In Team Fortress 2, I was playing as Engineer with Mini sentry, and I changed my name which was originally 'Doctor Fantastic' to 'Doctor Fantastic and Ogburn' I explained to everyone that Ogburn was my sentry's name and they would get to know him more as we played.

Before long, everyone was referring to him by name.

Like: 'I killed Ogburn! TWICE'

Or, 'Can we get Ogburn up here to help us?'

I typed in congratulations to him when he killed someone like 'nice shooting Ogburn!'
I don't know... everyone seemed to have fun with it.

EDIT: Keep in mind I'm a good Engie and lead the team, I wasn't just messing around.

Good one, but I would go for 'my [body part]' for added hilarity. Hair if you feel romantic, 'other' parts if you don't!

The names he's given Tidus and the Aeons are immature, but admit it. They're hilarious.
If you want, skip to 03:00 for the actual boss fight.

Wow you sure have used a lot of funny names for your characters.

And to add on my Criminal Scum character, I also made a Character class with the same name.
Birth sign: Sign of the shadow.
Favored attributes: Speed and agility
Favored character type: Stealth
7 character skills: Security, stealth, marksman, acrobatics, armorer, athletics and blade.

So now you can be a "Criminal Scum yourself.

"Hold it there you Criminal Scum, know one breaks the law on my watch"

I never do this. Like, ever. I get way too sentimentally immersed in any game, and it kills it whenever I don't have the right name.

Misread the thread.
If you're irish and someone tells you "The gards(guards)know your name", it would mean you are known to the police.
Far more exciting...
Ninja'd, bizarrely.

Not so much funny as clever, (at least, I think it was clever...) but I named my Fallout 3 character Alice; as in Alice in the Wasteland.
