Meanwhile...
Jason sighed with great annoyance as he traveled down a quiet, dim hallway of the Union's base.
"You have a knack for getting left, you know that?" Erebus asked with a chuckle.
"Shut up. I was practically bringing up the rear. Then I blink...and they're all gone." Jason answered aloud.
"Well, they did say that there were gonna be some illusions going around. You should've never been blinking in the first place!"
"Again I say, Shut up!" Jason growled as he continued to walk, the dim hallway growing ever so dimmer. Eventually it became too dark to see. Jason stopped, putting his hands up in a huff.
"Well shit! Now what?!" He yelled to no one before patching onto his comm.
"Hey, can anyone hear me? It's Jason. I could use a little help here!" He said, annoyed as usual.
"I could help." Said a deep, familiar voice from the darkness, from behind Jason. He spun to face the voice, calling out to it. A single light flickered on, and the voice stepped into it. Jason stepped back, shaking his head. A lone "no" slipped from his lips.
"Shit. Looks like we've been spotted."
The figure stepped forward, with red armor and black cracks lining one side of his body, one side of his face. Lights flickered on as he walked under them. He chuckled heartily as a smile streched across his lips.
"So. The prodigal son returns, huh? It's good to see you again, little brother. I almost began to miss you." He uttered with another low chuckle.
"Why are you here Takashi? How did you find me?" Jason asked, voice trembling.
"You really thought running to the Society would hide you forever? Not to mention all the times you and your friends been on the news." Takashi answered as he paced in his spot. Jason's breaths began to become fast and heavy as fear began to overcome him.
"So that's how it is? You're gonna kill your younger brother? Just like that?" Jason asked.
"Well actually, Dad was gonna send little sis after you, but he wanted to see a body. So that was definitely out of the question." Takashi answered. As Jason began to talk into his comm, Takashi dashed towards Jason before vanishing into a deep red cloud, appearing right in front of him. Before Jason could defend himself, a long red armblade grew from Takashi's armor-covered arm, piercing deep into (then through) Jason's torso. A loud, pained yell stretched throughout the hallway and into the comm. Takashi gazed curiously into Jason's still covered face as he lifted his brother into the air.
"My armor! How...!" Jason groaned.
"Surprised? Your armor isn't as "invincible" as you thought, little bro. Especially when the person you're fighting is your own flesh and blood." Takashi said quietly as the blade slid futher through the wound.
"How does it feel? The pain. Bet you've never felt real, physical pain before, have you?" he asked with another laugh.
"No...you won't kill me. Not today...not...ever...!" Jason exclaimed as he felt rage began to build in him. The crack on his face began to stretch further. Takashi instantly knew what was going on.
"Really? You're gonna risk turning into a beast, to kill me? What if you win? You'd kill your friends too. As a matter of fact, I want you to get angry. It'd just make my mission easier." Takashi gibed, tossing Jason off the blade, and into a wall. He was right. Everyone would die if that were to happen. Jason patched in weakly.
"Guys...I need some help...please..." He pleaded as Takashi slowly approached him.
