How does fighting demons in Dante's Inferno make you eligible for hell? I thought demons were bad?

First of all, I want to point out that both AC and Dante's inferno are about the crusades, a time period that most extreme Christians conveniently forget about every time they decide that something that they don't like "causes violence."

Also, I never really get how killing demons is considered bad either.

Oh I do love Christian Ignorance, Assassin's creed is yes about a Muslim Assassin killing Christians. Not because they're Christians but because its set during the Crusades, and if you didn't fall asleep during history you'll know the Christians were the ones at fault, and the biggest douches of it.

Everyone here seems to think Altair is a muslim. In fact, he's atheist. If you're going to argue anything about the game being anti-christian, argue the fact that they pretty much imply to the point of just stopping short of saying that Jesus used the apple to convince people of his power, or use the ending or hidden scene of AC2.
As for Dante, as I have said MANY times before, it really has a lot of messages that one could consider to be quite deep, such as the question of justified violence, true love vs. law of heaven (is true love actually considered good), and of course the classic of don't make deals with the devil (especially not bets against beings of higher power than you).

What a laugh! The 'think of the children' patrol is back at it again. The LHLA (Living His Life Abundantly) have compiled a list of their top 8 games featuring satanic themes. My two favorites would have to be Guitar Hero and Assassin's Creed! Do these titles really bother anyone or is this attitude these type of games the real problem? I mean, if you don't like it, no one is making you play it.

I would everyone to note, that Darksiders, a game where you kill Angels, Dark Angels, and you beat the crud out of The Archangel Uriel for that matter, and in sence, the angels are kinda the bad guys, is not on this list of games.

Funnily enough, there's more story to that then just the famous quote they were referencing. Namely, its a reference to the angels Lucifer and Michael about serving Jesus (It's funny that I was able to find and the fundy couldn't pick that out). Also, wasn't the whole game about Revelations? It should be worth mentioning then that not all angels in that book were... nice (some of them were locked up in a pit because of that). Yes I did find all of this through the use of boredom and blue links, but it's shameful that I was able to when the artical writer was not.


Listen, Christians out there: Yes there is evil in this world (you can easily tell that by talking to a serial killer) but if you've got to know when to just stop. I know you're taught that the devil is trying to tempt you in every single way, and I know that video games now contain things that go against your beliefs, but seriously, get over yourselves. You just embrass yourselves if you do things like this. Why? I believe there are some quotes from that bible that you quote convient passages from everytime you need back up (Say, something along the lines of the person without sin being the first to condemn a sinner). If you truely believe something is a temptation, it's your job to not give in, not to point at others and complain about them. If you intend to claim to have the high ground, make sure that you do first.

The Dragon Age one made no sense. Yes, the Archdemon is a "fallen god", but the game makes a distinction between "old gods" and "The Maker", who is a pretty obvious stand-in for the Judeo-Christian God. Also, as has been pointed out, the game has a Jesus, and her ashes cure people.

And on top of that, pretty much everyone in the game who is shown as being religious is a good guy. Even many of the fundamentalists, like the Templars, are at least portrayed sympathetically.

On the whole, I would say that DA:O is closer to being Christian propaganda than it is to being satanic.

I'm Catholic, and I didn't find any of those games offensive in any way whatsoever.

Also, didn't the dickspurt who compiled this list bother to note that the God and religion in Dragon Age was fictional? I mean yes, you could see the Catholic influence, but it was hardly enough to get shitty over.

As for Assassin's Creed and Koudelka, those games actually had historical references to the parts of Christianity's history that twats like this would rather forget about, so they HAD to make the list.
