I find the ignorance of people portrayed in this advert sickening, I also find it sickening that there are people alive in this day and age that actually think this.

I find two dudes kissing passionately on the lips sickening (not like greetings in Europe, im talking about the whole 9-yards).

I'd rather not watch it either, I dont like watching hetero couples making out even.. But thats no reason to remove marriage rights.

Being married doesnt automatically force people to make out in public.. Two different issues here.

Im making a comment not an argument. Everytime some court, like say for example the one in Iowa, overturns a gay marriage ban (one which the people of Iowa voted on and passed mind you!) there is always a picture of two guys or two girls kissing, its sickening, and no I do not find it sickening when a guy and a girl kiss.

i personally find this whole debate stupid beyond beleif. its your preference in something. to discriminate against a preferance is like discriminating against people that like coke apposed to pepsi. and anybody who says "marriage is sacred", well, i suppose you stayed a virgin until marriage, and if your a woman, you obey your husband to the letter, whip your children, or else your a massive hypocrate, because it says to do all that in the bible as well.

Ok that whole bit about the schools telling children that gay marriage is ok, that was something I would actually get behind. Im not saying you should go around harassing gay people or anything (its their choice after all) but if I were a father I wouldnt want my kids being told that gay marriage is ok. On the flipside I would want them to be taught to tolerate it if it is legal, just as I tolerate things like smoking, if its legal and it doesnt directly affect me, then I tolerate it, even if I think its absolutely wrong. I dont give my opinion on the matter unless someone asks me or unless it does affect me somehow.

Not that I think rampant alcohol abuse should be widely accepted, in fact I work drug prevention for teens... I certainly think that alcohol should be used wisely... but not regulated by the government, they always make things so much more... sticky.

Same with gay marriage, while it doesnt personally affect or interest me in the slightest. I don't think we should be legislating the OPINION of a group of people (regardless how large/zealous) especially when its purpose is to denigrate and oppress..

(before someone jumps on me for the "large groups may sometimes be right" statement)I understand that murder is commonly opposed and believe it should be a crime, its disenfranchising people (well.. killing them) and removing their rights/possibilities to life (again, killing). There is no similar reasoning with this whole gay marriage ban.

Love isnt a crime.. neither is desiring equal rights. Civil Rights strikes again! (or.. more appropriately; will strike again)
