The kind that thinks games should play themselves (or that it's acceptable to get others to hold their hand through them), difficulty is a sin, and competition will destroy the human race.

These are also the people who throw around the word "elitist" like it's an insult and can't grasp that some people actually have fun being competitive. Yeah, we get that you have fun too, we don't mind you having fun your way, but for all your complaining about how we can't seem to have fun, you guys sure do love dumbing everything down to the point that we can't find anything we would enjoy. You ever think maybe we're all so sour because you guys keep spoiling everything for us? Stop being so pathetic, grow a pair, and learn that a lot of the crap you complain about in games wouldn't be such a chore if you stopped whining long enough to pick up an ounce of skill and a grasp of basic logic.

Also these weak-willed babies that love crying about people who treat their opinions "as facts." It's called a strong opinion, at least they stand behind what they say. If you're going to take that kind of attitude then you have to be perfectly okay with the opinion that 9/11 was hilarious, women don't deserve any rights, blacks should go back into slavery, and Jesus looked his best with a **** in his mouth. After all they're only OPINIONS right? If you think any of those statements are wrong then get blown you hypocrite.

Note, the average xbox live douche yelling "f*g" at anything that displeases him is NOT what I mean by "competitive." If you get those mixed up, you are also the kind of person I'm talking about.

So basically:
Hazy

Akira Fumi (Either defend your opinion properly or don't bother saying it at all. If you can refute them, do it, if you can't, stop complaining. Oh boo hoo someone's feelings got hurt, wah. Get over it, get over yourself, form an opinion that's actually solid enough to stand up to some abuse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAWzkUur4tY)

Arcane Azmadi

wouldyoukindly99 (Why don't you practice? Not motivated? Stop complaining, they earned their skills. Don't care? Clearly you care enough to complain about it. Also, you're playing TF2 on PS3/360 and expect better?)

Anticitizen_Two (Elitist != close-minded moron)

Insanum (Smacktalk is the whole reason to play multiplayer. What's the fun in winning if you can't show off? Also, stop saying good game after every damn game as a reflex and save it for the good ones.)

Jfswift (Turning off a mic is a great way to get people to respect your ability to help the team to victory. Gg is probably the most annoying thing in video games these days. Your "courtesy" is reflexive, and thus disrespectful. It's a cheap cop-out to make yourself seem like a "nice guy" when you're really only serving yourself. I'd much prefer you not say anything at all if you aren't going to take the time to actually be cool and have some post game chat. It's this attitude that you can't take criticism and have fun at the same time that is the reason they can't have fun. Don't confuse criticism with baseless attacks. The whole point of criticism is to point out flaws so the person can IMPROVE. You are not helping the noobs by shielding them from the big bad pro player, you are stifling their growth and turning them into pathetic gibbering emotional balloons.)

Legion IV

NoblePhilistineFox (Basing your worth as a human being on whether or not you've reentered a vagina since birth doesn't mean a whole lot when you can find prostitutes that cost less than the average video game.)

Regiment (And books are just big walls of text, and movies are just a bunch of dumb moving pictures, and art is just stupid useless crap we do when we're really bored, etc. Also, your expectations are too high for TF2. You're playing on PS3 after all.)

GunlockerGlock (Saddens me to see such a post with a CT avatar attached, but you "fun" guys are just as bad. You can't stand to have anyone even try to take a game seriously because it makes it obvious how bad you are and you can't either A) get over it and accept that you're bad or B) be bothered to try not being so bad, so you try to shut us down and take that "games are toys" attitude like Regiment.)

fat tony (You know, some people think playing with people who can actually give them a challenge is more fun than playing with target practice.)

rune342 (It is possible to know WHAT to do, and simply be bad at doing it.)

AverageJoe (Wow, just everything about your post. Clearly there are people who are gamers and people who are not, so it's not really hard to believe that people meet that "gamer" description to different levels, and therefore that are people that are more deserving of the title. Newer is not always better, do you have any idea how many new ideas are tried and fail miserably? Newer is SOMETIMES better, but clearly you can't see the difference between a person aware of this FACT and the very rare retro fanboy. I have no doubt you equate any fond talk for anything older than the current generation to "nostalgia." You ever think maybe people are such dicks in multiplayer because you deserve to be acted like a dick toward? People rarely expect others to be excellent, they expect them to TRY, which I don't think is an unfair expectation, but then I guess you don't handle any sort of expectation well. Bitter that you're not in the intelligent crowd? Probably the reason they don't WANT to be your friend. Because there's nothing wrong with you and anyone who doesn't want to be your friend must be stupid amirite? For hating people that are cynical and pessimistic, you're awfully cynical and pessimistic yourself. I guess that means you hate yourself? Would explain why you're so cynical and pessimistic. Oh, circular reasoning, how fun you are! Lol, someone who doesn't socialize calling people shut-ins with no friends. What a waste of such perfectly good cynicism. You've got the right attitude, just directed at all the wrong targets.)

