The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

Tommy nodded, put the trunk on the table. He popped the lid and began taking out several pieces of ornate and fragile equipment, a helmet which had dozens of lenses attached, a set of test-tubes filled with bubbling fluids. Several idols, of celtic, pacific-islander, asian, aztec, and middle-east origins. He then gave Garrus a different new note.

 Well, it's already been thoroughly canvased through conventional means, I want to see if magic will give us other an more clues, perhaps if magic was involved, or maybe simply things that didn't leave physical remnants.

Alright I lied. This will be my last post. Maybe. I am pretty bored yet still quite awake. If no one posts in ten minutes or so then I guess I will go to bed.

Garrus was silent as he looked at all the things Tommy had, clearly looking nervous with what the note said. He opened his mouth a few times before saying, "It was magic. I know it was. Don't know the details of it, but I know that it was used to bypass everything. And I know it was one guy."

Tommy nodded, if magic was involved it meant several things. The earthquake was no fluke, if they had magic they could have predicted it or even caused it. It also made Tommy wonder if his team-mates would be prepared to fight a magic-user, he was confident they could handle guns and conventional threats but magic was much different. It also meant that most of Richard's security measures would be useless. He scribbled down a note for Garrus,

  That's what I thought, I've got two questions, who is this guy and do you think the others can handle him?

"Dr. Broadway's name is Leland. I...know him I guess you can say. As for the second question...I honestly don't think so. There is a reason the Union sent him to do that mission," Garrus replied after deciding exactly what he would say, "I have no clue who could handle him. He's unpredictable. Does things for shits and giggles. One of the worst types of villains."

Well let's see:
-We got new cars, bikes, and communicators
-There was a robbery at a mall (Me & CA handled handled it flawlessly)
-There was an earthquake (shit got wreaked; was not cash)
-Villains stole important files from the Pentagon (played around with guards just for shits n' giggles)
-Rich, Gar, and PP! have a meeting, wondering on what to do about the Union.
-Tommy (a newcomer) suspects that magical properties are afoot (Garrus Agrees)
-And lastly: We fucked shit up.

And that should be it. Did I miss anything?

"So I guess magic is what caused this then"

Simon said as he once again appeared before the others, this time he had a tuxedo on along with his mask.

"Or at least a super person. Afterall, scientists all over the world have been able to detect things before, and this one was a bit to well timed to be a fluke"

 

[tsatoma]

"What the hell are you wearing?" Garrus asked, raising an eyebrow at the tuxedo, "And magic is considered a 'super power' so yeah, a super. He packs a mean punch to so I'd add in some super strength, though nothing like PP! level."

Exactly what I was thinking... maybe he can read minds. Simon if you can hear this, that outfit makes you look like your going to a S&M black-tie event.

As he let the more creative parts of his mind wander Tommy wrote gave Simon a note.

  Magic means a lot of things, very few of them good.  Added to that we have almost no idea of what kind of magic we are dealing with, if we did I could prepare.  If he focused on destruction magic I could bring barrier artifacts, if it was summoning, then I bring banishment spells.  But I don't know what Dr. Broadway's focus is, if he has one at all, so if I don't know I can't prepare.

"Well, the hospital is holding this event now that things are all sorted out and I'm set to be a key speaker at the event given my 'Contributions at a time of crisis'"

Simon stated proudly

"Due to the fact that it is a formal gathering they requested I not wear my outfit just the mask..."

He sighed and scratched at the tux

"These events have never really been my thing but I made a promise so I'll make a flashy entrance, say a few kind words and disappear again. I'm sure you guys can do fine without me"

After reading Tommy's notes Simon looked around at the others

"Can't you tell what kind of magic he was using by the tricks he was pulling on the guards this morning? Surely that would narrow it down"

 

[tsatoma]

"That's nice that you'll be speaking. It's good to be rewarded for doing good deeds. That tux is still a little weird with that mask though," Garrus replied with a chuckle, "Tch, wish I knew what type of magic it was. Anyways guys I'm heading off. Tell me in the morning Tommy about that whole magic deal. Night."

With that Garrus went to bed, picking up a few things that had been knocked over before collapsing on his bed.

THE NEXT DAY...

Jason awoke quickly clutching his rupturing stomach. A strained look quickly came over his face. In a flash, he threw off his sheets, kicked open his door, and urgently sped down the hallway.

"No! not yet! I can make it...!" He said as he got to the men's room.

"Almost...there...!" He yelped as he slammed the door behind him.

As speedily as possible, he flipped open the toilet lid, pulled down his pants, and sat.

"Aaahhh...made it just in time." He says with a relieved sigh before looking up.

"DAMN YOU WHITE CASTLE!! YOU'VE BESTED ME YET AGAIN!!" He yelled, shaking his fist to the skies.

Aaron was sitting on the roof of the Promenade. Aaron enjoyed the nice breeze. He could tell that winter was steadily approaching. He stretched and laid back to look up at the ski.

Garrus had a headache the next morning when he woke up. "Aspirin," he muttered, getting up and going to his bathroom. He splashed some water on his face before changing into a tracksuit, walking out and going to the kitchen.

"Aspirin. Tylenol. Ibuprofen. Where the hell is it!?" he yelled going through the cabinets to try and find some pain killers.

Simon said appearing behind the younger man, his long black coat flapping in the breeze

"What brings you up here?"

Katie woke in an uncomfortable position; she was lying on the floor of her room, an arm and a leg tucked under her body and her hair in a mess. She got up and realised she hadn't even made it to the leafy bed she had built, she had been that exhausted from the night's work. Still wearing her jacket, she pulled on a pair of comfortable pants and headed into the Promenade, interested in a shower more than anything else at that point in time.

"Well I went to bed early and if I was up before everyone else. Plus I enjoy the cold for obvious reasons, it helps me think. Though I'm not looking forward to the winter," Aaron replied to Simon still keeping focused on the sky.
