The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

Katie unceremoniously dumped her unconscious prisoner at the officer's feet, then sped off again to find another of the two remaining. She could only carry one at a time, so that was a little annoying. It would have been much easier if she could have collected all three before returning.

A few minutes later she found the second escaped prisoner hiding in a back alley, presumably waiting until the crisis had blown over. He had a knife, but it did little more than scratch her root armour when he attacked from the shadows. She knocked him out with an armoured punch to the solar plexus, and brought him back to the police in the same way she had the first.

Richard immediately went silent. He tossed the rubble aside without a thought and immediately took off with jets at full blast. He arrived in a matter of minutes and immediately walked into the building. He turned off his communicator and his helmet before walking up to a guard. As apart of the deal he would have the full rights of any other member, and that included access to government buildings when a crime occurred. The guard checked his identity and immediately took him to the scene. He began to go from file cabinet to file cabinet looking for the documents he had handed over to the government. After checking the last drawer of the last cabinet, he slammed the compartment closed. He turned his communicator and said simply.

"I need everyone at the Pentagon. Now." He said slowly, quietly, and as calmly as he could manage.

"I can tell that your raging underneath your calm exterior," Garrus replied into his communicator, continuing to help people even while talking, "But we need everyone here to keep up the rescue operation. There are still people that need saving and that tsunami is coming in soon. I don't think we can do it Rich."

 

[CounterAttack]

"On my way, Richard," Katie answered, detecting the anger in his voice, even though he tried to conceal it. She turned to the officer in charge and said, "Sorry, sir. I've got to go, new emergency. I got two of them, as you can see, but you'll have to deal with the last one on your own."

"Well, that's just peachy, isn't it! We're thinly spread as it is! I can't spare anyone to go and look for one guy! So much for the Society being any help..." Katie ignored the officer's ranting as she jumped back on her bike and roared down the street. She began to navigate her way through the broken city streets, carefully determining a route as she rode.

Aaron quickly doused most of the larger flames and left the smaller ones to the rest of the firefighters. He quickly made his way over to the pipe line. Sewage was spreading all over the place.

"I always get stuck cleaing the shit don't I," Aaron mumbled to himself. He made his way over grabbed the pipes and froze pracically the whole pipe.

"That should hold it until we can get somebody to fix it permantly," Aaron told a nearby cop.

Aaron then headed to the shore line.

After 15 minutes of fighting his way through the prison, Jason heard Rich's call, and Garrus' rebuttal.

"I think i'll be able to make it. A good number of the prisoners have been taken care of. I'll just leave the rest to the S.W.A.T (don't really know why they weren't doing this in the first place, but I digress)." Jason said as he stepped out of the prison, casually stepping over uncouncious bodies. Once he got out, he approached an officer.

"Send some S.W.A.T in there. The ones with weapons have been apprehended, the rest shouldn't be so hard. He says, walking to his bike.

"Hey, where are you going?!" The officer yelps.

"A more important emergency has occured. I must attend to it." Jason said casually before revving up the bike and leaving the officer in the dust.

"Alright Rich, point me in your direction." He said, speeding down the debris-riddled street.

"Garrus, what has just happened is more important than anything that has happened or will happen to the city. What happened here has endangered the security of the entire world. I need all of you here, now. No questions or arguments until you've arrived." Richard responded to Garrus. He heard Jason's question and responded.

"I'm at the Pentagon, tell the guard out front to take you all to me. There is something very important and highly classified I need to divulge. Communicators will need to be off when I tell you this. We cannot run any risk of anyone else finding out." Richard said as he began to thoroughly examine the room for any bugs of any kind anywhere.

 

[CounterAttack]

Katie accelerated, wanting to get to the Pentagon as fast as possible. Her speed doubled, and she began to react faster to the obstacles in her way. She reached the Pentagon within five minutes, and pulled her hood off to reveal her face to the guards. One of them moved forward, and said, "State your business here -"

She cut him off, saying, "I need to see Richard Masterson immediately," as she dismounted, still wearing her plant armour over her clothes.

"Right this way, miss." The guard hurried inside, and Katie followed, wondering what the massive emergency Richard had mentioned was.

"I really believe dealing with this tsunami that's about to crash into our city is a little bit more urgent right now," Aaron replied evactuating people still by the shore.

"I'll be there as soon as I'm done."

