When I was in second grade, my mother took out a movie from the library called Body Heat. I did not want to watch it, yet she promised me it was supposed to be really good.
The movie is about an affair during a heat wave and is filled with a copious amount of nudity and sex scenes, which I buried my head during all of. I just wanted the movie to be over with due to the extremely uncomfortable nature of it all.
After the movie, my mum and I were at the kitchen table where she blurts out, "You see Ben, never get involved with a woman strictly for sex." I nearly died. My parents and I never talked about sex at that point and I wanted to act like we never saw that movie together and it would all go away. While the moral she was trying to instill in me was solid, I don't think it was age appropriate.