Slayer_2 (There's a difference between advice and moronic backseat gaming. Telling you to dodge bullets is not advice, it's idiocy.)

Reaper69lol (What's wrong, smugness makes you insecure? I love people that are smug. Only when they're smug for good reason. Delusions of skill when they have none is annoying, but that's not the same as smug. Modesty is just as bad.)

BryceN (And that is precisely why they don't respect you. You're a quitter, they can sense that, and frankly you deserve to be driven out if you won't man up and take the heat.)

I read every post, so if I didn't mention you then you're cool.

In b4 banned for life. Go right ahead mods, just leave the post readable. Censors are worse than anything else I've mentioned.

A perfect example of everything I personally loath about gaming/gamers and the reason that (TF2 and Champions Online aside) I do not play multiplayer games.

While I'd prefer that you grew some skin, I suppose not having to deal with you at all is marginally better than having you take up a slot just to whine.

Fanboys.

Any complaint about a game is suddenly "stop whining" or equally as stupid "QQ" Cause apparently the game is so, so perfect without any flaws at all.

Also, blaming every death on lag.

A: Elitists, B: My brother, C: People who not only care about nothing but winning, but yell at me for not helping them.

i hate to say it because all of you will rag on me for it. and that is "halo gamers" the kind that only play halo and have there eyes for no other game the kind of people that just never got over master chef (i know what his name is but i refuse to say it). the people that only own a console so they can play god damn halo. i think halo has to be one of the top 3 worst things to ever happen to gaming

People who find any excuse to talk away their failings. If you 'can't play right' because your computer/mouse/lag/whatever is that bad, how about don't play until you fix it?

Worst type of gamer of all time is easily the stoner/drunk guy. They will be atrocious at the game without exception, will weaken the team by feeding away advantage to the opposition and simply will not give a shit.

Nothing is their fault. They're just drunk.

0-20 stats? lol yeah I'm drunk.

Do not play the damn game. Especially not online.

I hate the gamers where every time you beat them they come up with some petty excuse as to why your kill shouldn't count.

Me: *Kills the other guy*
Him: Zomg cheap
Me: *Kills him again*
Him: Ur cheating!
Me: *Gets killed*
Me: Nice Shot
Me: *Kills him*
Him: ZOMFG U NOOB

Trust me, it's those people who make me quit online games. When I play online I want to have fun.

My best friend is pretty much everything posted in this thread. If he kills you it's skill and gets in your face, if you kill him it's luck and swears for 5 minutes. If you're on his team and the team is losing 98% of times it's your fault for not doing what he says, if the team is winning it's thanks to his brilliance and pure awesomeness. He also gets obsessed over MMORPGs. A few years ago we were playing Lineage 2 and he used to wake me up at 8 AM to go farm, basically turning a game into a 14 hour/day job but without the pay. I quit after four days of this crap. The guy is also a nostalgic and an "if you haven't played X you're not a gamer" elitist. So I guess he takes gold, silver, bronze and cake.

People who think that graphics are the be all and end all of everything. This also ties in with people who think that just because a game is new it automatically must be better than an older game.

I agree with this particularly angry fellow.
He's right, I'm fed up of every fucker accusing me of being "elitist" because I don't like PC games being dumbed down for consoles (Seriously, do you have to tell me the menu controls ALL THE TIME? I know it's enter to accept!)
So yeah, I'm taking that title. Elitist.
Elitist because we're elite! not 1337 though. That sucks. Does anyone say that anymore?

As a particularly feudal ************ might say, "Fuckest thou, peasant!"
A bit of good hearted competition never hurt anyone. And I love a challenge- STALKER on Master, or that battle on M&B:Warband I recently took part in- 90 of my men versus 1269 of the enemy. I at least saw it though to the end. As last stands go, it was actually pretty unimpressive, but I bet it could have caused some seriously awesome speeches.

[small]wow, that came out of nowhere.[/small]

I despise kid gamers online, this probably doesn't fit here, but my first, my very first online match of Halo 3 was completely destroyed because I had a 12 year old scream "pedophile!" in my ear for 10 mins. It killed online gaming for me, it took ten minutes, thanks you little piece of shit who got my back up. It was more shocking that I got offended in the first place I suppose.

And I can't hate on backseat gamers, I'm one of the worst while watching my BF play any game.

Xbox Live players. And MW2 players. (Even though I only played MW2 during the free weekend.)

I am completely honest, I have not met a single person there that you can have a normal discussion with. They all scream, *****, whine and are just generally retarded.

They made me cancel my Xbox Live account because I just couldn't take it anymore.
