If anyone wants to see LordKaT do a Spoony rant here you go: http://www.twitch.tv/lordkat/b/322255491 (Spoony stuff starts at around 36mins)
Could you specify in which video? All I'm getting is an overview of LordKaT made stuff.

OT: Well, I don't know what exactly was going down, but I enjoy Spoony's videos for what they are. He's got one of the websites I check regularly and always enjoy seeing new content. Even his bad stuff is better than most shows on the Internet, including TGWTG. I used to be a big fan in their early days, now I'm skipping most of the videos on the site. Some people's segment has become too stale for my taste.

And could it be that the parties parted ways after filming the next Anniversary Special? Should be coming to TGWTG, soon.
Apologies, it would seem that LordKaT removed the video. I suppose it got too controversial, the guy was seriously railing off on Spoony. He also apparently broke a terms of agreement with TGWTG by revealing why he left the site (it essentially because Spoony almost destroyed his career during a past E3 convention).
In the interest of fairness and potential back-pedalling.

The rant is still here and starts from the beginning of the video.

All I really have to say about this is that all (and by all, I mean all that I have seen so far) Channel Awesome producers who have saw fit to comment publicly on the situation have all voiced their support of Obscurus Lupa's actions, in the sense that they feel that she both had a right to be offended and a right to voice her opinion. Now, not all producers have condemned Spoony, but the majority agree that Spoony is a bit unhinged and needs help. Kyle (Oancitizen) has even tweeted (I can't find the tweet, the site is buggy for me) that the situation has never been Lupa Vs. Spoony, it's more Charlie sheen Vs. Charlie Sheen, with Noah unfortunately playing the part of Charlie Sheen.

And let's face it, if you just scroll down Spoony's twitter you'll clearly see something had to give eventually. Besides going of on fans, telling people to f*** off, publicly insulting producers like Oancitizen and JoTron, whose only crimes were to tell him to cool off and try to be more graceful, and even telling Bennett the Sage they were no longer friends, you can see that everything that happened here was his fault, and no one but his.

And don't say being depressed absolves him of guilt. Let's say I have to shoot your mother because if I don't I will die. It rationalizes what I did, but it doesn't mean your mommy is any less dead and that I shouldn't be punished for murder. Same thing here: His depression rationalizes his behavior, but he still chose to pull the trigger, so to speak, and now he's gotta deal with the consequences.
I'm pretty sure in your murder scenario (something ripped right out of the SAW movies) I think you'd be within your legal and moral right to shoot my mother. You're pretty much being forced to at death point... It's not a win, it's a horrible situation for all partys involved.

It's clear channel awesome doesn't care about Spoony the person. Only the spoony that they can treat like cattle and milk for ad revenue until he's to much a burden to keep around anymore. If they'd care they'd offer the kid help, not this shit.

Maybe the drop in cash flow will encourage Spoony to stop moping around and get off (or on) his ass and make some videos in a timely fashion.

If Brad Jones can come out with a snob episode every week and still have time for midnight showings, 80's Dan, writing/staring/directing movies, Ninja The mission Force, and is preparing for an animated series than I think Spoony can come out with 2 episodes a month.
Yeah, the cash flow problem will not snap him out of it. All it will do is further increase the depression within him. I know because I have depression and I've been in a similar situation before. It's going to take some thing within himself to get him out of it and to get the help he needs.

Also, Brad is in a better place in his life right now and is motivated to do all of his shows. Spoony is not.
You know Brad just announced he's getting divorced right?
For real? That's a shame. I rather like that Brad bloke.

Is he actually getting divorced? Last I heard, it was just a separation. Still serious, but not quite a divorce.

Where do you people find this information? From watching the new 80's Dan, and reading the comments, I hear people talking about all the issues with Team Snob, but don't know where it is coming from.

Okay, yeah. LordKat is a grade A dick. I would never talk about a colleague or former colleague in that fashion.

Many many of them tried to offer him help in many ways, he responded with a lot of anger and hate before proceeding to shit on the situation even more. unless they wanted to have him forcible committed it seems they did what they could before things finally escalated to the point were he left.

Wow. That is jaw-droppingly jerky. No, seriously, he made my jaw drop with how much of a dick he was. Lordkat can go fuck off. You failed at doing stand-up comedy, and you are calling Noah a pussy, and talking about how he's an idiot for wanting to do stand-up. Jason, I mean this with all my heart, GO. FUCK. YOURSELF.

And take your own advice, and grow up.

You don't offer someone help in public over social media. You talk in person or at very least call them. I'd react negatively too if someone was saying I had mental health problems in front of my audience.

Latest new on the totally unverified grapevine is that Miles locked away the router and both Spoony's laptops in a gun cabinet so as to keep him from exacerbating things. This WAS from 4chan so, yeah, buckets of salt and all that.

If it is true, however, hopefully that should help him come to terms with stuff, it's nice that he has such a loving brother to help him out.

I honestly think that Spoony would have lost it completely by now (I mean full on institutionalized) if he didn't have Miles. I wish both of them the best of luck.

Well the twitter comment seems a dumb thing to complain about from him. Seriously. Go back a bit and look at some of his reviews. In at least one he makes a mention about raping/killing prostitutes. (something concerning magic, with two brothers being drawn into real world, can't remember the movie name, thinking like master of magic or illusion or something.). This seems much in the same vein of humor he uses. Poor taste, yes, but not worthy of the shit storm here if it was not deemed offensive previously. Especially not by an unrelated third party fanning the flames.

That said, it does seem like he has been worked up lately, and more likely then not the escalation is from how he handled it. As such he will bare the responsibility in that. Given his past in the site though, I can see him returning if he got his shit fixed and under control.

as for the issue of who is at fault and such, I do think both sides played a part in this, but I can't help feel Noah got the shit end of the stick in this. I just can't get past this nagging feeling that this was like poking a sick dog til it snapped back. Or picking on the mentally ill til they made a scene. May not have been the intent, but damn if it does not look like Lupa was trying to get a reaction like this. And intent or not, that is NOT a good thing for the site, especially when a number there seem to be Noah's friends or at least care about him and his well being.

I agree. I mean, I still remember a joke he made during his review of "Death of a Soldier", where he made a crack saying "When I kill women, it's for sexual reasons. Wait! *cue camera issues*". As for the movie you are thinking of, I think it's "Mazes and Monsters".

Thank you. But yeah, exactly, it is his humor. Hell, I was watching the pathfinder campaign where I could have swore JO was one of the players. I get the impression they are at least familiar with one another enough to not see that some horribly offensive comment and more just a crude joke. Though that might be why she blew it off in the first place.

Lets see, do I trust the guy thats been fired and is spewing vemnom on twitter who hasn't been well for months, but someone who's work I've enjoyed or do I trust the company that I have just learned is all about trying to go "mainstream" for ad dollars (from Amazing Atheist video, and given his tone in it I have no reason not to believe it) that write a B.S. release statement, doesnt clearly state what homeboy did wrong, who's own employees antagonized someone who's clearly not well.

>.> Like I said earlier, When the escapist had it's falling out Extra Credits they did write us all a detailed letter explaining their side of the situation right or wrong. CA isn't doing that. And seeing as how the whole entertainer/fan dynamic is based upon the foundation of trust, it's not making me their biggest fans in the world right now.

I do have to wonder. Seems it was used in some argument with lupa, from what people here have been bringing up, and that argument lead to the reaction. But Maybe that is just speculation after all. I don't know much about it I admit.
