The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

Sensor sent out another loud ringing sound for a distraction, some debris falling between him and Richard so that he could try to retreat before striking again. Paul snuck behind Tommy once he was separated, silently putting on explosive symbols on the ground around him. He detonated them once he had taken a step back, the ground collapsing beneath Tommy.

Paul turned and hid once more, going to where Richard was and preparing to strike.

"Richard don't go to far-"

Suddenly the floor detonated from underneath him, sending Tommy falling onto the floor below.

God dammit, this is just going from bad to worse, I need to find some way to end this quick. He looked around, this floor was just and empty room, just like Katie had told them before.

Richard let the plasma turret pop up and melt some of the rocks in between, using the jets to burst through whatever had been left. Sensor had some distance on him but he was still within sight. He knew where to strike to weaken the tunnel and used the turrets to remove every major structural support from the tunnel ahead of sensor. The tunnel collapsed, trapping Sensor between what had to be at least hundreds of feet of rubble and Richard.

Sensor turned around, glaring at Richard as he tried to figure out something to do. He saw Paul sneaking up behind Richard, already putting on symbols on the back of his suit. Sensor turned around and tried to dig through some of the rubble to keep Richard's attention on him.

"Can...defeat you. Take...time," Sensor said, throwing some debris behind him.

Alister calmly gripped his sword, staring down the watery figure. "I'm a hero mate. Not exactly one to back down because somebody asked me nicely."

Richard had had more than enough of Sensor. He ran up behind him before kicking him in the back of the leg to get him on one knee. Letting the blades flip back before grabbing sensor's neck with one hand and slowly squeezing as he lifted him off the ground. He held the man there squeezing his hand until Sensor went completely limp in his arms and his eyes closed, Sensor wasn't dead but he was going to be unconscious for at least an hour or so. He threw the man against the wall before walking back. He would keep an eye open for Paul Dagger but he was nowhere to be seen, which wasn't all that surprising when he thought about it. Richard began to walk back to the hole to meet up with Tommy and find a way out of this.

"So be it," the watery figure replied back, going back into the water as the water died down. It then erupted all around him, taking him down the sewer halls further from the group as it threw him through the walls.


Paul followed a little bit further ahead of Richard, contemplating what to do next. He already had the explosive symbol on the back of Richard's suit, did he really need to try to risk himself by going for the front as well? The commands to defeat the intruders was too great, and he jumped out towards Richard already prepared with the paint in his hands.

Richard was taken by surprise and Paul was able to get the symbol on him. His quick reaction however allowed him to catch Paul's arm as he tried to pull it away. He turned Paul's right palm up before getting his left forearm under Paul's elbow and thrusting up as quickly as possible. Paul's arm broke at the elbow and Richard took advantage of the opportunity it proved him with as he got in a swift kick to the side of Paul's right knee as well, shattering it.

"I'm really sick of the both of you, just be glad once this is over Camille can heal you both up." Richard said as he threw the man over his shoulder and having him hit the wall.

Paul yelled in agony as he was thrown to the side, the pain being unbearable. He barely had time to detonate before falling unconscious.

Alister fell to the ground, coughing up more of the water as he attempted to regain his footing. He took a look around and gaped in horror. "Oh, disgusting! This is a sewer?" He stood up and raised his voice to catch the attention of the voice. "If this is sewer water, what does that make you, a Shit Elemental?"

"All water is controllable by me," the voice said calmly as sharp spears of water shot out from the cracks in the walls around Alister, stabbing into him.

The water smacked into Alister's skin, only to stop at the surface. Alister smacked away one of the spears with the flat of his blade, more as a show of defiance than anything. "What do you take me for, the Wicked Witch of the West? Show your face, or this gonna get nowhere fast."

Richard was blown back, his armor had been damaged in spots and he lost every sensor in his helmet at once. The helmet now only kept track of the most basic abilities of his suit, flight, activation of the blades and turrets, power consumption, and strength and agility. The HUD wasn't displaying it but he knew that was all he had as he checked all his systems. The helmet was basically just acting as a helmet at this point, it would give him no more aid other than protecting his whole head while letting him speak, hear, and see. His armor would also be relatively weaker than it could be. If the explosions had been bigger he would have lost core systems or been injured, he considered himself extremely lucky as he made his way back to Tommy's position before jumping through the hole to land next to Tommy.

 

[CounterAttack]

Katie hurried to aid Alister, as he seemed to be most in need of assistance from what she could see. She arrived in time to see the spears of water - clearly controlled by another super - smash into him. Strangely he was unaffected by them. A detached part of her mind wondered why this was the case.

To aid in defending her teammate, Katie twisted her vines together and flattened the ends into two shields, which she would use to block any further spear attacks.

"I see that I must use more force on the likes of you," Undertow said, his torso rising out from the water like before though with more clear features now. "This is the form that would be the easiest for you to recognize as human," Undertow told him, "...it seems an ally is here too."

The cracks behind Katie filled up with water, rising before shooting up at her.

 

[CounterAttack]

Half a second after the water hit Katie, she jumped out of its way, away from the cracks in the floor. Thankfully it hadn't managed to blast through her plant armour; she mentally breathed a sigh of relief at that, not wanting to deal with water-damaged clothes. Dammit, how do we deal with this guy? she asked herself. Can't block the cracks 'cause that would take up too much of my resources...

Tommy was glad to see Richard come through the hole, he wasn't so glad to see the damage on his suit. He still wondered about Alister, Katie, and Garrus

"Richard is your armor alright?" He asked as he surveyed the room.

"Where is everyone? And has anyone seen Garrus?" He asked over his comm, wanting to figure out where everyone was.

"Stay back!" Alister shouted to Katie. "The only reason I can survive this water is because I'm special." He said, putting an almost childlike tone on the final word. He twisted the sword's hilt in his grip, allowing him to swing with the flat of the blade. He leaped up and grabbed a conspicuous chain hanging from the wall. "So what, now you're some terrible cross between Cthulhu and the Little Mermaid? I'm a Troper mate, I can keep these up all day!"

He straightened his legs, springing from the wall and swinging towards the damp figure, swinging his sword to smack into it head on.

"It's fine, the systems I need to fight are alright and the armor will hold in combat. I haven't seen anyone else and the comm is probably useless." Richard said.

"I took care of both Sensor and Paul Dagger, where do we go from here?"

[color= Blue] "We need to regroup," [/color] Tommy told Richard once he established his comm wasn't working. The enemies were trying to seperate them, and Tommy was worried about Garrus, just before the fight started they had lost track of him.
