He was truly a visionary.

EDIT: Oh fine, just to be on topic: Uhhh...Abe Lincoln.
There.
Abe Lincoln set the precident of a president ignoring the constitution. Everything Bush did, was based on Lincoln. Lincoln set budgets and spent money without the approval of Congress. He ordered the suspention of the right to trial and imprisioned thousands without trial. It can also be argued that the way he handled the politics caused the war.

I guess that means you are a Bush supporter eh?
I'm not sure if you could really make an argument that he caused the war considering that the South seceded before he actually took office.

Anyways, my list would probably be:
1. Abe Lincoln
2. FDR
3. George Washington
4. Thomas Jefferson
5. James K. Polk

By the way, if you don't know who Polk is, look him up. Everything he said he was going to do during his campaign, he actually did during his presidency. And the only reason he wasn't elected to office a second time was he hated the job and didn't run.

Also, for the record, I'd put Kennedy somewhere in the top 10.
Are you aware of the James K. Polk song?

Edit: Personally, I have to go with FDR for my number one because of how he kept the country going through a depression and a war. He literally worked himself to death. The only president who's had to deal with as much crap as FDR was Lincoln, who would probably be my second favorite.

While all of that is true, Lincoln had a cause to do it for, a split nation. What was Bush's cause? Terrorism? You can't fight an ideology. But you are absolutely right about Lincoln during the Civil War. Just, I don't like comparing him to George Bush. Bush wanted to "save" Iraq, which had nothing to do with 9/11. But whatever, he hopefully will never be anyone's favorite president.
I blame George H.W. Bush, he had Saddam cornered. Same with Clinton, when we actually knew where Osama was. 9/11 had nothing to do with iraq, but terrorists in iraq are part of the Al-Qaeda network, as is Somalia, Yemen and Iran

the greatest president cannot be determined, some presidents had it easier than others.

but if pressed i'll go with a 3 way tie between lincoln, FDR, and Raegan

Teddy Roosevelt was our best president by far. Big fan of walk quietly carry a big stick. He basically turned the US into a super power and got us the panama canal. He was shot in the middle of a speech finished the speech and then recieved medical care.

"It takes more then a bullet to stop a bull moose"

Reagan was our second best because he fixed the problem that jimmy carter got us into. Then finally set us up with a system to return us to the constitution.

Worse pres is FDR and his federal government power grab.

What is it that makes Abe Lincoln so spectacular? I never really got the point of that.

Sure he freed some slaves and won the Civil war. But after that he basically said, hey, all you southern guys are welcome back into our country, especially since you hate us.

No one has done what FDR did...which was bringing our country straight out of the depression and turning it basically completely around!
You say he freed the slaves and won the Civil war like it was no big deal. I think the 30,000 or so blacks living in America would like a word with you.

Secondly, Lincoln was damn smart to be gentle on the South after the war. His plan would have made reconstruction a hell of a lot smoother for the south, but then he was assasinated, and his succesor Andrew Johnson punished the south harshly. The result? The birth of the KKK and a hatred of the North that would last over a century.
I'm saying that his accomplishments are pretty much insignificant compared to FDR's accomplishments as president. Besides, FDR exited the White House as the most popular president of all time; Lincoln was assassinated.
