"Well let it but it like this it's good but even worse. My powers become stronger but it comes with a flaw. I may end up loosing my powers based to over exposure. Though the winter solstice is really a *****. I kind of go crazy," Aaron chuckled back.
"Not really as much as I thought it would be. I wish we were fighting more supers though," Aaron replied,"..and dont worry you'll find out what I'm taking about soon enough."
Richard had called to have the security installed. He had woken up a few hours ago and the team had called to report their progress. His suit was free of bullet holes as well, as he had fixed it up again. He left his room in his business suit and decided to just sit in the lounge while waiting for the others.
Katie walked through the lounge, noticing Garrus as she did so. "Morning, Garrus," she said. "Do you know where I can find an unused bathroom? I need a shower before I fully wake up today."
"You forget I sleep outside. I can't exactly grow a shower out of plants, now can I?" Katie said, laughing at the idea. "And yes, that would be nice if you showed me where they are. Oh, hey, Richard," she added upon seeing him take a seat.
"Oh that's right! Damn I guess my mind is just wandering around. Alright, follow me," Garrus said, standing up and leading her to the hall. "Take a right, go all the way down," Garrus said as they walked down the hall, stopping at a large door and opening it, "This is the exercise room. And the women's locker room is to the right. Showers in there."
"Thanks, Garrus," Katie said with a smile as she went inside. She looked around the room for a bit, and noticed all the standard exercise gear had little adjustments to them; most commonly a few extra zeroes added to the ends of numbers. She navigated her way across the floor to the locker room, opened the door and headed straight for the showers.
As she undressed and stepped into one of the shower cubicles, Katie started thinking of things such as what she should wear if Jason was taking her out to breakfast and where they might go. One particular thought stuck in her mind as she turned the shower on: was she going to build a relationship with Jason? Based on what everyone was saying before the crisis, it seemed to be going that way. That may well depend on how breakfast turns out, she answered herself as she let her head and short hair under the hot water.

Richard got up to make himself a bowl of cereal. He was halfway to the kitchen when he got a call telling him the work on the lab had been completed. He had entrusted the instillation to the head of the department that worked on the security systems for his company. Him and the head of his R&D division had helped him design and build that lab from the ground up. They were the only people Richard actually entrusted with being inside of it other than himself. He made his bowl and sat back down to finish watching the news. It was mostly reports on damages and death tolls from the earthquake and ensuing damages.
Garrus made his way back to the lounge and took a seat. He waited until Rich made his way back before saying, "You wouldn't have any magic-related security would you? Because Tommy and I were discussing it last night, Lel- 'Dr. Broadway' used it to break in and bypass security."
Richard didn't miss the slip of the tongue. He responded quickly.
"There is no defense for magic, which I never even thought a possibility until a few days ago. If this is magic, and he can bend the laws of physics, the only defense is deception. There is no camera, sensor, or security system that can detect something that can bend or break every law of modern science. Luckily, if they don't expect what is coming, they may not be prepared, and they may trip the alarm if they think they know what to expect. That will be the only way to detect them, fool them into thinking they know what we have, and then throwing up security measures they did not expect." He though for a few moments before speaking again.
"You almost said a name just now, what was it and who are they? If you know this Dr. Broadway by name, then you must have met him at least once...and he must have made an impression."

"That seems like a good idea. He'll be expecting a number of things, but probably not the new upgrades you brought in," Garrus replied, taking a deep breath before continuing, "His name is Leland Claidt. He's 'Dr. Broadway', and works for the Union. Already knew that though. My impression of him? Complete psycho. Does things for the shits and giggles, doesn't listen to anyone except maybe one or two people, and has a metric fuckton of power at his disposable. So yeah."
"Great, power unrestrained and uncontrollable. This will probably not end well considering unlike you all I don't have powers that don't come from science. I'm going to be wholly useless in a fight with him unless he allows me to actually stand a chance. There is no upgrade, rebuild, or modification that will let me break any law of science. God, everything just seems to screw up whenever I leave the business world." Richard said plainly from where he sat.
