The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

"I don't think there will be any 'cops' here. Let's just ask them," Garrus told Tommy as he walked over to all the mercs. He looked over the four who were still conscious before saying, "Which one of you is the highest rank out of you guys?"

The mercs were silent, all looking at the ground or at the ceiling. Garrus turned back towards his team members and said, "Okay we might just have to do the whole 'cop' thing unless they tell me what I want to know." The mercs sat there silently.

"Boy these guys are vets," Garrus muttered.

One of the unconscious men woke up and looked up at Dona, before falling back into unconsciousness. Two of the conscious men looked pretty terrified at the dog, while the others stared right at it.

"I guess we know who've been doing this the longest," Garrus whispered to the team before turning to Dona, "I'd say just pick through their minds. They aren't going to talk."

"Now hold on there, Garrus." Alister said. "Maybe I can get them to talk."

He sat down, staring at the mercs at eye level. It was difficult, but he could look serious when he needed to. The mask shrouding half of his face certainly helped.

Maybe my powers too, but that's not that big a deal eh?

"So, then." He began. "We've already seen what happens when you boys try to take us in a fight, right? Doesn't really go so well. Now then, we need answers, and one way or another we're going to get that information. Now, we could handle this civilly, like gentlemen, and you just tell me what I ask you. Or, we could do it the hard way, and just have the nice lady on the mad dog mind-rape you. Now, which is it gonna be?"

Richard had been in the battle, cutting weapons and a few calf muscles before it stopped he walked over to the group before taking his helmet off.

"Give me fifteen minutes alone with them, they'll be telling me what their favorite breakfast food is by the time I'm finished." He said to the group before turning to the men in his lab.

"You see boys, I'm not in a mood to be trifled with, so unless you want to be going home in multiple pieces I kindly suggest you talk. If you don't, my friend mind raping you will be the very least of your problems." Richard spoke in a dead serious tone.

The more harden mercs stayed silent, but one of the newer ones couldn't take it anymore. "I'll tell you whatever you want! Just don't hurt me!" he yelled in terror, getting glares from his comrades.

"And there we go! Want to tell us who sent you and where we can find them?" Garrus asked the terrified guard.
"I-it was Alben, Gerard Alben. He's the boss. He sent us to go and get the chips for the next set of mass-produced suits. O-our base is over in the city Kent, right on the outskirts!" he replied back.
"Anything else we want to know guys?" Garrus asked.

"I have no further questions, but you might want to give the one that talked a different cell. I doubt his friends here will be too happy with him when this is all over."

"I'm sure if I talk to Patriot I can get the one that talked a very lovely cell with all the ameneties a cooperative prisoner can get. I'm sure I can also arrange for his buddies to spend the rest of their lives in solitary confinement, for his and their safety of course."Richard thought about it for a second.

"In fact, I think the other prisoners would love to get at the men responsible for the deaths of comrades and families, especially if they happen to harm any children. Funny that, criminals can put up with a lot of bad people but the ones that hurt children end up mysteriously dead."

 

[Captainguy42]

Tommy gave an akward forced laugh, not sure if Richard was kidding or not. He decided to change the subject, "So, how about this Gearard guy right? Sounds like our next lead huh?" He punctuated the statement by clapping his hands.

"Sounds about right." Alister said, nodding to Tommy. "What's our next move, Garrus?"

Sorry I didn't post sooner...was busy drawing.

"I say we head over to Kent and find the base. Go on the offensive. Any of you injured enough that we need to stop at the hospital? We'll get the police to pick these guys up," Garrus replied, already calling the police with his phone. He told them everything they needed to know, closing his phone as he turned to the the group.

"You guys ready to go in and kick some ass?" he asked with a smirk.

" Finally things are going our way, no need to stop now." Tommy felt his arms, the bruises and cuts where almost completely healed, infact Tommy had noticed he was healing significantly faster ever since the virus attack.

"So I take it we go to Kent before this guy knows what's hit em?"

"That would be the plan Tommy. Hopefully our luck can stay somewhat decent and we can take these guys out before they become any larger a threat than they already have." Richard replied.

 

[Captainguy42]

Tommy nodded, not needing anymore affirmation he exited the lab.
"Alright then, let's get going. The police and take care of these guys."
He got into his car and began down the road to Kent.

Alister walked out to his bike and hopped on, following after Tommy.
"I get the feeling this is gonna be a LONG night." Alister mumbled into his communicator.

"It may be long, but it is important as well." Richard said back as he moved outside before flying in the direction of the base.

"It seems I missed out on the fight. So much for the stealth approach. Ah well, what can you do," Katie said to no-one in particular as she headed out of the lab and returned to her motorbike, still wearing her plant armour. She got on the bike, started it up and headed off after the others, intending to get a piece of the action this time around.

Garrus left with the group towards Kent, driving through Garden City before reaching the city of Kent.

"Alright guys. Keep a look out for buildings that look like they could be up to something," Garrus said, staying on the outskirts of the city, "It's not too big of a city, so it shouldn't take us too long to locate it."

"Didn't Richard mention it might be underground?" Tommy asked as he droved through the cities outskirts. "Because I'm not really seeing anything that looks like a base from where I am."
