Richard's jet landed at the airport and pulled into a nondescript hangar. A line of black vehicles consisting of four SUV's (two in front and two in back) with a limo in the middle. If one looked out the window they would see very heavily armed men in black combat gear flanking the vehicles, assault rifles and submachine guns in hand. There were enough one could easily figure out each SUV was packed with men, and one man seemed out of place in all of this. Standing in between and in front off these heavily armed men was a single man with nothing but a suit to set him apart.

"Alright, we have arrived and our welcoming committee is here to greet us." Richard said as he stood up in his armored suit.

"Be on your best behavior, no attacking them and no mind reading or manipulation. You comply with what they say if they say anything and everything will be fine." He continued as he walked towards the open plane door.

"Any questions before you all meet my friend?" he asked at the door.

A few minutes away from the street Katie used to live on, traffic came to a complete standstill. Confound it... I forgot about the morning rushes. Maybe I should have stayed in the park a while longer, she thought. She drummed her fingers on the car's steering wheel impatiently. "Now, if scientists had developed hover technology and distributed it to the public, we wouldn't have this sort of problem," she said to herself, trapped on all sides by the mass of commuters.

A couple of people were looking at Katie's Ferrari incredulously, from their own, less expensive vehicles. "Why does everyone like staring at me today?" she asked the car, not expecting a response. Thankfully the windows were tinted, so she couldn't be seen from the outside. Any member of the Society would recognise the car, though, considering they each had their own.

"Come on... let's keep it moving, guys," she said. The traffic, however, refused to move an inch. Katie rested her forehead on the bottom of the wheel and let out a slightly depressed sigh, waiting for someone to start the mob moving again.

"Uh, yeah, I've got one." Alister said, clutching his ears desperately waiting for them to pop.

"Before I point out that I totally called us having to leave the country, I'd like to know what your friend's thoughts on medieval weaponry are. Because frankly I'd rather not be without this thing if this is his idea of a welcoming committee."

"So long as your sword stays in its sheath and you don't go wandering off or acting squirrely, he'll have no problems with it. If he got pissed at your sword, I certainly wouldn't be wearing my armored suit. The welcoming committee is simply a precaution that comes with the territory of our work. There are many people out there in the world who want both me and him dead, so he doesn't go to any meetings alone when he can. It was assured he would have plenty of armed guards once the topic of a group came up, so don't take it personally." Richard replied.

Jason continued to race across the rooftops, almost making a game out the experience as he vaulted over AC units, and showed off his freerunning techniques to nobody but himself.

"It's been a while since I did any parkour!" He thought to himself, panting heavily.

Suddenly, he reached a corner and skidded to a halt. The street below was almost too wide to jump across, and pack with cars. To prevent any casualities, he figured it'd be best to cross the street at ground level. As he climbed down the side of the building, a familiar looking Ferrari caught his eye. He weaved and waded through the sea of cars, a smile growing as he reached it. As his armor receded from his hands, head and face, he knocked on the tinted driver's seat window, begining to talk before the person could roll the window down.

"Um, I'm looking for a "Katie Southe"? She's a Horizion native? I was wondering if you might've heard of her." Jason asked.

Katie flinched at the knocking on her window, and heard Jason's slightly distorted voice through the window. She wound it down a few inches and looked up at him. "Jason... I'm so sorry, Jason," she said. "I had to leave... you understand that, right?" She unlocked the passenger door for him to get in, then looked back up at her boyfriend, hoping for a glimmer of understanding in his eyes.

As a response, Jason leans into her window and locks lips deeply with her, staying like this for what seemed like minutes. As he let go, he still stayed close, gently nudging her with his forehead, returning her look with a look of his own.

"Of course I understand Katie. Not everyone can come back from a near death experience like nothing had happened. You were scared. We all were. After you left, Rich decided that we should all take a little break, and that's how I got here (even though I would've came after you anyway)." He said softly and assuringly to her before running over to the other side to get in.

"So don't worry Kate. Be happy for the life you live, okay?" He said, playfully nuzzling her.

Ironically after waiting for a chance to jump into the whole forum RPG thing, I've decided I don't have the flair for it as I use to once upon a long time ago. So for all intents and purposes, for the seeable future I'm gone. I like to think Connor has gone on to his own solo mini series.

Tsatoma was kind enough to give me an open invite if I ever want to come back at the beginning of a new arc, though I don't expect to be taking it anytime soon.

Finally you guys seem pretty cool, hope you have fun with this and so long.

It took Katie a few moments to recover from the kiss, her mind reeling a little. She knew Jason would have followed her, even if it meant taking a break from the Society. That was what people in relationships did, she thought. They look out for each other. But then, she didn't know much about that particular subject. After all, she had basically thrown herself into this one. If she was going to pursue a strong relationship, she would either have to talk to Jason about slowing theirs down a bit, or - and Katie didn't like the idea of this one - she could break it off with him. Their connection seemed so powerful to her, and she didn't know if she could bring herself to do that. Perhaps she'd gotten herself in too deep.

