The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

[tsatoma]

Garrus made his way to Tommy and told him that they'd be going to the Pentagon. "Once we're done there we'll be heading straight back here. At least that tsunami was taken care of for the most part. Let's go," he told him as they got on the bike and drove all the way there, having to stop multiple times due to roads being blocked.

When they finally made it there they were stopped by security.
"We're with Society, going to meet Rich, blah blah," Garrus explained before they could even ask who they were.
"Er, fine. Nice boxers by the way," the guard responded snidely.
"At least I didn't fuck up today," Garrus spat back as he and Tommy were led to the rest of the Society members.

"Hey, made it. Sorry it took awhile," Garrus explained, giving a quick nod to everyone.

 

[Souldemon8]

"Guess what Garrus we get to fight an army or robots and I'm the only rich one in the group now," Aaron said pulling up a chair.

 

[blaze96]

"I'm still richer than you, you prick! My business will lose money in the bank though, and for your information, we fight an army in less effective versions of my suit. I hope you like fighting hundreds of slightly less powerful me's, because that's where the world is going." Richard replied.

 

[tsatoma]

"Sounds like fun. So those files you were telling me about were stolen then. Alright, well fuck, any idea who? What else was stolen?" Garrus asked turning off his communicator and signaling for Tommy to do the same.

 

[Souldemon8]

"It's my dream kicking your ass over and over Rich. I must be truly blessed."

 

[blaze96]

"I hope you can take on a hundred of me at the same time, and lets not forget they don't fight by Queensland rules." Richard said as the soldier he had sent away earlier returned with a VCR, a television, and a tape on a cart.

"Thank you soldier, now please leave." Richard said as the soldier saluted and walked.

"Now let's see who did this." Richard said as he popped the tape in and hit play.

They all huddled around the tv and watched intently. The screen showed the very room they were in, perfectly fine and safe. This continued on for another five minutes, with everyone waiting and shuffling as they waited for something to happen.

Suddenly the screen changed to how the room looked like now. There were a few gasps at the sudden change, with the tape being stopped for a sec so they could verify that it did indeed change in a matter of a split second. They turned back on the tape and watched as a hand crept in from the side. It waved at them before getting closer so the words "You've been trolled by Dr. Broadway XOXO" could be read from the palm. It then disappeared and a loud maniacal laughter was heard along with a door slam. With that the tape ended.

"As I thought, it was the Union. I'm almost glad, at least they have a face to put with the name, so to speak." Richard said as he stopped the tape.

Tommy gave Garrus a note.

Who is this Dr. Broadway? Does he kill people with his rendition of Spamalot? Also what's the Union ?

"The Union is basically the Society for bad guys. And we just found out the alias of a member and that they broke into the Pentagon," Garrus explained to Tommy, taking a sigh as he leaned against one of the filing cabinets.

 

[CounterAttack]

Katie was silent, thinking of the events that had happened. Maybe the massive earthquakes had been triggered as a distraction, so this Dr. Broadway and his Union associates could get into the Pentagon. If that's the case, then they could have used a smaller distraction, such as the jailbreak... unless they already know our numbers, which is why they would have used quakes on that big a scale. To trick every one of us into helping civilians and defend the city while they carried out the theft.

If we've got a mole in the Society... who knows how the Union could beat us. At every turn, in every fight...

Richard looked at Katie, he knew that look all too well from the business world.

"Don't go down that path Katie." Richard said simply before explaining.

"Everything has a weakness, it may not be apparent, but it is there. We find it, and we exploit it, but if we begin to suspect our partners and outright fear our enemy, we become blinded. We stop noticing things as we are too busy looking everywhere at once. Stand by your partners until they give you reason not to, and watch your enemy closely to look for an opening to strike. Until then, wait and don't tip your hand."

 

[CounterAttack]

Katie looked up as Richard spoke. He was right, as always. "Sorry. I understand, Richard. Thank you," she said with a small smile. "I wasn't thinking straight. I know this sounds naive, but none of us would betray the Society, right?" She thought of Jason as she spoke, and the strong friendship she had built with him over the past days. Maybe it could actually work out to be something more than that...

Don't think about Jason in that way right now, Katie Southe. Focus on the problem at hand, she told herself.

Richard snapped a few times to bring her back to the rest of them.

"If anyone shouldn't be thinking straight it should be me. I'm the one who now has to worry about themselves, their workers, and the entire planet. Which I may have just handed to the Union on a silver platter if they aren't complete idiots."

 

[tsatoma]

"They aren't," Garrus replied back quickly, scratching at his goatee as he stared at the floor in thought, "Fuck this is bad. Know what else they stole out of here?"

 

[blaze96]

"No clue, the files are numerous and classified. The US is as good as DEFCON 3 at the moment, swiftly moving to 4 or 5." Richard replied from where he sat.

 

[Pm0n3y]

"So. We know who stole the files, and we need to get them back before they launch a third world war. What's the plan?" Jason asked, pacing around the room.

Alright troops, from here on out, consider my post occurances slowed. my Spring Break is over, and my mother jacked me for my DS (my 2nd mode for internet vistations). I'll still be able to post, just not as much.

Simon suddenly appeared in the middle of the room, wiping some blood and vomit off of his suit

"Well, I managed to save most of the people...can anyone give me the abridged version of what I missed?"

He asked a bit tiredly

 

[Souldemon8]

"Rich's suit designs has been stolen by the Union and Rich is going to lose millions...wait billions of dollars," Aaron answered powering down to get more comfortable.

 

[blaze96]

"The suit wasn't stolen, just how to get to it and where it is, so I guess it may as well be." Richard said to Aaron before leaning back in the chair.

"I don't see what we can do honestly, increasing security would tip our hand and they would only escelate further. I can't add an alarm to the suit in case someone logs onto that server because that breaks my agreement with the government. So all we can do is wait and watch, not much else."
