The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

"Aye, aye Captain"

And with that, Simon shifted away into the city, reappearing amidst fallen rubble and injured people. Many of them swarmed around him, begging him to save them but he simply tapped his communicator calmly

"Just tell me where I'm needed most"

"You're needed everywhere. Your priority is going to be anyone who is trapped in rubble but you can touch, warp them to the hospital. I'm about to head out with a rescue team, clearing a path and helping them reach people." Richard said as he reached the hospital.

"So I guess I'm on fire and tsunami watch," Aaron joked sliding off to Westford.

Tommy motioned for Garrus to get on the back of the bike. As soon as he was on Tommy took off towards the city at top-speed. In a few minutes they could see the how bad the destruction was, Tommy got on his Comm, " Garrus where should we start?

"Well I think we'll follow Richard and then move from there," Garrus replied, "Go to the hospital and from there get to work on clearing out rubble and helping people out."

Tommy nodded and veered the bike towards the hospital. When they arrived they got off and were greeted by a scene of complete chaos. The hospital was already swamped with people who had been injured in the initial shocks. Police men were already trying to coordinate the activity, one officer spotted Tommy and Garrus and approached them.

" Are you two from the Society?" The officer asked. Tommy nodded yes and the Officer seemed slightly relieved, but he didn't let himself relax just yet, he still had a long day ahead of him.

"Well I'm glad your hear, we have a situation a little north of here, a bill-board's fallen down and trapped we don't know how many people, we've got lifting equipment on it's way but we're not sure it it will make it in time, can you two take care of it?" The Officer asked.

Tommy looked at Garrus and asked, " I can definitely lift the board up, I'll just need someone to grab the people under it, so what do you say start there?"

Richard arrived a little bit before them and found the coordinator working with the paramedics of the city. He was going to head out into the financial sector of the city and help sift through the rubble to find people or body parts to identify the dead by.

"That's what we're here for," Garrus replied to Tommy as he was led by the officer over to the billboard as quickly as possible.

Cillian was shuffling through all the reports he was getting from various areas around the city and was directing everyone as best he could.
"Aaron the fire needs to be taken out as quickly as possible. It's already gotten from Vid Street to Drake Avenue. For those dealing with the jailbreak be careful. While the people there aren't as bad as those in the maximum prison they are still very dangerous. A number of police patrols are keeping things in check as much as possible there."

 

[CounterAttack]

"Understood, Cillian. I'm on my way to the prison now," Katie said. She was riding a motorbike she'd found near the Promenade gate; it could have been anyone's, but she had needed it. She deftly rode around cracks in the roads, crashed cars and fallen lamp-posts, and eventually reached one of a few police barriers set up outside the prison gates. She dismounted and made her way to the nearest officer. "I'm with the Society of Justice," she said, trying to maintain confidence. "What's the situation?"

Tommy got to work immediately, he bent over and grabbed the sign with both hands. After a few small pulls to test the weight of the sign Tommy began lifting it up. When he had it at his shoulders he motioned his head at Garrus.

"Got it Cillian," Aaron increased his speed.

When Aaron arrived the hole block was engulfed in flames. Aaron also noticed their were citizens still trapped in some of the buildings. The firefighters were doing the best they could but it wasan't enough.

Aaron slid to one of the apartment complexes which were ablaze. Aaron focused and frozed the base of the flame quickly estinguishing it. He dived in after and esorted the people out.

"Pheww...one down a hundred more to go."

Garrus nodded and ran under the board, helping the few people stuck under it out. He nodded to Tommy to show that that was all of them before leading them to some officers that could help them. "Alright, let's continue on and try to clear up some more debris. Check the houses," Garrus said as he marched along the decimated street, stopping and pointing out to people where they should be heading.

"The situation is that there are a bunch of criminals running about and we're trying to catch them," the officer explained to Katie, yelling at one of his subordinates, "As of now we've caught a number of them, never did get far. We're missing three of them though. Notorious fellas. Can you help us with that?"

 

[CounterAttack]

"Right, I got these guys, no problem," Katie said as she levitated herself into the air. Taking deep breaths to maintain calm at her height, she immediately spotted one criminal a few streets away, running down the road alone. She lowered herself back to the ground, got back on her bike and began pursuing her target.

She caught up to the criminal within a few minutes, as he had a headstart. She used her plant armour to produce a long, tough branch on either side of her waist, and thus have a weapon and simultaneously maintain balance. Katie rode down the middle of the road to clothesline her quarry. He panicked a little, and tried to outrun her, but she accelerated, catching up to him and speeding straight past him. The branch on her right side hit him in the face, sending him cartwheeling into an unconscious face-plant.

Katie modified her two branches to secure the criminal on her passenger seat, and sped straight back to the barrier she had visited earlier.

Richard arrived after having cleared some obstructions in the heart of the city. Bodies littered the streets, some moaning and many simply lying motionless. There were also simply parts of people laying around. He began to remove rubble and place bodies onto stretchers and in the ambulance they had come in.

Jason appeared at the prison, albeit, a bit too late. As he skidded to a halt on a bike, a nearby officer approached him.

"Let me guess, your with the Society too?" The officer asked.

"Yup, it seemed like you guys could use a hand, so I came here to lend one. Just point me in their direction sir." Jason said.

"Well, the prison itself is still swarming with prisoners who thought it was best to take over the prison. We'd go in there, but some of the prisoners overpowered the guards and stole their weaponry."

"Alright, I can handle this." He says, stopping the officer before he could finish. And with that, he ventured into the prison, unaware of what might happen.

Simon was shifting all over the city, grabbing those he could and moving them to hospitals all over the city, sometimes even moving patients from hospital to hospital to ensure they got the correct treatment.

It was a most curious situation. He was sure scientists all over the world had monitoring equipment for these kinds of disasters...he'd have to bring it up once the disaster was over

Cillian opened his bottle of anti-anxiety pills and popped one of the pills in his mouth as he went back to work directing the Society alongside the rescue operations.

"New safe area over in Smithson Lake and Park, thankfully none of the animals escaped from the zoo next door to that. That tsunami is going to strike in a bit is what I'm being told, so Aaron once you deal with that big fire let the firemen know that you're going to be back once that's done. There's also a major pipeline that was broken, so can you freeze that up before going to the tsunami zone?"

"Keep up the good work everyone else. Hopefully nothing else ba- Wha? Yeah that's me. Urgent notice eh? Alright let me take a look...Oh. Oh dear god. Where are my pills?"

"What's up Cillian mind telling us why you're freaking out over on your end?" Garrus asked, handing a child their teddy bear that was more pain then it was worth to get.

I'm going to be traveling today, and I may or may not be able to get online for a few days because of a trip. So feel free to control Tommy, otherwise assume he's following Garrus and doing good deeds.

Richard was removing some rubble that was covering a person who was simply laying there calling for help, not even recognizing Richard was there.

'Almost like the old stories of shell shock from world war one veterans.' Richard thought as he heard Cillian have a breakdown into the comm.

"What's going on Cillian? I'm sure it can't be worse than anything that has already happened or what I'm seeing now." Richard spoke into the mic.

"Well...about that. Seemingly the...Pentagon got broken into and a metric ton of files and data was stolen. Oh and no one has a damn clue how, when, or why this happened. The only reason we even know about this is because the people who stole it tripped an alarm on purpose," Cillian explained, his tone worried.

"Fucking hell. Was that the only place broken into?" Garrus asked from his comm.

"Seems to be the case. But who knows?" Cillian replied.
