"Hmm, lovely sentiment but we don't know where anyone else is and have no way to contact them. Between that and the fact that since this is an illusion so we could walk until the day we die and never find anyone I think we should focus on escape. If we can break or otherwise get out of the illusion and defeat Leland, then this all dispels and we will be able to regroup. Getting out is our only realistic option, I think." Richard replied.

"I was trying to resist the control over me as much as possible, but now I think I'm going to enjoy killing you," Undertow told Alister after a silent pause. His torso disappeared into the water that then went into the cracks.

There was complete silence until water blasted out, filling the whole hallway they were in with water trapping them.

The water hit Alister from every direction, nearly crushing him under its weight. He hunched into a ball and sunk to the bottom of the room, waiting for the water pressure to lessen enough for him to escape.

Undertow focused on Alister after all the remarks he made and also because he viewed him as more of a threat. He caused the density in the water to rise around Alister, letting him suffer as much as he could with the slow rise.

Alister sat there, continuing the wait out the storm. As far as he was concerned he had nothing to fear from this water. The air in his lungs was circulating still, supplemented by his Grail-enhanced abilities. And his skeletal structure was strong enough to resist the pressure, for the moment. All he could do is hope that Katie thought of a way around this, as he was unable to move at the moment.

Katie was forced away from Alister by the rushing water, the pressure blasting her off her feet, only for her to be completely submerged. Her plant armour became more of a hindrance than a help as it soaked up some of the liquid and became heavier, and she sank to the floor almost immediately. The pressure became too much after a few seconds, and she blacked out, unable to take the strain.

Undertow continued raising the pressure on Alister slowly, waiting to see what would happen. This one something new to him, someone who was not that affected by his attacks.

'For now at least,' he thought, noticing that Katie had become unconscious and throwing her out of the water.

Alister's heart began to race as fear crept in. Katie had proven uncharacteristically useless, and was unconscious. He could hold out for some time while awaiting rescue or an idea, but she certainly couldn't. He opened an eye cautiously, only to shut it immediately as the pressure threatened to burst it. He saw that if he pushed directly forward he would end up heading straight towards a wall. Seeing a chance, he sprung forward and smashed the wall open with his fist, the water pouring out of the room as he took a chance to catch a breath of fresh air.

He ran over to Katie, attempting to grab her and escape.

According to the post above yours, Katie's out of the water, so you may want to edit.

The water rushed into the hole that Alister had made, Undertow going along with it instead of staying so he could plan his next surprise attack. The water went down into the lower levels, right next to where Tommy and Richard were.

"Oh...hello," Undertow said after the water fell right next to them.

"Oh god, not again. Can't you just take us to Leland or something so we can fight him and get this over with?" Richard groused. He was looking undertow over and trying to figure out possible ways to defeat him should it come to that.

"Richard did the water just say hello?" Tommy asked, wondering if it was another illusion.

"Yes, yes it did," Undertow replied to Tommy, appearing out of the water "And no. I still want to deal with that annoying one! Before I wanted to actually get out of this mind-control, but now I just want to beat him to a pulp," he explained, having the water turn into an arrow shape and pointing upwards.

"Fair enough, I'm going to assume you mean Alister. Unfortunately, even though I do share the sentiment at times, he is my teammate and so we need to stop you." Richard replied.

Meanwhile...

Jason sighed with great annoyance as he traveled down a quiet, dim hallway of the Union's base.

"You have a knack for getting left, you know that?" Erebus asked with a chuckle.

"Shut up. I was practically bringing up the rear. Then I blink...and they're all gone." Jason answered aloud.

"Well, they did say that there were gonna be some illusions going around. You should've never been blinking in the first place!"

"Again I say, Shut up!" Jason growled as he continued to walk, the dim hallway growing ever so dimmer. Eventually it became too dark to see. Jason stopped, putting his hands up in a huff.

"Well shit! Now what?!" He yelled to no one before patching onto his comm.

"Hey, can anyone hear me? It's Jason. I could use a little help here!" He said, annoyed as usual.

"I could help." Said a deep, familiar voice from the darkness, from behind Jason. He spun to face the voice, calling out to it. A single light flickered on, and the voice stepped into it. Jason stepped back, shaking his head. A lone "no" slipped from his lips.

"Shit. Looks like we've been spotted."

The figure stepped forward, with red armor and black cracks lining one side of his body, one side of his face. Lights flickered on as he walked under them. He chuckled heartily as a smile streched across his lips.

"So. The prodigal son returns, huh? It's good to see you again, little brother. I almost began to miss you." He uttered with another low chuckle.

"Why are you here Takashi? How did you find me?" Jason asked, voice trembling.

"You really thought running to the Society would hide you forever? Not to mention all the times you and your friends been on the news." Takashi answered as he paced in his spot. Jason's breaths began to become fast and heavy as fear began to overcome him.

"So that's how it is? You're gonna kill your younger brother? Just like that?" Jason asked.

"Well actually, Dad was gonna send little sis after you, but he wanted to see a body. So that was definitely out of the question." Takashi answered. As Jason began to talk into his comm, Takashi dashed towards Jason before vanishing into a deep red cloud, appearing right in front of him. Before Jason could defend himself, a long red armblade grew from Takashi's armor-covered arm, piercing deep into (then through) Jason's torso. A loud, pained yell stretched throughout the hallway and into the comm. Takashi gazed curiously into Jason's still covered face as he lifted his brother into the air.

"My armor! How...!" Jason groaned.

"Surprised? Your armor isn't as "invincible" as you thought, little bro. Especially when the person you're fighting is your own flesh and blood." Takashi said quietly as the blade slid futher through the wound.

"How does it feel? The pain. Bet you've never felt real, physical pain before, have you?" he asked with another laugh.

"No...you won't kill me. Not today...not...ever...!" Jason exclaimed as he felt rage began to build in him. The crack on his face began to stretch further. Takashi instantly knew what was going on.

"Really? You're gonna risk turning into a beast, to kill me? What if you win? You'd kill your friends too. As a matter of fact, I want you to get angry. It'd just make my mission easier." Takashi gibed, tossing Jason off the blade, and into a wall. He was right. Everyone would die if that were to happen. Jason patched in weakly.

"Guys...I need some help...please..." He pleaded as Takashi slowly approached him.

"Guess there is nothing I can do then," Undertow responded as the water formed into a spiral behind him before shooting out at Richard, sending him through one of the walls.

"And now to you," he said having a sphere of water envelop Tommy's head, "Never a pleasant way to go but it'll have to do."

"God I sometimes really hate being a super." Richard said as his head spun from the throw before recovering and getting up. He charged at Undertow before tackling through him and quickly turning around.

"Wonderful, physical attacks won't work. I swear, if I wasn't supposed to save you guys I would just kill you and save so much time and effort."

"Glad to know we're on the 'save, don't kill' list," Undertow replied as he made the water near Richard shoot out as sharp, swirling spikes of death.

"It makes things easier though you do pose a unique challenge," he added.
