"Well Miffy's already been separated, I think we need to do a better job of sticking together and paying attention to our surroundings. If someone's wants to see if there's anything in that chest, we all should go over. What do you think Bilkin?"

"It's Bildin..." Bildin said as his voice began to trail off. He slowed and began to stare at the chest. There was something indescribable about it that caught his attention. It seemed normal enough, at first glance. Slightly splintered wood, broken brass lock, nothing out of the ordinary, but it seemed to draw him to it. He could tell that he wasn't the only one, for the human seemed to be staring at it as well.

Separating from the group for a moment, he approached the unassuming chest. "I know this game," he thought to himself as he neared it. Walking around it, he approached the back of the wooden container, which faced the rest of the group, and pulled it open, currently unable to see what was inside.

"Sorry," Artemis replies, and follows Bildin as he approaches the chest, keeping to the side of the small chamber.

Miffy took a deep breath, " Alright Mifaim Shadowflight, you're going to go through that door and do what you do best, kill people and rob them blind."
He extinguished his torch, letting his eyes grow accustomed to the dark and took out his dagger, and as quitely as he could, opened the door and sneak in attempting to get the element of suprise. Ready to lunge at the first enemy he saw.

Bildin opened the chest to discover sacks. From open tops, he could tell they were filled with gold. Doing a quick head count, he wagered it was about three hundred coins worth. Quite the find. In addition there were three bubbling blue Mana potions and one green one he recognized as a Stamina potion.

The hairs on the back of Miffy's neck stood up as he saw a hive of festering Imps. The vines all dark, shimmering as though they were some kind of mix between metal and crystal. As he looked, the vines began to stir.

From the ball of dark vine, vines snapped off and took the form of three Imps.

To the left of the hive of Festering Imps, which is in the right corner, is a hall leading to a right turn.

Faced with the three opponents who have just emerged, he can choose to strike the one to the left, right, or center.

He'll need to kill the main vine ball to stop more of them emerging, but won't be able to with these Imps in his way.

"Of course," Bildin stated to the group. First, he pulled the potions out of the chest. "Here, you take two," he said as he handed two of the blue potions to the troll, who took them with a friendly grunt. He tied the other mana potion to the sash at his waist to accompany the bubbly one he received earlier. Finally, he left the stamina potion on the ground for whoever wanted it.

Now for the gold. The sacks would probably spill in his bag, and just throwing the coins in would be just as unorganized. "One of you give me a hand," he said as he closed the chest and began to lift it into his bag. "Trust me, it'll be a lot lighter if we can get it in there.

The chest can fit in the bag. Think of the chest "bending" as it nears the magical bag so it can fit inside.

The small creature, being cut clean in half, died. The vines it was composed have no longer wound together, they withered and died.

Miffy could attempt to lunge for the Vine Ball, or continue with his melee with the Festering Imps offspring.

Meanwhile, Bildin and co managed to magically fit the chest into the sack.

Miffy dropped the dead imp and regained his balance. He then drew his leg up and kicked the nearest Imp as hard as he could to get it off balance, then spun bringing his knife around to to stab at the Vine Ball.

I didn't change my action just added some more flourish to it.

Siskan watched bemusedly as the gnome wrestled the chest into the sack. Having never before seen such a magical item. He stifled a laugh as the gnome became buried in the sack past his shoulders. He looked at his own bulging bag of gear, one of those might come in handy, he thought.

Seeing that no one else seemed to want to be the first to advance down the corridor, Bildin decided to take the initiative and walked to the bend in the path. Taking a deep breath, he sneakily peeked around the corner. To an observer, it really wasn't that sneaky, since his foot-tall hat stuck out as he did so.

Following the gnome Njord also peered around the corner, but trying to look around without crushing Bildin caused him to lose his balance and stumble out right in to middle of the corridor.

Shaking his head at how poorly his companions are sneaking around, Artemis sets down his torch, notches an arrow to his bow and silently steps to the far side of the corridor, wondering to himself if all of the noise is drawing monsters to their location.

The group advanced, and around the left turn was a dead-end of stone.

One particular stone, to the bottom left of the wall at the end of the corridor to the left, seems to have an unusual air about it. It would seem to work as a mechanism.

"Alright Njord, seems like a good time to go back to our original plan. You up front and see what you can do with that mechanism, Bildin and I will stay back a little bit and see what happens, and Sisk can watch our backs."

"A fantastic idea!" Bildin exclaimed, overly dramatically. "After you Njord," he said as he stepped back a few feet and leaned on his staff. His bag, now filled with a enormous wooden chest, was slung around his shoulder and bounced weightlessly against his waist as he walked.

sighing "Just like anyone without a warriors spirit, shrinking in the face of possible danger. But since I am the great Njord Akselson, The Wolf, I'll valiantly go were your cowardice does not." Njord walked up to the wall and kicked the stone, when that didn't do anything he tried pulling on it.

At the rate at which our story is currently moving, we're going nowhere fast. I think we should all chose a specific period in the day, say two hours, where we all post and advance the story for the day. Then we won't have these two hour breaks between posts like we do now.
