Very entertaining, and sorry but that's the only proper way to say it.

Metro 2033 by Dmitrij gluchovskij

200 years after the nuclear war that destroyed the world you follow Artiom on his mission to save the only survivors left in the world in the Moskva metro from an unknown mutant threat.

You should really check this out. It's a new book that has gotten very good reviews and i personally thought it was the best sci-fi book i have ever read.

I just got done reading "The Way of the Shadows". Sound's pretty good, right? That's what I thought when I picked it up. All the books had Assassin's Creed-esque cover art, which is what caught my attention. But it was actually another fantasy book, yet I still was interested enough to buy it.

It is, by far, the worst book I have ever read. The character is an effing wimp, which you would think be the case of the "humble beginnings" of the hero, but he never truly grows out of it. The "Master" for the wimp is just a big douchebag. The whole world's economy doesn't make a damn bit of sense. There isn't a any consistency that the author will stand by. Pretty much, the author wanted it to "look cool", he dressed it up and gave it a name that he thought was cool, but really, the whole book is just pretending to the end. And, in my book, it's just a piece of shit.
Thanks for the tip, that was on my list of possible purchases. I'll give it pass now, I think, I hate it when the central character is a wimp in books like that. Similar disappointment in Robin Hobs Assassin trilogy. Main character isnt necessarily a wuss, but he's TERRIBLE at his job.

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown.

It was awsome as always but if you've read one, you've read them all.

I'm reading Neuromancer, which, like the last book of his I read, makes little if any sense so far, but that's just from having read the first five pages. Before that it was Animal Farm, one of the greatest anthropomorphic commentaries on the political world, which is a small genre mind you

My last book was "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal." Before that I read "Going Postal" by Terry Pratchett.

I just finished off The Sandman series of graphic novels by Neil Gaiman.

If they don't count, then Unseen Academials by Terry Pratchett.

The Visual Display of Quantitative Information by Tufte. A really interesting, downright beautiful book.
