since I'm feeling uninspired, if I go by my ethnicity... probably the most unhealthy thing I've had has to be Chorizo.

The 30,000 calorie sandwich

Yes, those are mini doughnuts in there.
Oh jeez. That makes my arteries panic just by looking at it.

I am English, and most traditional foods here are bad for you, or good for you, depending on how you look at it. Doesn't this look great?

i could not even eat half of the stuff i bought i felt soo sick after eating the food no wonder you guys are chubby
Sissy :p

Most americans are chubby for the same reason so many euros and asians are packing on the poundage. We eat largely the same stuff our parents and grandparents ate(healthier versions though, oddly enough) but we spend most of our time sitting on our asses.
Oh my gawd! I'm sitting on my ass right now! How did you know? D:
It's my 13th sense, it's not as useful as the other 12 but it does come in handy once in a while. :D

In the U.S.A. where nothing is too greasy, too sugary, too salty. A land where deep frying is always a good idea and an average dinner has enough calories to choke a horse. A land where all-you-can-eat is a challenge, not an invitation.

I'd have to say everything

This was written in a thread asking for ideas for threads, and since I saw this one being put up I am going to proceed and create it.

Why?

Because of the fine Canadian delicacy known as poutine.

What is poutine? How could you make french fries more unhealthy? You! In the back! No, not slather it in mayonaise, that's Belgium (cookie for the reference, although it is a bit vague). How about gravy? And make it swim in the stuff. And why not add some cheese to it as well, your arteries can handle that much more cholesteral am I right?

The result of this mix is this:

And boy does it ever taste good.

you guys are amateur with this dish. we had more than 40 years to perfect it...

First, italian poutine, replace the gravy for spaghetti sauce. and of course, i prefer my poutine with bbq sauce rather than gravy.

If you ever visit Montreal, go the restaurant : La Banquise. they are specialised in poutine, and they have lot and lot of type of poutine. Essentially, you keep the base (french fry, gravy, cheese) but you add things.

http://www.restolabanquise.com/index.php?page=poutines&sp=&langue=an

my favorite is the T-Rex : Minced meat, pepperoni, bacon and smoked sausages.

just dont think how much calory you are eating and how much your colesterol level will raise :D

In it's defense though, it's only served in sweden during January, Febuary and a small portion of mars as a tradition.

Yes, this is real.
I tried poutine once, it was pretty good.
America also has the tendency to stick already unhealthy things in a deep fryer (Pizza, and candy bars come to mind), but I think we just copied the English in that respect.

is it weird that Ive made that? (the baconnaise)

Awsome my thread worked!
And my posted started this thread!

OT: Fat sandwiches from the Grease Trucks at Rutgers.

EDIT: Just remembered, Harold's in NY. They don't really bad food per se, but they make everything huge. They make sandwiches a foot high and just as wide as a normal sandwich; they make cakes 3 ft high and 2 ft wide. I love it.

It's not much, compared to the gastronomic blasphemies shown throughout, but I'd have to say our worst food (other than american fast food chains) is our chocolate. The sugar content is extreme, to say the least. I gave a yank mate of mine a 500g slab of our chocolate as part of a "welcome here" present, and he flipped out on sugar overload after a couple of small bites.

Oh, Americans have a desert called a Fruit Roll-up. Here they're considered (and advertised as) a healthy morning and afternoon snack for kids.

I love gravy and chips, man, never thought of using cheese on 'em, though.

Basically cheese on toast with beer and mustard mixed in, it's a great dish.

I live in the UK... everything is unhealthy. Even the banana's (I think). That's what the Daily Mail said anyway. You can trust the Daily Mail, right?
Yes oh trustworthy is the Daily Mail, in fact they said you should give me all your money and your soul.

I'd say a full English is pretty unhealthy, especially if brought from a builders cafe, 3 Saussage, 4 Bacon, 3 Egg, Mushrooms, Tomatoe, 3 Hash Browns Beans,2 large pieces of black pudding and several slices of fried bread I saw once in a cafe all for £7, alas I was not tempted
