Alas, I have but a humble 360 with which to play my Beth games...
I'd be more sympathetic, but these days I'm just relishing what few benefits PCs have left over a console. ;)

Well after two nights ago sitting slack jawed through youtube vids of various amazing Oblivon mods I felt rather jealous of you PC gamers, flying your super hot elven ladies around on dragons...

An open world RPG where you command a company of troops and you try to establish an empire/mercenary company/colony in a far away land. You start in the post Medieval period (late 1500's) then progress to the Colonial era (early 1600's to mid 1700's) and you end in the post-Industrial era (late 1800's). I'm actually writing a whole backround for the game, I may look for a team to actually make this game a reality.

What Spore should of been.
Yes.

Star Wars Battlefront 3 was shaping up to be excellent before it was cancelled; it showcased a feature i always wanted in a game, ground to space transition (get into starfighter, fly around in atmosphere as starfighter, fly into space as starfighter), as well as a single player storyline (in short, it was gonna be a combination of the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight Series, Tie Fighter/X-wing/X-wing Alliance Series, with the tech of Battlefront, it could have been amazing.)
If they had made that instead of the abysmal Force Unleashed i would have been a happy star wars fan...

I would also say Mechwarrior 5 but thats finally been announced..

Exactly. Is that so hard? I play with the slider a bit lower than the middle, nothing wrong with that. Its such a simple fix. Ofcourse, I guess all other TES fans have God complexes.
It is a simple fix, but shouldn't it be the Devs' job to make a game that is properly balanced and fun on the normal difficulty setting?

I can only speak for myself but Fallout 3 felt like it did this much better.

It was insanely tough on first playthrough until you hit around level 8 or 9. Everything had to be meticulously micro-managed but as my character got more XP and new perks it started to open up and get easier, which felt like I was getting places.

I guess I just like my RPGs that way. Difficulty curve through clever level design or enemy AI, as opposed to Trolls with 1 million health that stagger you with EVERY kick.

That's another thing... I hope they get rid of that damn stagger mechanic. So frustrating!
So you can not stagger after having a troll punch you? Maybe what makes Fallout 3 easier is the traditional leveling system, which is meh because I love the TES skills system. Maybe you just dont train enough the right way and is your own character creating problem that makes it hard. I know my characters fair well, since I build them to live. Well, my main ones. SOme experimental ones do not fair as well. Backtracking, staggering makes a hand-to-hand character possible, though more so in Morrowind than Oblivion.

From my perspective, a bunch of sexy models is no replacement for being a second banana platform as far as most big name developers are concerned. The PC tends to land a lot of Playstation 2 ports when our version rolls around.

I would love to see an open world fps or a medieval type game with a true sense of stealth, there were a bunch of games i was interested in that really ruined it for me cuz I would try playing stealthy and it was horrible. One where you can decide to snipe someone in an enemy camp and the others have no idea where it comes from rather then you get into place and before you can even aim the entire camp looks at you and opens fire, it wouldnt be a perfect game but i'd love it

An open, large and detailed city with intelligent AI and varied people design. Free roaming capabilities and a large array of weapons and destructible environments. Rag doll physics as well.

a mmo with huge amounts of customization, a extreme item list, a mix of scifi and fantasy, good game play, and graphics

In fear of having hardcore next-gen Star Ocean fans disemboweling me in rage...

A new Star Ocean game made like the original two: clever, tongue-in-cheek, strangely addictive, simple but beautiful graphics, LIKABLE and empathetic characters, a fastpaced battle system that can leave you breathless, an actual difficulty curve that isn't FUBAR, quick and easy yet deceptively simple crafting, good voice acting, good translations, good dialogue, and an actual PLOT that makes sense.

Okay, ranting done now. My ideal game in an (extremely unimpressed) nutshell.

I really want to play a good RPG where you can really become incredibly powerful at high levels, but theres still challenges in dungeons and stuff. And hopefully a fairly easy leveling system similar to Fable

Just something with a good story and controls that just feel natural (as natural as a controller or keyboard can get, anyhow). Most of the time when I actually put a few good hours in a game is just because I'm dicking around a lot, especially if the characters are fun to control in one way or another.

A Historically and geographically accurate completely open world RPG set in early medeival (post Roman but pre 1204 sort of time period)Nroth western Europe, something like an arcadier form of Wyrm online (no grind just the ability to geomorph and build) hybridised with Mount and Blade with some of Total War / Crusader kings slant thrown in there for diplomatic intrigue.

Long, sandboxed and with axes.... what more do you want?