The traffic finally began moving again, and Katie crept forward behind the van in front. It seemed almost painful to drive such a good, fast car at the crawling pace of the Horizon morning rush. Still, it gave her plenty of time to think. There were plenty of things that could go wrong in her relationship with Jason: one of the Society's many antagonists could easily capture one of them to provoke the other into a reaction; for all Katie knew, it could just fall apart; one or both of them could be killed... the possibilities scared her, perhaps more so than Mordtoten's virus.

Jason sat himself straight in the seat, noticing that Katie still had a look of worry on her face.

"She must still be a bit traumatised." He thought.

"Oh gee, ya think? It's not she would've just forgotten it all with just a little kiss. Things like this take time to heal. Remember, you were like that at one time." Erebus said.

"Yeah I was. Remember that time, when our sensei threw off that cliff to test our activation reflexes?" Jason asked

"Yeah man, I remember. You were shaking in your boots for months after that!" Erebus replied with a chuckle.

After basking in a horror-filled nostalgia trip for a moment, Jason faced Katie.

"Sooo, how're your parents? Are they nice people? Would they mind if a girl like you...was dating a guy like me?" He asked.

Busy, busy, busy. Sorry that not much has been going on, but it'll pick back up shortly. Also, we're officially around 90% done with only a few more things before we slip right into the finale (which we've already figured out)! Woo-hoo! Also, congrats on the roleplay reaching over 100 pages~! That makes two in a row, and hopefully this trend will continue on.

Garrus was about to call everyone to tell them to be ready whenever anything showed up, before realizing that there was almost no one here.

"Rich, new guys, Dona are in England. Tommy is on business. Katie and Jason are on vacation. Fuck that doesn't really leave enough if something really bad happens," Garrus said to himself, now hoping that there wouldn't be any disasters today.

Alister stood with the others on the plane, in a rather awkward silence. Nobody had said a word since his last question, and that had been some time ago. He began to wonder if he was ever getting off the plane.

"So... I think I'm out of questions. Maybe we should get moving now?"

Aaron had parked the car in front of the Promenade and fell out and hit the pavement. Blood was gushing from his face as if it had been pounded in. He could feel at least 8 of his bones broken as he tried staggering to his feet. He limped to the entrance though quickly fell before reaching the door.

"Hey...can..some..one help me out...here," Aaron weakly chuckled.

Garrus sighed, not sure what to do. He could go for another walk, perhaps seek out cats stuck in trees to save.

"Sounds like a plan. And if there are no cats in trees, well I can sure throw a few into them," he muttered to himself as he got up and left the Lounge.

He exited the Promenade from the front door, seeing Aaron and quickly running over. "Great your ruined my cat-saving plans. What the hell happened?" he asked Aaron as he knelt beside him.

"I ran into my brother...well more like half brother. We had a little...discussion," Aaron coughed up some blood as he went on to explain.

"He wasn't in the best of his moods."

"I can tell," Garrus replied as he picked up Aaron to take him inside, "Sounds like a fun discussion. You'll have to tell me about it. Thank goodness we still have a medical area with a doctor." Garrus brought Aaron to the med bay, setting him down on a bed.

"Yes, we should probably get moving. The longer we stand here, the more impatient he gets." Richard said before leading the others off the plane. Dona was the farthest back and strangely quiet as they left. Richard walked up to the man and shook his hand. Dona opened the discussion with her question.

"Not here, I won't be speaking a word of anything until at we are moving."

The man in front of them spoke in an accent that made it clear that not only was he English, he grew up in the aristocracy of the land.

"Of course, perhaps you can give us a quick brief on the way and an in depth one when back at your headquarters?"

The man simply nodded before getting in the limo and expecting them to follow. They all climbed in behind him and the troops guarding the convoy got back in their vehicles before all the vehicles left the hangar in an orderly fashion.

"Sorry for the paranoia back there, but it has saved my life more than once though. The man you're looking for is very much alive. His arson was sloppy, and he left more than enough evidence to confirm his existence to those who knew what to look for." The contact provided the information with calculated vagueness that had been crafted over years of working in intelligence gathering.

"Can't wait to find out what else you learned. I knew you wouldn't let me down." Richard replied. With the convoy using sirens to move quickly they reached the headquarters, it looked like all the other businesses in the area except there was no name anywhere on the building. The contact got them all through the metal detectors and guards without issue and the were soon in a conference room well above the skyline of the city.

"Your man's name is Leon Noles, former actor and magician. He was very good from what I was able to gather, in both respects. We could not confirm nor deny whether he was the one who shot Dona, but his going underground soon after the death would make him a very likely suspect. The fire at his home was meant to get him presumed dead, and it worked. Since then he has found work under many assumed aliases, but never changed his physical appearance. We know he is here because of that vanity, as he was captured on cameras in every city. We don't know where he is hiding out or staying, but considering his credit card doesn't have any charges to any kind of hotel or apartment complex, it is safe to assume he is in a decrepit building somewhere. From his purchases we can assume he is somewhere in this area of the city." The contact said after sliding a file to the center, it contained all the information listed, shots from security cameras dated up until the day before the very meeting, copies of all charges to his credit card and where they came from, and a list of all aliases he had used since going underground. He opened a map of the city up with a circle in red pen near the center of the city and placed it on the table.

"We can't narrow the area down any further than that, but we know he is somewhere in that circle. Any questions?" The contact finished before standing back.
