"True. It is quite a marvelous thing looking at all the things in the museum. Was always nice to come here and look at it all as a child. Seemed so otherworldly back then," Garrus said, watching Rich go through each page wondering how he could he even do it.

"Must have been enchanting for a child. Tales of larger than life heroes protecting the world from evil. Almost like the tales of knights from the days of yore." Richard said without looking up from the file.

"Made me want to be a hero...amongst other things. I should everyone a tour someday. A real tour, with all the juicy details about battles and so on! That'd be fun," Garrus replied enthusiastically.

"I have to agree. I've always been a bit of a history buff myself." Richard said before putting the second folder down and picking up a third.

"Hah, coming here everyday back when I was young and talking to all the heroes as I grew up means I have gotten a very in-depth history of everyone," Garrus explained, "I was actually a tour guide here for a few months when I moved out on my own. Was nice."

After completely downing the stir fry, mere minutes after heating it, Jason let out a satisfied sigh. After washing his bowl, Jason strolled into the lounge.

"Whoo. Complements to the chef." He said, plopping down on the nearest sofa.

"I would hope it was. The most horrific fate is to be forced to do a job you hate. I got lucky I guess. I was always destined to take over the business, just happened to be that I enjoyed it." Richard replied as he flipped the page of the third folder. He heard more than saw Jason enter.

"So did you tell Katie yet?" He asked.

"Good times, good times," he said to Rich.

"And a thanks to Jason. Glad you liked the food," Garrus replied to Jason with a smile, "So...you and Katie, eh? Word spreads around quickly."

Jason eyes quickly widened at what the two superheroes said to him.

"Me?...and Katie? It could work. Well, at least I hope it could work..." His voice trailed as he told them. He was usually shy around girls, but being around Katie felt natural for him. He was happy when she was around.

"Advise you take it slow, but don't let her get away. Who knows who else might be interested and make a move?" Garrus replied with a chuckle.

"Trust me Garrus, she likes him back. Any idiot with eyes can see the two are at least attracted to each other. Though I would say love has made the both of them blind and stupid to the other. Seriously though, you should tell her, or at least ask her to go out with you sometime." Richard said before flipping another page.

With a quick, "Catch you guys later," Katie hurried past Tommy and Simon, heading for the kitchens. The mention of food had brought her hunger back: she hadn't eaten at all today, as she and Jason had skipped breakfast. The smell of cooking reached her nose as she entered the room, and she made herself busy, ignoring the others for a few moments.

Then she heard Jason mention her name, and she moved a little slower, eavesdropping on the conversation. She was stunned at Richard's comment that she liked Jason. Oh, wow... was it that obvious? she thought as she continued. I mean, sure, he's a nice guy, but still... She put a bowl of the cooling stir-fry in the microwave and set it to heat for a minute.

"Well...My automatic instinct is to take it slow, Gar. I've never been one to rush." He told Garrus.

"And had went out (for breakfast) this morning, but we got distracted...I was gonna make it up to her by returning the favor tomorrow morning. I just hope their won't be any other distractions." Jason replied to Rich, feeling slightly uncomfortable in his chair.

"Okay I'm just saying. Be cautious, but not too cautious. That's probably not helping you actually..." Garrus said.

"You'll be fine man. Take it at your own pace, and go someplace relatively nice for breakfast," Garrus added, "Not McDonalds or anything like that."

"Good to see you are at least taking the initiative. Better than sitting back and never doing anything so that both of you sit around waiting for the other to make a move. Good advice Garrus, by the way." He looked through a few more pages of the file quickly.

"Patriot seems to be relying heavily on electronic security, hope that doesn't come back to bite us in the ass. Don't get me wrong, it's good to know my security systems are protecting such sensitive documents, but there are always holes and flaws in electronic surveillance. Hell, that's the first rule of electronic warfare and security, there is always a hole."

The microwave dinged, and Katie hurried to get her food out. She stirred it around a few times with a fork to check it was thoroughly heated: the entire bowlful was hot. She sat down at the table and started eating, intent on nothing less than finishing the whole thing.

All the while, she kept her ears open, to try and catch as much of the conversation in the lounge as she could. No doubt the others were giving Jason advice as to how to proceed with their relationship. She paused at that thought; many of the boys around the Horizon area, where she had grown up, had asked her out, some of them more than once, but she had always refused. She figured they were just interested in using her like a toy, having someone to cling to their arm, smiling at their every word.

"Thank you Rich. Hopefully that electronic security holds up. Is it guarded too? Locked away deep beneath the surface of the earth? Tch, even with that it could still get stolen. If you can put it there, someone can always take it out," Garrus mused.

Gonna wait for a few more people to come on and post before continuing the next part of the plot.

Tommy didn't hear a word of what Simon said, that was because Simon was standing on Tommy's right, and since the incident that morning Tommy had been experiencing temporary deafness in that ear (having a gun fired off into your ear will do that. So he just walked into the lounge without saying a word to Simon.

Inside the lounge he saw the food he had smelled earlier, he also waved hello to everyone else, and notice a few that he still had to introduce himself to. He went to Garrus and gave him a note,
Code:
Good to meet you, I'm Tommy Stitch, the new guy Ciliian told you about.

"Ah. So you're the new guy eh? Garrus Arreos at your service. Glad to have a new member aboard," Garrus said reading the note and extending his hand to Tommy.
