:
Ryan has a heavy British accent
Basic karate skills

As always, criticism is welcome, and if you see any problems, I will fix the immediately. Hey Counter, let's see if I will be able to get into this one.

On a side note, when I read your (counterattack) character's bio and saw that you were working at some cafe, I couldn't help but think that would become the hangout/hideout for the group in between engagements/missions, episodes or what-have-you.

<spoiler=Adrian Lang>Name:Adrian (Al) Lang
Age:21
Sex:Male

Appearance:Adrian is an Asian Canadian who stands at 5 feet and 7 inches, with green eyes. His hair is black, short and barely reaches past his ears; cut around them and his bang. His physique is stout with muscles visible, preferring to wear simple clothing, baring no marks of a specific brand or symbol.
Depending on the weather he would usually be seen in long shorts and shirt from the mid 40 degrees and up, or thicker clothing when appropriate. He owns a few jackets and business suits from his father, with the jackets being practical and with pockets, and the suits tailor made but old.

Personality:Adrian is the kind of person who is ?cruel to be kind?, he?s not cold and distance, but tends to be impatient and easily exasperated with people. Going through periods bordering bipolar disorder, he is afraid to feel hope in a world he views as failing; which isn?t helped by the ?super beings? appearing.
The friend he?s made are far and few between, those that get to know him will find a loyal friend always willing to lend a helping hand like a big brother (for better or worse).

BiographyBorn in Vancouver as the youngest of a family of 5, Adrian grew up well enough, his father was a middleman for shipping and manufacturing from Hong Kong to the States and Canada, while his mother was a French Canadian, being taught baking and other culinary at the time by family.
Eventually for reasons unknown to him his parents divorced while he was 12, his brother Jean (17), and his sister Catherine (18). His father moved to the States, going to the East Coast to New York, bringing Adrian and Jean with him, while his mother moved back to France taking Catherine. While the divorce and moving apart was difficult, the family maintained good, if a bit strained relationships. Often spending winter, or summer break on either side of the Atlantic Ocean.
As he grew, so did the distance between family, trips between became fewer, and fewer. His mother came to eventually own a restaurant and cafe locally, with his sister following in her footsteps, his father began to manage and take a more executive roles in his business, his brother moved on to become a stock broker, and gained moderate success. Each of his family had excelled or rose above average, and while they took like fish to water to where they were, Adrian felt isolated.
He felt more at home in Canada and missed the peace there, while New York left him feeling misplaced, voicing his complaints to his father around 17, and spending the better part arguing until he graduated, they compromised. Moving to Michigan and attending Goldmar University in the city of Silverhollow, Adrian set his goals to study and work his way to becoming a lawyer, taking classes in business on the side.
It was close enough that he could go to Canada easily, and far enough to not deal with the vibrant city of New York. He was happy enough, given a modest budget to draw on from his father, and even playing the stocks through his brother?s aid. He had managed to get a decent apartment in the Stonefalcon district, close enough so that he could get to the university easily, and enjoy the place in general. Often his brother or sister would visit, one bringing gifts of wealth, the other dominating his kitchen to try out new recipes and ideas.
As 2012 rolled around and news of people with amazing or mind boggling powers emerged, Adrian grew nervous, whiles classmates spoke of heroes and villains, with changes to laws and more, he kept thinking that the world was coming to an end, and a smaller part of him thought what good it could be used for.
Notes:
-His apartment in Stonefalcon is within biking distance of the university, and features the usual for a single person, save for a metal cabinet. Reinforced and locked, it contains 30 rounds of .338 Winchester Magnums, and a Model 70 Alaskan Winchester bolt-action rifle. Used primarily for hunting, he has a similar gun in Canada, and uses the one in Michigan to practice at ranges.
-He also has a small vault in it that contains personal documents.
-Speaks English, Passable French, and enough Mandarin/Kantonese that he can get by.

For your review and consideration, comments are welcome.

Heh. A rather astute comment. That may be the case, or it may not. All in good time.

Out of curiosity, if someone requested a secondary power, but got something they didn't like, could they just decline getting a secondary power instead of asking for a re-roll? Or, decline the 2nd power if they don't like the results of either rolls?