"Fine, just put a rush on freezing the damn thing. I am talking about a security breach that can lead to the planet as we know it being put in danger."Richard said as he finished his search for bugs and finding none.

Eventually, Jason made it to the Pentagon. As he parked his bike, he was quickly stopped by one of the soliders.

"Hey, you can't park here...whatever you are." He said, confused at Jason's appearance. Jason's mask unraveled, so he could confirm that he was human.

"Be cool solider, i'm here with the Society...most of which, are still on their way." Jason said, unmounting his bike.

"I'm here to see a, Richard Masterson, on the account of...classified business. Can you lead me to him?" He asked the solider politely.

The solider quickly examined Jason before nodding. After about 9 minutes of walking down vast hallways, the soliders stop in front of a door and open it for Jason. The boy quickly spots Rich, and quickly notices the scowl on his face.

"So, what happened here?" Jason asked, looking around the room.

Richard spoke to the soldier.

"I'm going to need any security camera footage from after the security system was activated up until my arrival." The soldier saluted before leaving, he turned to Jason.

"It has been looted. I think I know who, and I fear the why. I'll explain more when the others show up. In any case, with the sensitive information contained within everything in this room, the government is sure to be secretly upping the DEFCON level, probably level three or higher." Richard said as he waited for the soldier to return.

Katie hurried into the room and deactivated her communicator. "Sorry I'm late, Richard. What did I miss? Is there..." She trailed off, looking around the room. It had clearly been searched more than once, and she presumed one of those searches to have been performed by Richard.

"Who could possibly have the knowledge and skill to steal from the Pentagon itself?" she asked, having quickly worked out the situation.

"It had to be someone powerful. a Super, perhaps? Whoever it was, they must have loads of skill if they got to this room undetected." Jason said to Katie as she walked in.

"Speaking of which, does anyone here get a good idea on what they've stole? Anything specific?" He asked Rich, walking through the room, picking up papers and folders.

"I know something of what they stole. That is why I called you here. The whole reason I asked that trooper to get security footage is to see if I can confirm my suspicion of who did this as well Katie." Richard said before turning off his communicator.

"Turn your communicator off Jason, and I will begin to answer your questions more thoroughly."

Jason took the communicator out of his ear before turning it off.

"Okay, i'm all ears." Jason said casually.

"Alright, in the deal with patriot I had to do more than join the society to stay out of prison. I had to hand over documents that told them how to access the security system to my home as well as my home computer. They wanted to make sure I wasn't building anything behind their backs. Those documents were stored here due to the classified nature of all my work. With those documents," Richard paused for a second before continuing quietly.

"They can access my home computer and the network it is connected to. That network connects to my business and a private server. By using the network to hack my business they can siphon funds or find blueprints and code for every security system or weapon we have ever produced by hacking into various departments. The private server contains one thing and one thing only." he paused again, this time even longer.

"Blueprints for a prototype of my suit. So while they learn how to access all the security systems of the G8 nations, as well as the member states of NATO and SEATO, and siphon of millions if not billions of dollars from my business. They can spend their spare time building an army of prototype suits." Richard moved to sit down in a nearby chair and place his head in his hands.

"I should have just gone to jail. I should have predicted this would happen, hell, my whole career is predicting and preventing things like this from happening. Some security firm CEO I turned out to be. I just endangered the security of the world just so I wouldn't have to go to jail." Richard let out a bitter laugh.

Tommy was busy clearing a pile of debris he was working franticaly, he could still hear the cries of the people trapped underneath. As he cleared the last layer he uncovered a father and daughter. He helped them out, first the girl then the man. The man gave him a hug and thanked him, then the father took his crying daughter to the volunteer paramedics. I suppose I should go to the Pentagon. But as he look around, the city was still in ruins, there were fires that needed to be put out and people still buried under the rubble, the thought of leaving these people at this time filled his mouth with a bitter taste.

Aaron quickly froze the incoming tsunami and of course carved an ice scuplture of himself.

He quickly made his way to the Pentagon and met up with Jason,Katie and Rich,

"So guys what I miss?"

Richard waited until Aaron had turned his communicator off.

"Oh nothing much, just how my dislike of jail lead to the government having documents which, when stolen, can lead to the bad guys being able to hack every security system made by my company, replicate every weapon, steal millions if not billions of dollars, and, oh yea, building an army of prototype super suits." Richard said sarcastically as he continued to hold his head in his hands.

"God I'm such an idiot."
